Zapdos' Rampage

Dark clouds surged in the sky as the winds blew wildly. Flashes of lightning can be seen in the clouds, as if waiting to strike something on the ground the moment Zapdos commands it.

"Zapdos!"

A thunderous roar echoed on the entirety of Cerulean forest, scaring the surrounding wild pokemon away. A pokemon tide, even wilder than the one on Viridian Forest was caused by Zapdos this time.

The Dojo members, Team Rocket grunts, Police officers, and the regular trainers were stunned with their faces pale as they looked at the enormous thunderbird in the sky.

"No way"

"I can't believe it. It's Zapdos!"

"Amazing"

"It's amazing but aren't we in danger?"

"Let's get out of here!"

"But we're trapped, how are we supposed to get out?"

"I hope that the surrounding barrier can protect us"

Dojo members, grunts, police officers, and trainers alike informally discussed among themselves on how to deal with the Legendary pokemon, Zapdos in front of them.

Even Team Rocket and the Police officers who were supposed to be enemies were forced to drop their swords and listened to each other's opinions. After all, Zapdos was a much greater threat.

It was at this moment that Zapdos opened its mouth and let out an ear-splitting cry. Its eyes were bloodshot

"Zapdos!"

Rainwater fell from the dark clouds in the sky as the winds raged, along with leaves, rock, and all sorts of objects, combined with flashes of lightning. However, everything around the camp seemed to be protected by the barrier.

The invisible barrier that was supposed to trap them was now ironically served to protect them from Zapdos' rampage.

"Zapdos!"

Once more, Zapdos let out an ear-splitting cry and let loose a flare of electricity that struck everything around it.

The surrounding trees were fried black while some blazed with fire. However, they were immediately washed away by the downpour of the rain.

The invisible barrier blocked the flare of electricity emitted by Zapdos as it shook. The hearts of the people inside the barrier began to race as fear filled their minds. Fortunately, it stood strong, to the crowds' relief.

Unfortunately, this didn't last long as Zapdos once again let out an ear-splitting cry.

A wicked thunderbolt that came from the thunderclouds dropped down on the barrier.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Visible cracks started appearing on the invisible barrier as it shook.

However, this wasn't the end.

Zapdos opened its mouth wide open as it charged electric type energy and fired an electric blast, like a cannon on the invisible barrier.

Finally, the invisible barrier broke like glass as the downpour of rain engulfed the area around the camp, followed by the raging winds and lightning.

The Dojo members, Team Rocket grunts, Police officers began to panic, like headless chickens as chaos engulfed the crowds.

Tents and all sorts of objects were flying around like kites as chaos intensified.

"We're doomed!"

"To each their own!"

"Out of the way!"

"Calm down everybody!" Officer Jenny yelled, trying to calm the people down. However, her efforts were destined to be fruitless as the trainers appeared to have ignored her shouts.

"It's useless. We might as well try to escape and hope that many of us survive" Koichi said as he gently patted Officer Jenny's shoulder.

Jenny's eyes took a look at the chaos around her and sighed before she nodded.

...

Meanwhile, somewhere nearby, a man in black uniform stood under the cover of the tree. The raging winds and lightning didn't appear to have inconvenienced him but his brows were knitted.

"Damn, how could this happen?" Landrick cursed as he let out a punch on the tree.

'Everything should have gone according to plan. Where did I go wrong?' Landrick thought to himself as his eyebrows creased.

He scrutinized the enormous figure in the skies as fear engulfed his heart before it was replaced by anger and unwillingness.

He surmised that it should have been injured and weak but looking at the raging figure in the sky, it was far from weak.

He looked closely at the figure and noticed a streak of blood on its wings. His eyes brightened as his lips curled up to a lopsided grin.

"So that's the case" Landrick muttered with a low voice as his grin widened.

'But why is it berserking?' Landrick thought to himself as he held his chin.

...

At this time, Folker, Chelsea, and Farlan hid in a nearby bush amidst the chaos around them.

"What should we do?" Chelsea said as her expression showed a worried look.

"I don't know. I don't think we can do anything to help. I mean, just look at that. How are we supposed to help it" Farlan replied.

Folker and Chelsea turned to look at Zapdos' rampage as they shuddered with fear.

"There's nothing we can do." Chelsea said with a sad look on her face.

Farlan looked at Chelsea with a meaningful look before his lips showed a faint smile.

'She's really kind.' Farlan thought to himself.

"Maybe, I can try to communicate with it through Aura." Folker said as his forehead creased.

"Can you do it amidst the chaos?" Farlan said as he darted him a look.

"I can try. Even if I can't, Luca can surely do it" Folker said as his eyes blazed with determination.

"Alright. We'll guard you" Farlan said as he patted his shoulder, to which Folker nodded.

Folker then called Lucario out from its pokeball. Earlier, he recalled Lucario to its pokeball because of the chaos.

Lucario appeared in front of Folker and nodded even without Folker saying anything.

The two of them sat on the ground with bushes covering their bodies as their eyes closed. Their minds cleared, trying to dive deep into meditation and harness the power of aura to communicate with Zapdos.

Lucario was able to talk with Zapdos through telepathy but at the moment, all it can hear is Zapdos' madness.

Lucario wanted to dive deeper, and find the voice asking for help.

Folker surmised that the voice he heard earlier was truly Zapdos and that it was asking him for help. Folker wanted to communicate with the inner Zapdos, the calm one, not the outer madness.
