Laila POV: -

Reaching to my home I suddenly stop as I haven't really notified grandpa that I will be arriving today and prepared myself for an ear full of nagging from him, thinking about it I knocked the door slowly. After that I hear Pokémon noises from the house and an elderly man opens the door with a few Pokémon behind him. The Pokémon behind him were very excited for some reason.

Grandpa POV: -

Today was a nice day because for some reason I was lively and happy so woke up without a problem and started preparing myself for today's work.

First, I freshened up myself and went to the kitchen for some light breakfast and ate some berries. Then I went to the backyard where my grand-daughter's Pokémon were resting. As soon as I reach the area, I started to hear the Pokémon sounds indicating that they were awake. I truly love these Pokémon as they made my life easier and helped me whenever needed. Then I started to fill the Pokémon food in their areas so that they can eat their breakfast, and suddenly a few young Pokémon started to surround me.

I smiled at them and started playing with the Pokémon and even a few older one's came near me so the young one's don't get hurt while playing.

The day passed like that and I started to remember my Grand-daughter Laila and let out a sad sigh not knowing when she returns.

"siiiiiiiiiiiiigggghhhhhh...."

I remembered, since the start of her journey even though she called me many times she never came back to home. She sent her Pokémon here as an apology so that I won't be lonely, but she never came. The last time she called was a few weeks ago, and from then on, no other calls came. Sometimes she won't even call me for months, I really don't know what to do with this hard minded individual.

As I was reminiscing about her suddenly a knocking sound came from the front door. Puzzled who is it at this time of the day I started walking towards the door and all the Pokémon were following behind me excitedly, I was confused by their behavior. And when I reached the door and opened it to see who it was? And I was paralyzed and stood there with tears suddenly coming out of my eyes like a waterfall.

And uttered the name of the person I always long to see for the last few years.

"Little Lai ...!!! ".

Laila POV: -

Looking at the person who raised me since I was small just standing there and sobbing, I too started to cry a few tears from my already moist eyes and said weakly.

"Grandpa I am back home."

Then while still crying he slowly came forward rubbed the tears of my face and says

"Silly child, don't cry so it took you six years to find your way back home!"

while he slowly hugs me.

I let out a small smile at hearing that small joke. Then immediately a small army of Pokémon suddenly assault me to the ground and start to lick my face and tickle me. I grunt in pain as few of the Pokémon start to bite me.

"Ouch...that hurts, *sigh*.... good to see all of you guys too, I missed you all very much. Were you all giving hard time to grandpa?" I start to question them.

Seeing me like this grandpa lets out a hearty laugh.

"Ha ha ha aha ha ha ha.... Okay now slow down, everyone go inside and enjoy."

To my and grandpa's commands my Pokémon replies came quickly.

"Sneaseeeeeel." Sneasel says while grinning.

"Houndooooom." Houndoom howls a reply.

" Shiftryyyyyyyyyy" Shiftry disappears with a 'shh' sound.

"Krooooooooooooooooow "My Honchkrow sang.

"Scraaaaaaaaaaaaaaafty" Yells my Scrafty.

" Leipaaaaaaaaaaard" My Leipard roars along with another Pokémon.

"Zweeeeeeeeeiiii" My Zweilous also roars in between.

"buzzzz mandibuz" My Mandibuzz flew and lands on my head while I start walking.

And many of my other Pokémon cries also comes back to me and grandpa. As I stop and see all my Pokémon and my grandpa, I start to realize I wasn't alone, and I have all of them with me from the beginning and start to smile happily. I swore in my mind to protect them forever. Because this is and will be my "FAMILY" and I say again which only I can hear with a smile on me.

"I'm home...."
