After a couple minutes of sitting in silence together Eli spoke to Tearia.
"So, have you decided yet?"
"Decided what?"
"Don't play dumb with me you know exactly what I'm talking about."
"...."
He was right, Tearia knew what he was asking but she just didn't want to answer it just yet. Though she already had her answer mostly decided now so unless something changed it would stay the same. She had stayed up hours every night losing sleep trying to figure out what she wanted to do. Finally after more than a couple extra tired days for her she had finally figured out what she wanted to do. "It wasn't an easy decision." Choosing either option was a struggle for her but she was happy with her choice.
"You only got a couple weeks left to decide you know?"
"Don't worry, Just give me a little more time okay? I just want..."
"Just want to?"
"Prove to myself something."
"Is that why you seem so impatient lately?"
"Kind of....."
"Haaa...Very well. I'll leave it be then I guess."
"Thanks."
Shaking his head looking at Tearia's smile Eli couldn't feel the same emotions but maybe he was worrying a little too much. "Well, at least this is progress and that's better than nothing." Shaking his head he started walking out into the field again beckoning Tearia to fellow him. Their break was over and now they would start fighting again. Getting into position he stood there and waited for Tearia to be ready. "Now lets really take a look at how you've improved." Since he stopped the fight before he didn't get time to get a full look out how Tearia's progress was but now he could hopefully.
Watching her sprint at him again even knowing her usual position in their fights he smiled on the inside. "Good, always try for the initiative whenever you can." Maybe that was too brute force of an option but Eli hated being on the defensive all the time unless he had to and would rather take the damage sometimes instead of blocking when he was younger. Though he had grown out of those reckless habits as he had gotten older and realized how silly that was but a part of him still knew he wasn't entirely wrong in such an approach. "Within reason of course." That was especially so after he met his wife. Blocking Tearia's first he went to grab and hold her in place but missed just barely.
"Good speed and reactions." It seemed she had been working on that a lot more lately similar to him but he had noticed that attack lacked some strength but he let it go for now since it was just the first one. "Now to follow." He wouldn't let her run so easily as he calmly approached her while she dodged backwards. Attacking he forced her down to the ground with his palm but she was still able to block a decent amount of damage from his attack and even use the momentum to get herself back up quickly. "Smart." Thinking that he pursed as he was now on the full offensive like always.
"If she's so desperate to land a hit then I hope she doesn't mind if I make her struggle as much as possible." He had an idea of what she wanted to prove to herself and if he was right he wouldn't just hand it to her but instead make her work even harder for it. Then he could honestly praise her and tell her she did a good job without feeling like he was lying. With another attack from him she got in between his arms rushing for his stomach while pushing away his arm. "That's new." Seeing that he was forced to back off himself and gain some distance.
"Still no strength behind her attacks. It seems she might be using too much energy to maintain her lightning. That's not good." Maybe it wasn't her fault entirely but Tearia kept trying to attack with her lightning well forcing all her strength into her body while forgetting her hands. " The lightning isn't strong enough right now to deal enough damage alone but I can't blame her. She's probably struggling just to keep that going." Without adding strength into her physical attack as well later on she would never be able to defeat someone stronger then her let alone even on par with her. At most she would be able to only beat someone below her in strength with such a method. "I'll make sure to mention that later." After dodging he swung around to her side and launched an attack at her.
Watching her jump in surprise so suddenly he smiled as his palm came closer and landed directly on the side of her gut forcing her to stagger a little bit while coughing. "Thankfully she can take a hit now "But..." He was still worried.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, continue."
"Alright."
With that said he pursued again getting ready to launch another attack. Fighting back and forth for a little bit the two of them traded attacks for hours on end. Even Eli was starting to work up a sweat at this point while Tearia could feel her bones turning weak but she was still standing. "But How can I hit him?" She had tried everything she could think of these past couple of hours but nothing had worked. She was starting to feel that urge of impatience again at this point but she held it back as she calmed herself while dodging. "He simply has no openings." Her Grandfather never let her guard down it seemed leaving it almost impossible to attack him especially when she was constantly under his attacks.
"What do I do."
Trying to think of something she blocked another attack before backing off while continuing to think. Yet Tearia was almost at a lost before she heard a quiet voice talk to her that she recognized.
