The next destination of Evan and his pokemon is Lavaridge town.

Lavaridge town is well known for its hot spring and Evan is heading to Lavaridge town town in order to get his fourth badge, heat badge.

While Evan and Sylveon were heading towards the Lavaridge town they came across a injured Combusken.

Favourability : N/A (since it's wild)

Skills : Ember, growl, quick attack, scratch, flame charge, detect, sand attack,agility, aeriel ace, slash, bounce, flame thrower, fire punch,double kick, feather dance, sky uppercut ]

Seeing the injured Combusken, Evan immediate bought high quality medicine from the system pokemon item shop.

While taking care of Combusken, Evan decided to train Milotic to a certain level as there were a number slugma surrounded a whole place.

"Come out milotic, clear up those slugmas it'll be your experience pact", Evan smiled evily.

" Mmm~~" Milotic nodded showing that she understood.

While milotic was training with wild slugmas Combusken finally woke up.

"Are you alright" Asked Evan.

Combusken was very wary of Evan.

"It's okay, I won't harm you" After reassuring Combusken, Evan gave him his luxurious pokeblocks. And Combusken ate it happily.

"How did you got injured? " Evan asked.

"Com~~buskennn~"

Evan understood what Combusken meant apparently he was training alone away from his family when suddenly he got caught by some poachers and he was barely able to escape from the poachers.

"Then Combusken, would like to go on a journey with me, I'm currently training with my pokemons to become strong together." Seeing Combusken thinking seriously Evan smiled.

"Let me introduce you to my pokemons,come out Salamence, This is Salamence my first pokemon."

"Roaarr~"

"And you've already met Sylveon and milotic, I would be happy if you could join my team"

"Veon~syl~sylveonnn~" "Mmmmmm~~" "Roarrrrr"

"See even my pokemons said they would be glad if you could join us"

"Busken~com~combusken~"

"So you want to fight before I catch you, Alright let's go milotic, let's show combusken how strong we are"

"Mmmmmm~~"

After a conquering battle Combusken successfully became Evan's fourth pokemon.

"Okay guys let's make a plan, who'll take part in the Lavaridge gym"

"Sylveonn~" "Mmmm~~" "Roarr~" "Combussskenn~"

"Sorry Salamence but currently I can't find a good opponent for you so you'll be excluded, and since Lavaridge is a gym based on fire attribute and Combusken also needs experience to fighting a gym let's go with Combusken and Milotic,as for a backup Sylveon will do"

"Roarr~~" Salamence roared showing that he understand.

"Thank you for your understanding buddy, I promise I'll let you battle in the next gym match."

Finally after walking through all the mountains, Evan and his pokemons arrived at Pokemon center to check in his pokemons, and then he went to enjoy the hot spring, obviously you must enjoy the hot spring since that's what Lavaridge town is known for.

After taking a warm bath Evan went to get a good sleep.

The next morning Evan went to get back his pokemons first and had breakfast with his pokemons and decided to head out to the gym.

Soon, Evan and Sylveon by his side arrived at the Lavaridge gym.

Evan opened the door and shouted "Hello anyone there, I am Evan from Rustboro city, and I'm here for a gym challenge."

Immediately a girl with a red hair came out, "Great, finally a challenger has come!,I'm Flannery, the gym leader of Lavaridge gym" Flannery jumped in front of Evan and said excitedly "I've been looking forward to the challenger coming", Flannery shook her hands as she was saying.

After greetings and introductions Flannery and Evan finally came to the battle arena.

"Now the 3v3 gym challenge between the gym leader, Flannery and Evan from Rustboro city will begin.The gym leader cannot replace the pokemon only the challenger may do. Let the match begin." The referee announced.

"Slugma, come out" , Flannery sent out her pokemon first.

"Then Combusken come out for your first gym battle" "Combuskennn~" Combusken looked at the slugma with fighting intent.

Level : Early Gym

Qualification : Elite]

"Combusken let's attack first! start with flame thrower"

"Combuskennnn~" Combusken sprayed flames to attack slugma.

"Slugma dodge" Unfortunately slugma was slow and got hit by the flame thrower.

And just when Evan was about order his next move slugma emitted a white light and a huge shell formed on its back, Magcargo appeared.

Level : Early Elite

Qualification : Elite ]

"It evolved, great" Flannery cheered "okay let's go magcargo, flame thrower."

"Combusken dodge" Combusken easily avoided the flame thrower. Although magcargo evolved it became even slower.

"Now Combusken, sky uppercut" Sky uppercut directly hit the magcargo.

"Magcargo is unable to battle,Combusken wins."

Flannery composed herself and sent out another slugma "come on, Slugma."

Level : Late Gym

Qualification: Elite ]

To Evan's surprise it's level was lower that magcargo.

"Slugma, ancient power"

"Combusken dodge it with agility,and use flame charge" After dodging ancient power, slugma couldn't escape the close range and directly took the flame charge.

"End it with sky uppercut" "comm~buskennn~"

Sky uppercut directly hit slugma and loses its ability to fight!
