Chapter 5: In trouble

"You frustrated lady, looking for whom you gonna pour out your frustration? Well I am not interested in what you have to say, so please can you now excuse me?" Mariah said as she continued ahead. For no reason, Lana hated seeing Mariah, they grew up together in a street not far from the main town, been a kid, Lana had always wanted all what belonged to Mariah, but that was not how Mariah saw her, she took her as a friend and Lana did not hesitate to slap in the face by making out with Khloe, she knew that Mariah never looked bed Khloe as her mother was the principal reason why her parents divorced. While growing up, Mariah had always had this image of her and vowed never to accept neither Lana nor Khloe close to her.

"I heard you no longer belong to the Easton family, well I'm sorry," Lana said with a smile on her face.

"Oh really, you are so sure of that, well let me shock you, I'm still legally married to Neil and for nothing on earth will I accord him a divorce, you can tell Khloe so she knows she is just a side chick and nothing more, now excuse me you better for attention," Mariah mentioned.

Mariah was a calm lady who respected all her entourage, she was the selfless type who cared about everyone and her priority was seeing everyone happy, but when you tempered with her, she got furious and reduced you to pieces, she had always loved Lana, not knowing she was actually one of the reasons for her downfall. As Lana and Mariah we're exchanging words, Naja got angry and without wanting to, she pushed Lana on the wall and asked her to excuse them. They left and moved a little bit forward there she met a cab going through their direction. "Bobby snacks?"

"Sure!" the cab driver said. They entered the cab and were on their way, Naja saw Mariah's mood and tried changing the conversation and talked when they were still young. "Hey Naja I know you are worried about me, but I want you to know that I'm grown up now, and I can learn on how to manage my emotions, you won't keep protecting me for the rest of your life okay," Mariah said while looking straight into Naja's eyes.

"Yeah, I know it's not easy but right now all I'm trying to do is bring you some comfort,"

"And I really appreciate, but you won't keep protecting me all the time," Mariah mentioned. They arrived at their destination. "How much is our bill?" Naja said.

"It's 23$ madame," the cab driver said. Mariah had some money in her hands and thought of sorting out the bill "let me handle that." as she said. Naja had taken out some cash in her handbag and refused Mariah settling the bill. She gave him the money and asked him to keep the balance, the cab driver was amazed and he thanked her.

Getting to the restaurant, Mariah asked why she refused her from setting the bill and Naja said because she was one who invited her over. Getting into the restaurant, Bobby Brown was on his way out, "Hello good morning Sir," Naja addressed her boss.

"Good morning Naja how was your night?" he asked

"Fine Sir, can we talk before your departure?"

"Can't that wait? I'm late already." Bobby said.

"It's just 5 mins,"

"Okay then, but not more than 5 mins." Naja told her boss she wanted Mariah to assist her in the kitchen she needed some help, Bobby who was late for his trip told her they were going to talk about that when he comes back. She then pleaded if Mariah could with her while waiting for his return and without thinking Bobby accepted, he later went out of the restaurant to go meet his driver who had been waiting for him for the past 20 minutes.

On previous occasion, Bobby will never accept an intruder to step into his channel of production, his restaurant was so important to him, not only because of the sales they generated as there was more to that, seeing his mother loving the restaurant each day which passed made him to be emotionally attached.

Lana had long arrived home, and things seemed not to be clear, she thought Neil and Mariah we're divorced now so her friend Khloe could replace her. "Why would Mariah refuse to accord a divorce to Neil, he is no longer interested in her she should know that and accord him a divorce so he can begin a new life with Khloe. Lana being afraid that Khloe was wasting her life with Neil called her so they could talk about what they planned. "Hello"

"Hello princess, how are you?"

"I'm good and you?" Khloe said.

"I'm great only worried for you, I met Mariah not long ago and she vowed never to accord a divorce to Neil, and I taught of you, what are you gonna do now in this case?" Lana asked.

"What, Mariah can't do that to me, she can't expect me to live under Neil's roof without being married to him," Khloe yelled out.

"I don't know what to say, in this situation but you have to talk to Neil," Lana declined the call and continued with her activity, the fact of thinking about what Mariah said left her speechless, it was difficult to understand that being out of Neil's house she had more rights more than Khloe who was inside the house. "I'm not gonna let that happen, Mariah isn't the one responsible for Neil's reputation so she should liberate him, and I will make sure all that takes place, I'm tired of seeing her gain all what I wanted for myself," Lana mumbled.

After Khloe declined her call, she left for Jane's room who was taking her siesta, she never minded walking her up, as she felt the need to.Jane woke up and was little bit furious, she asked Khloe if what they had to discuss couldn't wait, Khloe told her she couldn't wait as what she just heard bothered her a lot. Jane, curious, asked her to take a seat close to her and explain what she heard. Khloe in anger told her everything she discussed over the phone with Lana. "Oh that, I heard that too through Neil, but you don't have to panic about that, you are the one he chose, and for the divorce papers I'll handle that by myself, I won't allow her take advantage of what my son has worked for," Jane said while looking straight into her eyes.
