In an effort to to right what was wrong with the world, The Fates could almost never agree. Some wanted to take drastic measures, others wanted to be the guiding hand, and yet others wanted to do nothing at all. In the midst of this debate there was one group that saw hope for the future, a future that lied in the hands of A Warrior Princess. The world would be saved not by the current empress, or her wayward son. but by Meriwen her headstrong daughter. Please read Empress of the world up too chapter 200 to understand the plot of this story. That novel is not by me much better writing and free. Check it out.
Some where beyond the ice barrier.~
"We must guide them. The Maker wouldn't want for them to continue to war against each other," Said a voice among The Fates.
"Well if you had let me speak with Aurora, and tell her what she must do, all this could have been avoided," came another voice.
"Your ways are to extreme. we must guide not give exact instruction," said another more masculine voice.
"Please stop both you. Let them destroy each other. When thier numbers have dwindled enough. Then and only then will they be humble enough. We could then guide or instruct as you both say," came a light feminine voice. Despite how angelic this voice sounded. It called for human blood shed.
As the arguments continued, one group of Fates looked on amongst thier peers. In thier hearts they believed that they had the solution. Out of the many futures there exsisted one, which led to over a few hundred years of peace. The reason they did not come forward was because of a certain rule amongst The Fates.
No future should be pushed toward unless it had a high probability of happening, with minimal intervention. If there were to many events that had to go right for the future to come to pass. Most fates except for the most extreme individuals would never vote for said action.
Thus Fate Roland and his compatriots didn't voice any of thier findings. After a group scrying session. they came to an agreement. That regardless of the out come of today's meeting. they would help the future they saw come to pass. Roland was very aware that this was a risky move. The punishment could be unimaginable if he were caught, but for the sake of humans. The Makers favorite. He had to do what was necessary.

"Roland," called Fate Darwin, a few hours after the meeting.
Roland stopped his advance and turned to Darwin as he approached him from behind.
"Let's speak somewhere private," Roland interrupted. Being fates they did not need to walk. They simply were one place one moment and where they wanted to be the next. It was as if the world moved and they stood still, but were put exactly where they wanted to be. A room alone.
"I've reviewed everything we need to happen," Darwin continued. "It is unfortunate that we have to lose such a fine human, but after countless scrying, the only way is if the princess loses him. It will spark a drive in her to hate war, and put a stop to those who cause it. Through her loss she will understand that war takes not just from both sides but even from those that are Innocent bystanders."
"His loss in unfortunate but, would be the least of all the troubles we have to face," replied Roland. " Even if we succeed. we must cause one sibling to usurp the other. This is no mean feat, Love for family stands in the way of peace and prosperity for all people. Even a famed murderer like Jack the butcher had a mother and sister who lives him dearly, but we must do what has to be done for the greater good."
Darwin Nodded, His mind drifting to the boy who was the catalyst to all of this mess. It was even a debate weather to allow him to be born, but it was said that it was the fates job to protect the royal family. thier were also futures where the boy did not turn out this way, but humans are full of mistakes.
The current empress failed to do her duties even after being warned. Now it was up to them to clean up her mistakes. All of it could have been avoided if The empress has simply believed the instructions given through the dream. To keep the boy away from the gnome.
Darwin had watched as the empress allowed the gnome to train the boy from young. Simply removing the gnome from the castle, would have made it so none of this this could happen, but humans are to caught up in decorum, or maybe The Empress herself didn't realize that she didn't believe in the dream of The Fates.
Now it could be said the life of the innocents had to be lost. If only they could see what he could. They would make much more sound decisions or maybe they would only find ways to make things worse.
As Darwin came out of his thoughts. Roland was already gone. In front of him were four rings floating soundlessly in the air. These rings represented the pact between the 5 fates who would protect the future. They Formed The Protect Meriwen Society.

Valiant.~
Fate Osiris looked at the ring on his finger. Then at the Young Man & Woman in front of him. They were oblivious to his presence. No human or anyone else could see a Fate that didn't want to be seen. Save for other Fates. Osiris watched as the girl convinced the young man to take a drink of water from the Mystic River.
Osiris was secretly impressed that they had come up with that solution to the boys addiction. Alas it was only a temporary solution unless they got more from the source they would never heal the boy just delay the inevitable.
Osiris observed as the boy fell to the ground as the water took effect. He had been here for a few days already. waiting for his opportunity to carry out his mission. He did not like his mission, but if one life would save millions, that was an acceptable loss. while every life is precious. One for the many was not a bad trend.
Osiris' watch continued. In these two or three days he observed as a despicable leprechaun placed a dragon egg inside the treasury. He even heard of Fate Hanna breaking the rules to send a message. He couldn't judge because he had every intention to break the rules as well. Thou Hanna was a gifted scryer she was hardly all knowing. While her future true could save valiant. From where PMS was standing. Her future was no less difficult to fulfil than thiers.
Everything was in place, all he had to do was observe and be aware till it was time for him to act. He watched as the empress tried to stall the dragons.
Osiris observed as Meriwen tried to use her necklace to find the dragons egg. He made sure to interfere.
"Maybe I wasn't meant to find it. said Mariwen.
After hearing her words he nodded. Ones fate was decided by the Fates. It was in thier name Most didn't understand as much.
After mariwen gave up on the egg. He watched as hanna interfered again with her fairy assistant. confirming to himself that what he was doing was indeed right. While he was glad that aurora was saved. This only confirmed his conviction to go through with the plan. Hanna's future had almost died with aurora.
Osiris watched even as Meriwen had compassion on the dragons who were only looking for thier child. 'she will make a good ruler.' he thought to himself. He also observe the way the princess observed the boy as he ran into shed. Osiris' sighed in discontent at what he was about to do. Even as he observed Renat and Meriwen he waved his hand. At first nothing obvious happened.
Then amongst the dragons one of them had thier attention was drawn by a subtle force to Meriwen on the ground. The dragon observed that the young human who did not seem to be running away. It huffed at the puny humans arrogance and thought to scare it a bit. It dove down swiftly and landed in a thud right next to her. Fully expecting a scream from his prey.
The young human did scream but only after a tiny explosion in a shack the humans live in. The dragon chuckled inwardly but before it could move further against the girl. A subtle pull made it remember it's queen's call to him. the egg needed to be found immediately. It stopped for a moment undecided at first.
Coming to a decsion it moved to quickly get rid of the human before it went on its business. Osiris was appalled that the dragon didn't listen. he was about to make a more drastic move when a little elf came to the rescue. He heaved a sigh of relief as he tensely watched as the princess was protected. He was about to leave when he saw something incredible. He couldn't believe his eyes.
The boy was still alive. Osiris quickly scried that last few minutes to see exactly how the boy survived and couldn't help but be impressed by his resourcefulness. He looked as the princess escaped fully believing the boy to be dead. He then contacted Roland to come through the ring to a consensus.
"Renat survived, but the princess thinks he is dead," spoke Osiris.
"Good, he need not die as long as the princess believes he is. We will handle the rest later. Get out of there before your changes cause us to be noticed. We just have to make sure that he either never recovers, or leaves the palace never to return. Either one can be accomplished with some work. I will let Sophia handle that part.
