Chapter 2 - I Really Hate Doors

A ceiling, that was the first thing I saw, an off-white ceiling with no distinction between it and the walls around it.

I pushed myself off a bed.

I looked around the room I assumed to be in and took in my surroundings.

The room appeared to be like any other room, I'll be it a bit empty for it's size. It consisted of a bed, a night stand, a wooden desk and a bookshelf. On one side of the wall, twin doors jutted out, probably a closet.

I opened the nightstand drawer, inside was a strange assortment of things, a crystalline see through ball with another sphere floating in the middle, a weathered book, probably a journal and a single feather, seems like a quill.

I looked over to the desk, on it was a giant open book. I ignored it.

I made my way to the door and put my hand on the handle.

I opened door.

*creeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaak*

The door opened with a ear bleeding creak, I looked past the open door and saw…

.

.

.

Nothing. Well not Nothing nothing, but more like 𝒩ℴ𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃ℊ. A void, an absence of color, nothing.

'That's a bit off putting'

I made my way through the door.

putting my foot beyond the door to where I believed ground would be, I fell.

the moment my full body came out of the door, it felt like I was weightless, like I was floating in space.

But in the blink of an eye, I was on a bed , looking up at an off-white ceiling.

I pushed myself up and gazed around the room.

A feeling of deja vu washed over me as I took everything in, the nightstand, the dresser, the desk which had a giant book laying on it, and even the door on the far side of the room.

'I've been in this room before…'

As I continued to look around the room, My eyes quickly darted back to the door.

There was something engraved on the door frame.

I ran over to the door and examined the frame, Strange symbols seemed to be engraved on the door. They seems to glow an off white color slightly darker than the rest of the room.

From what I could see, there was a pattern of symbols going around the whole door.
