Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Need A Hand?

In the Selturn Zone the whole area was split up into three fragments from what she heard from Xilo. The first was obviously the forest they were currently in that was filled with all sorts of wild mutated Astral Beasts on the weaker end of the spectrum. The second fragment was the giant mountain that separated the first and second fragment in between or in other words the passage to the third fragment and the only way to get there was to travel through the inside of the mountains until they eventually reached the exit leading to the third and final fragment which was a giant castle that floated in the middle of the air and connected itself with the mountains.

Inside the Castle was the highest level of Astral Creatures that were mainly consisting of Undead types. Ranging from typical guards you'd find normally in castles all the way up to the king. Thrown in between were some that could spawn the dead or control them and created armies to attack the people who invaded inside it. Making it one the hardest area of the zone especially considering their strength was at the top end that started leading towards the seventh stage otherwise known as the Star Stage. Beating it solo was an insanely difficult task as well because of the sheer numbers that would be thrown at whoever entered. So if Xilo and herself wanted to enter and even attempt to beat it they would have to hopefully find more people to join them along the way. Apparently there were also rumors going around of an Undead Dragon type somewhere in the castle grounds but so far no one had ever found it or confirmed it's existence. Everyone in the castle had heard roars every once in a while that remesembled one but others thought it was something else so it was anyone's guess as to what it was and since it was just something Tearia told them in passing they couldn't exactly confirm how true it was.

Currently the Skeleton standing in front of her was one that made its way from the cave or castle and stumbled here eventually either way it wasn't too important to her. What concerned her the most was how gross the creature standing in front of her looked. It was an open skeleton with cracks here and there with dried flesh hanging from random parts of its body and that was not even the worst part. "It smells Awful." Just inhaling it's scent made her feel like puking and she wasn't even that close to it yet. She had killed people before and was use to such things to a certain extent herself but even then she still couldn't handle the smell of it's rotten flesh as she got closer into its sight line.

"Geh."

It made her want to return to Xilo's side as soon as possible. His smell was something that constantly calmed her down and warmed her body and it made her appreciate just how nice it really was. Finally entering the Skeleton's line of sight it turned it's hollow eyes towards her slowly at first then beyond her assumption the second it saw her instead of being slow and and methodic like it was before it charged at her like a mad bull with whaling sounds constantly coming out of its dislocated jaw that caused her to stutter for a second due to the sound. Even farther away Tearia and Xilo were affected as well.

"Is there going to be more like this is in the future..."

Shivering at the thought she watched as it crazily dashed into her and brought it's mouth up trying to bite her instead of using any other part of its body. Backing up slightly at the unexpected sight she brought her left leg up in an attempt to kick it away but in the end she ended up bashing her foot off it's hard skull. Taking that blow it staggered for a second but continued on. Seeing that she knew it probably didn't feel any pain at all which would make this fight a lot harder since she had to hold back. Taking the opportunity to attack first this time she punched the back of its neck as it jumped at her and slammed it onto the ground only to have it reach out with one of it's arms and grab her leg. Yelping in surprise she was caught for the moment.

"Eiii!!!"

"RAAAAAAAA."

Both screaming at the same time she tried to shake her leg from it's grip but couldn't. Stuck there and panicking, she almost transformed back into a lizard to escape but stopped herself because she knew that wasn't what she needed right now. Unfortunately old habits die hard so she knew it would probably happen a couple of more times. Instead she tried to kick it's leg with all her might.

*Crack*

With that sound she saw the arm holding her leg have a crack appear in it. "It isn't that hard after all." Finding some hope she constantly struggled to keep it from grabbing her other leg she wiggled around constantly keeping out of range from it's other arm until eventually she gained another opening and brought her leg down again on the same spot.

*Crack*

With another cracking sound echoing in her ears she watched as the arm finally let go of her and crazily backed away the second she could. Unfortunately she didn't completely break its arm off and only got it let go. So she was still going to be stuck in a struggle with it.

"Gross."

Staring at her ripped pants and the hand mark that was left on her legs frustrated her and grossed her out but she knew now wasn't the time.

"What's it's weakness?"

Taking a second she stared at the Undead charging at her as she analyzed it in hopes of finding some kind of weakness that might help her. Alas she found nothing. She wasn't too familiar with the creature she was fighting and she didn't have nearly as much experience with fighting as XIlo had now. Most of her fights had always been easy except for a couple so now her shortcomings were slowly appearing.

The dad jokes are coming out. I hope you groaned c:
