MORNING

I will be changing my writing style a bit and shift it to 3rd person POV. You might notice a bit of improvement.

-------

Travis's eyes shot open, his heart racing as he gasped for breath. His surroundings gradually came into focus—his old room, the familiar posters on the walls, and the soft morning light filtering in through the window.

He blinked rapidly, trying to shake off the remnants of the intense dream that had jolted him awake. The sensation of battling All For One and the overwhelming surge of power felt so real, as if he had truly been engaged in a titanic struggle.

As he sat up, his hand automatically reached for his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath his palm. It was a stark reminder that he was back in the world he had known, a world where his past and present converged in ways that were often difficult to comprehend.

Travis's breath began to steady as he took in his surroundings, realizing that he was safe and sound in his childhood room. Max, the old dog, stirred beside him, lifting his head and giving a sleepy yawn before settling back down to sleep.

"Bad dream, huh?" Travis murmured, his voice a mixture of relief and residual tension. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to shake off the lingering unease from the dream. The last thing he remembers before he was sucked into this world was the fusion of the two Quirks, 'Or, maybe... Humm..."

The dream had felt so vivid, so intense, as if it was a continuation of the battles he had faced in the alternate world. The fusion of All For One and One for All, the clash of their powers, and the overwhelming energy—every detail had been etched into his memory as if it was an actual event.

As he took a deep breath, Travis realized that his heart was still pounding, his body reacting to the residual adrenaline from the dream. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat there for a moment, collecting his thoughts and grounding himself in the present.

"It was just a dream," he whispered to himself, his voice firm with conviction. "Just a dream."

He ran his hands over his face, the sensation of his palms against his skin a reassuring reminder of reality. It was disorienting how dreams could feel so immersive, blurring the lines between past and present, between the world he had lived in and the world he now inhabited.

Standing up, Travis stretched his limbs, his muscles protesting the abrupt wakefulness. He glanced at the clock on his bedside table—it was already morning. The events of the previous day—the reunion with his parents, the explanations shared with them, and the emotional roller coaster—came rushing back to him.

He walked over to the window and pushed the curtains aside, allowing the soft sunlight to bathe the room in a warm glow. Outside, the world was waking up, and the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling carried on the gentle breeze.

He took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of familiarity and new beginnings. He needed a moment to gather his thoughts, to process the dreams that had visited him in the night and the reality that awaited him in the day.

His gaze shifted to Max, who was now fully awake and looking at him with those old, soulful eyes. Travis smiled, walking over to the old dog and crouching down to pet him.

"You've been with us through thick and thin, haven't you, old boy?" Travis said softly, his fingers gently ruffling Max's fur. "You were there when I was just a kid, and you're still here now."

Max wagged his tail, his eyes reflecting a depth of understanding that only a loyal companion could possess. Travis found solace in the presence of the old dog—the steadfastness of their bond a constant source of comfort.

With a final pat on Max's head, Travis stood up and began to go about his morning routine. As he washed his face and got dressed, he felt a sense of determination settling within him. The dream, as unsettling as it had been, served as a reminder of the challenges he had faced and the battles he had fought. It was a reminder that even though he was back in his original world, the echoes of his experiences in the alternate world still resonated within him.

"I need to find a way to bring everyone together," he said to himself as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. "My friends from the other world and my friends here... I can't let those connections fade away."

With a renewed sense of purpose, Travis headed downstairs to join his parents and Sarah for breakfast. He could hear their voices and laughter drifting from the kitchen, a comforting sound that filled him with warmth.

As he walked into the kitchen, he was greeted by the aroma of freshly cooked food and the sight of his parents and Sarah sitting around the table. It was a simple scene, but one that held a profound significance—the gathering of loved ones, the sharing of a meal, and the affirmation of the bonds that tied them together.

"Good morning," Travis said, his voice carrying a mixture of gratitude and determination.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Sarah teased with a grin. "Did you finally wake up from your beauty sleep?"

Travis chuckled, the lightheartedness of Sarah's comment easing the lingering tension from his dream. He pulled out a chair and took a seat at the table, greeted by the familiar spread of breakfast dishes his mother had prepared.

"Beauty sleep? I thought someone older than me needed the beauty sleep. How old are you again?" He smirked.

"Hey now, age is just a number," Sarah retorted playfully, wagging a finger at him. "Besides, I'll have you know that I've aged gracefully. Can't say the same for you, mister."

Travis laughed, picking up a fork and digging into the scrambled eggs on his plate. "Graceful, huh? Is that why you're always tripping over your own feet?"

Sarah pretended to gasp in mock offense. "Excuse me, that only happened once, and it was because someone left their backpack in the middle of the living room."

"Oh, you mean that backpack that you conveniently didn't see because you were too busy scrolling through your phone?" He raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

She chuckled, shaking her head. "You're lucky I have a good sense of humor, Travis."

"That's true. Otherwise, I'd be in serious trouble," Travis replied with a grin.

His parents exchanged amused glances, clearly enjoying the banter between Travis and Sarah. The atmosphere was light and cheerful, a stark contrast to the weighty conversations of the previous day.

"I have to say, it's wonderful having both of you here," Travis's mom said, her eyes filled with warmth. "Our home feels alive again."

Travis nodded in agreement, a genuine smile on his face. "It's good to be home, Mom."

"So, any plans for today?" Travis's Dad asked as he buttered the toast.

"Well, I was thinking of taking a stroll around. It's been a long time, so, I guess I will do a little catching up," Travis replied as he took the glass of orange juice.

"That sounds like a good idea," Sarah chimed in. "Things have changed in five years."

His parents nodded in agreement, supportive smiles on their faces. "Just remember to take your time and enjoy the little things," his mom added.

"Definitely," Travis said.

"So, son. You are not planning on strolling alone, are you?" Travis's Dad said as he gave a little nod to his mom.

"Yeah. Why don't you take Sarah with you?" His mom added with a smile.

Travis glanced at Sarah, his heart warming at the idea. Taking a stroll around the neighborhood with her by his side sounded like a wonderful way to ease into the familiar surroundings and catch up on the changes that had occurred during his absence.

He looked back at his parents, a grateful smile on his face. "That's a great idea, actually. Sarah, what do you think?"

Sarah nodded, her smile matching his. "I'd love to join you. It'll be nice to explore the neighborhood together."

Travis's dad chuckled. "Good, good. Just make sure you're back in time for dinner. Your mom is planning something special."

His mom shot his dad a playful look. "Oh, now you've spoiled the surprise!"

His dad just grinned and shrugged. "Guess they'll have to wait and see."

After finishing breakfast and helping his mom clear the table, Travis and Sarah got ready for their stroll.

[Wofff!] [Wooofff!] Max ran to the door with his leash in his mouth, wagging his tail.

"Alright, stop with that look," Travis took the leash from his mouth.

"He missed you," Sarah said with a smile.

"Yeah, no doubt about that. Let's go, old sport..."

They stepped outside into the fresh morning air, the sun casting a warm glow over the neighborhood. As they walked side by side, Travis took in the sights—the familiar houses, the trees that had grown taller, and the subtle changes that marked the passage of time.
