Cerulean City Gym Leader

"Alright Daisy, if you don't wanna battle him, I will!" Misty said with a firm look on her face.

'As far as I can remember, she's the fourth sister of the Sensational sisters.. so I guess she counts as a Gym trainer.. or leader?' Folker thought to himself as he rubbed his chin.

"I'm a Cerulean city Gym trainer too. I'm the fourth Sensational sister" Misty confidently said.

"There are only three sensational sisters and one runt" Lily retorted. Misty then looked at Lily as she grit her teeth.

"So.. Little sister, it's a surprise to see you back so soon" Daisy said as she looked at Misty's figure.

"That girl with a big mouth who said she wouldn't come back 'til she was a great pokemon trainer. Wasn't that you" Violet as her eyes narrowed.

"Huh? I.. guess I did say something like that when I left" Misty replied with a low voice as she looked down on the platform.

"Misty, you left here pretending you want to become a pokemon trainer because you couldn't compare with us" Lily said with arrogance and added "Because we're obviously much more talented and beautiful than you are".

"Uh-oh" Folker muttered as he continued watching the show.

"That wasn't the reason!" Misty shouted in response.

"Well then.. I guess like you came back because you couldn't make it as a pokemon trainer" Lily guessed as she lightly scratched her face.

"It wasn't my idea to come back here! The only reason I came back here is because he came here" Misty replied as she pointed at Folker's figure.

Folker was taken aback by Misty's words as he raised his eyebrows.

Daisy looked at Folker's figure as she sized him up and said "Well... He's totally someone I'd choose for my boyfriend. You have a good taste".

"My Boyfriend!? If I battle him that would prove that I'm not a quitter and that I'm just as good a trainer as you three" Misty replied, trying to prove herself. She then looked at Folker's handsome figure and slowly considered the idea of actually having him as a boyfriend.

After a while, she shook her head and thought 'He's really just too young for me'

"Well, you're the only one among us with pokemon left that can actually battle" Daisy replied as she smiled bitterly.

"Alright, Folker. Are you ready to rumble?" Misty said as she approached Folker's figure with an intimidating gaze.

"Ahhhhh..." Folker just scratched his head and eventually nodded.

"We will now begin the battle between acting Gym Leader Misty vs Folker from Vermilion City. Each trainer will use two pokemon. Only the challenger will be allowed to make substitutions. Begin!" The referee announced the start of the battle.

"Magnemite, I choose you" Folker said as he called out Magnemite out of its pokeball. Magnemite appeared as it levitated above the platform.

"Magnemite"

"Well, in that case, Misty calls.. Starmie!" Misty said as she called out her pokemon.

Starmie appeared as it stood on the platform with its back starfish rotating clockwise.

"Starmie!"

'Leave it to a girl to show off her jewelry' Folker thought to himself as he looked at Starmie's figure.

"Do you think Misty could really win?" Violet asked with a somewhat worried expression on her face.

"Like.. in your dreams, maybe" Lily replied as she folded her arms.

"Let's start it with [Thundershock]!" Folker said as he raised his fist. Magnemite then hurled a jolt of electricity towards Starmie.

"Intercept it with [Water Gun]!" Misty said as she swiped her left hand to the right. Starmie then blasted a forceful shot of water towards the jolt of electricity and canceled it out. Starmie then jumped into the pool as it floated on the pool.

"[Thundershock] again! But this time, aim it at the pool!" Folker shouted as he pointed at the pool. Magnemite then hurled a [Thundershock] on the pool but Magnemite intercepted it with another [Water Gun].

'This is troublesome. She's formidable alright' Folker thought to himself as he smiled bitterly. Despite the type advantage against Starmie, Misty beautifully countered his plans.

"In that case, use [Magnet Rise]!" Folker said as he raised his right fist. Magnemite then levitated higher.

"Use [Psychic] to bring it down!" Misty said with a grin on her face. Starmie then channeled Psychic type energy and attacked Magnemite with a strong telekinetic force and used it to bring it down on the pool.

Magnemite was almost drowned but it was able to levitate towards the platform. Folker then heaved a sigh of relief as he looked at Magnemite's figure.

Meanwhile, Seel just clapped on the sidelines as it watched the battle between Misty and Folker.

"Which side are you clapping for?" Violet said as she looked at Seel with an annoyed expression.

"Magnet, use [Thunderwave]!" Folker said with a frown on his face as he raised his fist forward. Magnemite then launched a weak jolt of electricity towards Starmie's figure.

"[Rapid Spin]!" Misty responded. Starmie then rotated its starfish clockwise while its main body rotated counter-clockwise as it negated the effects of [Thunderwave].

"[Thundershock] on the pool, now!" Folker hurriedly said as he swiped his right hand to the right.

"Don't stop spinning and jump on the platform!" Misty hurriedly responded. Starmie then jumped onto the platform, just right before Magnemite hit the pool with [Thundershock].

"Misty's totally awesome" Daisy couldn't help but praise Misty for her wits and responses. Misty was doing good so far despite the type disadvantage.

In addition, although Starmie benefited from the pool battlefield as a water type pokemon, Magnemite's electric typing also gains some sort of advantage as an electric type pokemon. After all, it's common knowledge that water conducts electricity.

"Well, we bring up the good looks in the family so I guess she had to get some talent" Lily didn't hold back her praises either.

The Sensational sisters looked at Misty's figure with a smile. Although they may appear to be a little bit antagonistic towards Misty, she was still their youngest sister.
