Chapter 24

After Ash regained his health, he challenged Winona, successfully defeated her and won his sixth badge.

As Evan and his friends were going towards Mosdeep city for their seventh badge, they decided to participate in a gorgeous pokémon contest which was being held in Lilycove city.

Originally they were passing through Lilycove city to Mosdeep city however May saw a poster advertising an upcoming gorgeous pokémon contest scheduled to be held in the city the next day.

After that, the group decided to go grab something to eat to satisfy Ash's hunger, and following May's suggestion, they headed to a restaurant that serves omelets. However, on their way there, Pikachu wandered off, leading them to a Berry market where they met a girl by the name of Kelly and her Grumpig. Kelly revealed that she was planning to enter the Lilycove Contest and she and May bonded over their mutual interest in Pokémon Contests. Kelly then invited May and the others to her home, which is attached to a Pokéblock shop that her mother runs.

When they arrived there, Evan and his friends had lunch. Soon after, Evan and Ash decided to go out and train for the challenge awaiting then at the Mossdeep Gym. Ash was determined to teach Swellow the move Aerial Ace and Evan decided to teach Gallade Aura Sphere,Max accompanied them. During Evan and Ash's training session, an old man known as Vladimir the Attacker approached Ash and Evan offering to help,Ash accepted but Evan declined since Evan has Aura power he is the only one who can teach Gallade an Aura Sphere. Meanwhile, at the shop, May and Brock were learning how to use the Berry Blender to produce Pokéblocks after Evan's suggestion that as a Coordinator May should learn how to produce Pokéblocks.

Later, Team Rocket appeared and tried to steal Kelly's Grumpig. However, May and her Pokémon managed to rescue the Manipulate Pokémon before sending Jessie, James, and Meowth blasting off again.

The following day at the Contest Hall, Vivian Meridian opened the Lilycove Contest, welcoming the audience and introducing the three distinguished judges: the Chief of the Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Contesta; the President of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Sukizo; and the operator of the local Pokémon Center, Nurse Joy.

Then the first round began and Vivian then asked contestant no. 1 on stage, "let's welcome our first contestant, May! "

May came onto the stage and sent out her Combusken, who despite making a good first impression with its entrance, used Fire Spin that went out of control, risking May's safety. However, as soon as May was about to get hit her Combusken blocked it with the help of sky uppercut creating a beautiful view, May was unharmed and Combusken was able to turn the tables and end the performance nicely but scored only a points of 23.6.

After that, Kelly took the stage and sent out her Grumpig. She proceeded to throw some Pokéblocks, which Grumpig easily manipulated with its Psychic attack scoring a points of 27.7.

Then on Jessie's turn, she earns a perfect score of 30 thanks to Chimecho's Astonish.

Evan also registered for the contest just in case, he thought he wouldn't be able to participate but Gallade successfully learned Aura Sphere and they got in time for their performance.

As Jessie's performance ended, Evan took the stage "Gallade come out, let's shine" "Gallade~"

"Gallade use double team and then Aura sphere" Gallade followed Evan's orders and used Double team creating several Aura sphere up on the air "Now Gallade quick use signal beam" As Evan instructed Gallade used signal beam towards the Aura sphere creating a beautiful fireworks, Evan and Gallade scored a score of 30 points as well.

Soon Vivian announced the result of the participants who successfully advanced to top 8.Evan, May, Kelly and Jessie successfully entered top 8.

In the second round Evan, May, Kelly and Jessie didn't even sweat and won easily advancing to semi finals.

At the Semi finals, May met Jessie, And Evan met Kelly. There May defeated Jessie advancing to finals successfully.

In the battle between Kelly and Evan, Kelly's Grumpic could only use iron tail and psychic, and so Evan's Gallade defeated Kelly easily.

In the finals,"Combusken use fire spin" May gave out it's order.

"Gallade use psychic to sent it back" "Gallade~" Suddenly fire spin turn around and hit Combusken and May lost the points.

"Combusken sky uppercut"

"Gallade counter with close combat" Evan knew that he already won so he was strolling time by doing hand to hand combat, and finally times up.

With this Evan successfully won his fourth Ribbon medal, and just needed one more in order to participate in the Grand Festival.

The next day early in the morning, everyone was still sleeping, and Evan received a call.

"Hello, it's me Evan, Steven" Steven's voice came from the phone.

"Yes, what's the matter brother?, Is something wrong?" Evan asked helplessly.

"Yes, something big has happened. Father said that the shipyard in the Slateport city so I was tracing their track and found their base in the Lilycove city Bay. " Steven said.

"Alright, I'll join you I'm currently at Lilycove city" Evan decided to accompany his brother, Steven and left a message for Ash and the others on the letter.

After arriving at the location Steven sent, Evan saw Lance.

"Evan this is Lance" Steven introduced Lance to him and Evan nodded.

"Okay lets get to work" Steven said "According to my information Groudon has fallen into the hands of Team Aqua and Team Magma wants to take away Kyogre in the cave of the sea near Lilycove city" Steven said with a headache "so we currently have two problems first to stop Team Magma and second,to prevent the elites of their organization from getting their hands into Red orb and Blue orb."

"In that case we better spread out" Evan said clearly.

"Then I'll stop the elite members from getting the orbs" Lance took over the task of protecting the orbs.

"In that case, Evan and I will break into the base of Team Magma to stop them from getting their hands on Kyogre" Steven nodded.

"I'll leave first" Riding on a dragonite, Lance left quickly.

"Then, it's our turn, are you ready Evan it might get dangerous! " Steven said as he looked at Evan.

I released Salamence and hopped onto it then smiled at Steven " Let's compete who's faster brother!"

Steven also released his Skarmory and ride on it "alright let's go! "

With a sound of departure, the siblings flew onto the sky quickly, and then flew towards the direction where Steven said to be found about the information on Team magma's base.

At the base of Team Magma, a girl with cherry pink hair was tied up and thrown into the warehouse. He was extremely dissatisfied with the girl who was protesting against him.

Suddenly,alarm bells rang out inside the base,

causing chaos for a while.

"Boss someone has broke into the base and the guards outside have been eliminated." The fat scientists reported about the intruder.

"Gallade use psycho cut" Evan gave an order splitting the steel gate in half and then quickly ran towards the inside through the entrance.

"Meteor smash" Steven's Metagross were also supressing everything with one punch whether it be human or pokémon.

"Hehe... So it's the brothers" Maxie chuckled lightly, "unfortunately it's too late! "

"The third district have been broken through, and they will be able to reach the fifth district soon", the fat scientists shouted anxiously.

"Board!! " Maxie no longer hesitated and took the lead to walk towards the submarine.

Amidst the huge explosions and flames , Evan walked in slightly panting with salamence and Gallade.

Unfortunately Team Magma escaped and their raid became a waste of time.

After all the mess, Evan and Steven soak themselves in the hot spring.

After taking a good rest with Steven at the hot spring hotel, the next day they received a news that Ash and others seems to have met Team Magma accidentally.
