Chapter 69

[Violet's POV]

My eyes fluttered open at the sound of something crashing to the floor. Groaning, I stretched my arms, peeking at what had disturbed my precious sleep. I almost jumped off the bed when I noticed Icarus, shaking in fury, as he kicked down a cabinet, causing it's glass window to shatter on the floor.

The rustling of sheets must have caught his attention, as his neck immediately snapped in my direction, making me catch my breath while he silently glared at me.

Did I do something?

Well, last night was weird, but it's hardly something I should be killed over, in the morning.

"You....," He hissed, before closing his eyes, and taking a deep breath as if controlling himself from acting on his anger. His hands were clenched so tightly, they had turned almost white, while his chest rose rapidly in short and fast breaths. My hand unconsciously held the gun from the outside of my shirt, as I watched Icarus pick up a small wooden stool and smash it on the glass table.
