Fate Sophia had always been fascinated by human emotions. Even as she stood over the bruised body of the young scientist. she couldn't help but wonder how the boy would felt after everything he had been through.
Sophia had the monumental task of making the boy either forget about the princess or getting rid of him completely. She like all the others didn't want to hurt the boy, but for the sake of the future they forsaw. Sophia was willing to move with a strong hand against him if necessary.
She reach out her hand toward the boy and touched him. A gentle flow of magic seeped into him, and began easing the pain of his lingering injuries.
"With this he would sleep better."
After observing him for another moment. Sophia entered his mind as she caused him to dream.

Renat sat at a desk in his quarters at the infirmary. He found him self sketching designs as he often does. A Wave of inspiration had fallen over him. Countless ideas and connections that he never thought of before, were flowing through his mind. In his excitement a wide grin was plastered on his face. The only thing that could make this moment better would be if a certain someone we're here with him. At that thought he heard a familiar voice sound behind him.
"What are you working on?"
Renat didn't even turn for he new who it was.
"Something incredible,"he responded. Renat continued to write as fast has he could, so none of his inspirations would dissipate.
"Don't be so mysterious show me," came a reply.
"Ok. Come look. I call it The Flyer," he responded beckoning the girl over to look at his designs.
"My inspiration came from the dragons. Why must we be tied to the ground while they attack from the skies."
"Meriwen" looked over his shoulder and gasped. She had never seen anything like it before. While Fates couldn't invent things they had the ability to inspire from thier vast knowledge of the world. The design was all his own, but the knowledge and required principles came to him and from her.
"It's amazing," she said breathlessly
"Yes"
"Can you really build it?"
"I think so, not bad for a kitchen boy eh."He said with a bit of pride.
" No, not bad at all. In fact it's quite spectacular. You are indeed quite the genius," she said with all sincerity.
" Thank you, You know I've been thinking alot since I almost died. No matter how I look at it there is one thing I would reget more than anything if I was to not do it."
"Don't talk like that. You won't die I've almost lost you once I won't again, I love you. You're my best friend and favorite subject. Also my mother needs your brilliant mind. she said with a wide grin even patting him on the shoulder. " We must over come the gnomes, and stop my Brother 's foolishness. The empire needs you my brilliant scientist. "
Renat's mind blanked when meriwen said she loved him but while her first words sent him to heaven. Her next sent a dagger through his heart waking him from his stupor. he chuckled painfully. "I love you to princess as your friend and subject." 'And most importantly I love as a man would love a woman', he added inwardly.
"Meriwen" smiled and pretended to not know what he was thinking.
"One day after all this. I want to travel the world. see all there is to see, visit Brinn's home. Hopefully this Flyer can help me do it, said the princess as she looked at the wall with a far off gaze."
"It can your highness I would be honored to fly you any where . Once im sure it's safe. "
"Meriwen" chuckled, " Don't be silly. how could you come with me? The empire needs you here, Plus I don't want to come back for a long time. By that time wouldn't all the ladies that fancy you be jealous, if you were to follow me for so long."
"There are no such ladies." ' The only lady I want is you anyway,' he added to himself.
"Gosh, are all men as blind as you? How can one come up with such brilliant ideas and yet can't see the obvious."
"What?Who?" He queeried.
"Allison one of my ladies in waiting. She loves to hear stories of you, and doesn't seem to be able to take her eyes off of you when you are around. I can't believe you haven't noticed"
"I.....I didn't," he said bewildered.
"Good thing you have me as a friend or else you would have missed such a lovely woman. When I get back I'll introduce you"
"Get back?"
"Meriwen" rolled her eyes at him, "Yes get back do you think I am in valiant still or that you are awake right now."
"What?!?!"
"It's time to wake up Renat" came a voice out of Meriwen's mouth that didn't belong to her.
"Renat," came the voice again as the boy was gently touched on the shoulder.
When Renat reluctantly opened his eyes. He saw Allison standing over him shaking him from his sleep. When thier eyes met the girl blushed demurely. before clearing throat and speaking in a voice barely above a whisper.
"It's time to wake up. You have to play the part of Her Highness' servant. So I thought I'd wake you to keep up the pretense and not be suspected."
"Oh, thank you," He replied. Every moment of his dream had been almost inscribed into his mind. Even Meriwen's words about Allison. Renat did not really know how to feel. At one end He couldn't wait to sleep to see Meriwen again.
Though he knew she wasn't real. Everything about her seemed so genuine, that he could dream about her for a lifetime. He remembered her words of friendship and felt a dull pang in his chest. Then it was like a gust had blew through is mind as all his blueprints for the flyer came to him.
Renat was so excited he tossed the covers from over him, and jumped off the couch where he was sleeping. When he stood he heard a surprised yelp from Allison.
"What's wrong, he asked as he looked at the maid. She had her face turned away from him but from his vantage point he could see her cheeks were flushed red.
"I....I'm sorry. I did not know you weren't proper," Allison responded with a breathless voice barely above a whisper. She didn't turn her head back but peaked out of the corner of her eye to see Renat look down at his shirtless chest and trousers. He didn't have the body of a solider but the years of physical labor as a kitchen boy, had caused him to be slim and in shape. a sight that Allison guiltily enjoyed very much.
Renat's Face became beat red "I...I'm sorry," he gasped as he grabbed a shirt and threw it on. his face looking like a ripe tomato. His mind quickly snapped him into action to avoid his deep embarrassment. "Please," he asked the equally flustered maid. " Pass me piece of parchment and a writing instrument. I must get this all down before I forget."
Sophia stood to the side looking at the awkward youth. A light smile dawned upon her lips. The plan had some hope yet. While Renat had a long way to go in all this. Young men were easily swayed by thier passions. She was sure given enough time she could easily change the boys mind about whom he should love. If there had been years of bonding then there would be no such hope, but luckily the boy an the princess had only known each other a few months. Sophia believed all infatuation could change before it truly became a love built upon time and bonding.
"Nooooo. I can't remember the last part," came renat's voice removing Sophia from her thoughts.
"You foolish brain all you had to do was hold on for two more minutes. Couldn you not do just that?"
"May... Maybe I can be of help," came Allison's voice. She had walked over to the boy to look at his scribblings. when her eyes landed on the paper she wasn't sure what she was looking at. it was an incomplete blueprint of a machine of some kind.
There were pieces missing it looked like. As to what the machine was she had no idea. She was just about to ask him what it does when a voice sounded in her head that sounded much like her mother's. "Flying Machine"
"Flying Machine?" Allison repeated not sure of the voice in her head. She wasn't really sure whom she was talking to when the words left her lips but Renat heard her non the less.
"Yes...Wait. You recognize what I'm designing?" He asked in shock.
Allison on her part was too stunned to speak her mind reeling between the voice she was sure she heard and the shock that Renat was truly building a flying machine.
"You're truly amazing Renat," she said her eyes not leaving the machine blueprint.
"Thank you, but not amazing enough it seems. I can't remember these last parts.," he groaned in frustration. He then proceeded to point out out the blank spots on the blueprint.
Allison looked at the blueprints in a daze. She really didn't know how to help the brilliant young man beside her. She just knew she wanted to be helpful. She had heard many stories from the princess of his brilliance and would very much like to be of help to him in his latest endeavor but was truly stumped. As she was about to apologise for her inability to help. Two faint images appeared in her mind.
Again Allison was stunned into inaction. The more she looked at the blue prints the more these two impression's in her mind seemed to fit.
'This cant be," she though to herself, but the more she stared. The more the images seemed to fit. Allison did not know what to do. She was sure she had heard her dead mother's voice and now these images. she shook her head to clear her mind ready to leave Renat to his work, but again before she could say anything to comfort the man. The voice came again.
"Draw"
Allison was sure this time that her mother was somehow helping her. she didn't believe in much weather it be fates or magic or the afterlife. She had to much to do to be sure of what she believed, but now she was convinced. Of what? She still was sure. All she new was she was experiencing something magical, the why didn't matter what did was that she was now probably able to help Renat.
"May I see you writing Quill?" she asked in a mouse like voice. Even as she heard herself Allison grimaced. Then she began to internally scold herself for not sounding more confident, or atleast not like a child.
"hmm? why?" He asked even as he handed over the Quill, completely oblivious of the girls internal struggles. As most young men his age.
"I'm not sure just bare with me."
Allison Began to draw. At first Renat wanted to reprimand her for drawing on his blue prints, but he didn't have it in him. Maybe she was trying to help. at worst he could just ignore those parts, but as he watched his eyes began to widen.
"That's..... You.....How?"
