After finishing her work back at League center, she immediately rushed to home or at least what she wants to call it as she lived there for 14 years. Her home Maiden's Peak is a town located near Saffron City. The town is known for its haunting legend and its festival which is held at the end of every summer.

Two thousand years ago, a war was taking place and soldiers were being shipped overseas from Kanto to the battlefield. A maiden was in love with one of the soldiers who was sent to war, and she swore to wait on the cliff until her love returned, but he never did. According to legend, she died while standing there, and her body became a part of the cliff itself.

Her petrified body became a monument, and the location was named for the legend. Her spirit still haunts the area with the help of a clever, talking Gastly, who preserves her legend every year during the Summer Festival by haunting the peak.

In present times, a festival is held there at the end of the summer. Visitors honor the statue of the maiden, and at the end of the festival, people will release small boats with paper lanterns into the water. These boats are meant to help spirits find their way home, in hopes that the spirit of the maiden's lover will one day be returned to her.

It took her 2 days to reach home and was excited to see her grandpa again after a long time. The reason is that when she was 14, she started her Pokémon journey not officially for the championship but her own journey. So, she did not get her starter from Prof.Samuel Oak, like everyone else. But she is not a person to be underestimated, because with her main team she can fight head to head with most elite four of any regions. Now that she was back to Maiden's peak, she is excited to meet everyone.

Laila POV: -

Now looking at the familiar surroundings I grew up in, Laila felt emotional, so I take a deep breath of the surrounding scent and release a content sigh.

"Haaaaaaa....I'm back."

'First I need to go to the Pokémon Center and let my Pokémon get their checkup.' thinking that I start to walk towards the Poke center and enter it.

"Welcome to the Pokémon Center." said Nurse Joy, and her Pokémon sings. "Chansey!!! chansey."

But after seeing me, Nurse Joy let a surprised gasp by covering her mouth with her hand and said.

" Little Lai is that you.!!!!!!!"

After that she runs up to me and gave me huge hug like an Ursaring almost crushing me in the process, and Chansey helping me and Nurse Joy to not fall on the ground.

" Arg....! Nurse Joy happy to see you too.", I said with a smile, holding her in my arms and looked at Joy's Pokémon I said.

" And good to see you to Chansey...". To which she shows me her signature heart healing smile.

"Nurse Joy I'm here for my Pokémon checkup and to tell you some news."

"Oh, news from you, that's rare. Okay give me 10 minutes I'll check your Pokémon and come to you." Said Nurse Joy.

I nod at her and Chansey while going to the resting area to sit and wait for her. It did not take her long, she came back in 10 minutes like she said she would, but this time with her Chansey came pushing a cart with her in which six pokeballs are placed neatly in two rows. Giving them to me she starts to speak.

"First here are your Pokémon balls, they are fully recovered. Now tell me what's the news you are going to tell me?"

"Thanks. Well you know what my dream is about right?" I ask her while keeping my pokeballs in my custom-made poke belt one by one.

"Yes of course I know about it. You always talk about it when you were here with me, So what about it?" She asked me again with a clueless face.

Facepalming myself at her innocent face I tell her.

"Well the League approved my application for establishing a new gym in the town with my name on it. Now our town has its own gym tadaaaaa!!!!".

I say it with excitement written on my face shaking my hands in celebrating manner to her. And suddenly a surprised yell comes out of her.

"WHAT!!!!! in THE NAME OF ARCEUS DID YOU SAY!!!!!?" She shouts in my face with spit everywhere and started shaking by giving me strong vice grip on both my shoulders like a Scizor.

Realizing her mistake, she became flustered and took a napkin and gave it to me and says.

"Sorry...! my bad this is just too much of a shock to me. "

*Sighing* I take the napkin and start stretching my arms to reduce the pain. But I understood her shock since I too was like her when the news hit me.

"It's okay I was like you when I first heard the news too."

"I came here to tell you this since we will be working together from now on, and a town's Gym and Pokémon Center are always interconnected and linked to each other."

"Now I have a lot of work to do and I still need to visit grandpa. So, bye for now Nurse Joy let's meet again at another time. " I said while exiting the Pokémon Center.

Nurse Joy POV: -

"Okay bye little Lia...haaaa how she has grown up? Now she is no longer a little girl we need to take care off, right Chansey?" asked Nurse Joy to her Pokémon while sighing.

"Chansey...." A reply comes from her back where chansey was nodding her round head many times with a serious face.

"Okay now let's get back to work now and start resupplying our healing medicine since we are going to need it in near future. " Said Nurse Joy and starts planning for the future of the Pokémon sent here from the gym. And Chansey replies.

"Chansey!!!!!!"

Laila POV: -

After exiting the Pokémon Center I headed straight to grandpa's home , which is located near the forest .Since grandpa likes to live a quiet and peaceful life we built a house near the forest having large open land for my Pokémon to roam freely.
