Chapter 36

Evan and his friends finally arrived at Rustboro city at noon,They decided to head to Evan's house to stay for the night before the Rustboro Pokémon contest.

"Dad, I am back home! " Evan shouted right after they came back back.

"Oh Evan welcome home,How was your trip!"

Joseph Stone asked his youngest son emotionally.

"It was great Dad, I already got all the gym badges and I came back to take part in tomorrow's Rustboro Conference" Evan responded politely.

"So Ash, May, Max and Brock long time no see, thank you for taking care of Evan during his trip" Joseph said with a smile.

"It was nothing in fact Evan is the one who took care of us" May responded as the others nodded.

"Everyone just returned, you all must be tired go and take a shower,let's have a dinner together after you wash up" Joseph told everyone with a smile.

"Wow Evan your house is really big" Max exclaimed as Evan was leading to a guest room.

"Well thank you, here you can choose anyroom you want, come to a dinning room after washing up" Evan led everyone to a guest room where there was several rooms.

"Alright" Ash and the others nodded.

After taking a shower everyone came down stairs to a dining room, after having dinner they had alot of chat about their adventure with Joseph.

As For Steven he is said to be somewhere in a cave with Wallace digging stones.

After having a hearty chat until mid night, everyone went to sleep.

The next morning, Evan and the others went to a venue where Pokémon contest were being held, unexpected Joseph decided to accompany them as to spend his time enjoying with Max and others as well as enjoy Evan's performance.

Just as they arrived at the venue, the two figure walked towards us a male and a female coordinator.

"Oh Janette and Chaz, long time no see" May, Max, Brock and Ash greeted.

"Yes long time no see Ash, May, Max and Brock, and... " The two figure called Janette and Chaz greeted Ash and the others and stared at Evan.

"Oh hello I am Evan travelling with Ash, May, Max and Brock, and this is my father, the president of Devon corporation." Evan introduced themselves.

"Oh yes nice to meet you! " Janette and Chaz greeted them.

"Oh yes May are you participating in the Pokémon contest ?" Janette asked May.

"No, I'm here to cheer for Evan today, I've already obtained enough ribbons to participate in the Grand festival" May responded.

"That's amazing May, you've already got your 5th ribbon" Janette said with a smile.

"What what you Janette and Chaz" May asked.

"We've also already collected 5 ribbons and we are here to watch the contest" Jannete and Chaz responded as they showed their Ribbons.

After talking for a while adding Janette and Chaz, Evan and his friends entered the venue.

Ash, May, Max, Brock,Joseph, Janette and Chaz also went to the auditorium and took their seat.

After waiting for a while the Rustboro Pokémon contest officially started.

"Ladies and gentlemen your patience has come to an end the Rustboro Pokémon contest will now finally begin! This conference will be the last Gorgeous Pokémon contest before the Grand festival" Vivian held the microphone and announced the opening of the contest as she introduced to the judges.

In the lounge, Evan was waiting for his turn, there wasn't many rivals who were worthy like Robert and Drew in the competition.

Soon it was Evan's performance, Evan used sceptile and with a trick of energy ball,smashed with leaf blade they created a sparkling stage. As Evan advanced from a first round Evan easily defeated other coordinators in a battle winning his 5th ribbon with almost no effort.

After Pokémon contest ended they spent their time by strolling in the city.

With Joseph's persuasion Evan and his friends decided to stay for one more night before continuing their journey.

The next morning,Evan and his friends woke up early in order to head towards Slateport city.

After saying goodbye to Joseph Stone, Evan and his friends are continuing their journey in the direction of Slateport city with the aim of Grand festival.

Today they came to a beautiful Island, after travelling they enjoyed their lunch leisurely.

After a meal,

"Okay I'm full Pikachu!, Snorunt let's go practice practice your ice beam! " Ash out down his bowl and stood up.

"Ash you're fast!" May was shoked.

"Okay we can't loose, let's practice too" May said as she stuffed the food in the bowl in one gulp and said to her Pokémon.

"Okay I'm full" After packing up the dishes, Evan took his Pokémon for a training too.

As soon as Evan entered the forests to train, Evan saw a chubby orange haired boy in a suit crashing into a tree.

"Hey are you alright... " Evan asked curiously as he stepped forward, poking the boy's tummy.

"Yes.. I'm fine but I want my sandwich back. . "

Chubby boy shouted in a daze.

"Your sandwich...? " Evan turned his head and saw May's Munchlax appearing behind Ash, holding a huge sandwich that was bigger than a normal pillow.

In the terrified expression of chubby boy, Munchlax swallowed the huge sandwich into it's stomach.

"My sandwich!! " Seeing the howling of the boy, Evan reluctantly took out an energy cube and stuffed it into his mouth and then he stopped howling.

"Ahh it's good... Is there more?" The boy asked as he chewed.

Looking at the boy Sylveon who was beside him quickly swallowed her energy cube.

"I'm sorry it's my Munchlax who ate your sandwich" May came forward and apologized with a bow.

"Forget it, don't worry about the sandwich. Hi My name is Morrison and I'm training in order to win the Ever Grande Conference" The boy named Morrison introduced himself.

After introducing themselves, Ash and Morrison were acting childish, competing for every single thing.

Looking at the two person arguing with each other Evan shrugged helplessly.

Later Ash and Morrison decided to battle, Morrison used his beldum and Ash used his partner Pikachu. After the fight they went to a Pokémon center for a treatment.

In this way Ash and Evan met one of their rivals who will be competiting in Ever grande conference.
