Kanto

Red's Mewtwo flew next to the younger Mewtwo slowly so as not to make him more agitated then he was. The young one reminded him of himself when he first met Red, he was also at one point filled with a lot of anger and hate. He understood somewhat how the young Pokemon was feeling however he would battle him if it turned out to be necessary. Red watched as his friend went to the younger Mewtwo and started to talk to him, he half wondered if they could get away without having a battle.

Red's eyes widened as his Mewtwo was attacked, 'Spoke too soon.'

Red's Mewtwo, -Hello little brother, I'm Mewtwo, the first one that was created by my parents Dr Fugi and his wife Dr Crescent-

Mewtwo looked at him still angry, -Why are you with a human? Have you already forgotten the pain humans put us through?-

Red's Mewtwo, -Team Rocket did, yes, I will not deny that.... However we were not originally created to be weapons or to be hurt and experimented on. My parents just wanted their child back, that was why we are created before Team Rocket found out and killed them.-

Mewtwo who was already angry became furious and attacked Red's Mewtwo with a shadow ball, -You lie!-

Red's Mewtwo dodged the shadow ball, -No I'm not.... You know it quiet well I'm not.-

Mewtwo snarled using more shadow balls, -I don't believe you, you may have been created to be a family but I was not.-

Red's Mewtwo retaliated using aura sphere, -Whatever Team Rocket told you.... I do not know however I have spent time with my friend Red and my family. I know we are more than weapons.-

Mewtwo hissed, -Quiet, clones of Pokemon, get ready for battle, attack.-

Red's Mewtwo flew flew next to Red, -He is too filled with rage to listen to me. I'm sorry but we may have to battle after all.-

Ash looked at him sadly getting up much to his Pokemon's protest, "He is too angry right now, so how about we get him take his anger out. Maybe once he spent his anger, he might listen to us right?"

Red wanted, "That is very risky Ash and I prefer it if you didn't get hurt again."

Ash, "I will be careful, I promise, but..... I don't think we can avoid a full out fight."

Ash looked at the Pokemon battling as he stood up ready to fight, Milotic, Wartotle, Togepi and Kingler had already joined the scuffle. He worried about his Pokemon but Ivysaur and Charizard's grip kept him from going to them in the middle of a fight. He was not suicidal thanks, but he will admit he worried about his Pokemon a little too much to be worried about himself. Charizard huffed guessing what Ash was thinking and rumbled to his mother they would be fine. The Shiny mother Charizard nodded before flying off to battle the clone her son won against but had returned after healing again.

The water Pokemon were fighting against other water Pokemon and Ash could see most water Pokemon clones were from Kanto except for a few from other regions. The same could be said about other Pokemon types that belonged to other regions, Mewtwo no doubt collected samples of Pokemon who migrated through Kanto to create clones. He could see an Altaria, a Pelipper, a Pidove and an Unfezant among the flying type, a Chewtle, a Milotic and a Marrianne among the water types. The fire types had Magmar, Ninetales, Torkoal and a Combusken, probably from Cinnabar island. The ground types had the Alolan Sandshrew and Geodude among them where did Mewtwo..... He probably didn't want to know. The grass types were mostly from Kanto plus Leafleon and a Grovyle, while ice types were Lapras and Froslass. The fighting types were the Tyrogue evolution as well as Machamp while poison types included a mix of bug and grass types and the Fairy types consisted of Cleffable, Jigglypuff and Togepi.

Ash noticed a Lucario watching them, "A Lucario clone!"

Lucario turned to the clone, -Hello.-

Clone Lucario was curious, "Lucario lu rio?"

Lucario, -A lot of practice little one, you are young..... I believe you were born today just now correct?-

Clone Lucario nodded, "Lu lu ca lucario."

Lucario, -You can learn in many ways, I.... we-, he gestured to himself and Ash, -First learned from the Elder Oak, before we started our journey. On our journey we learned more about ourselves.-

While Lucario was talking to the young clone Ash was watching the battle carefully and getting Ivysaur to get the hurt Pokemon both original and clone out. He then took out the medicine from his capsule and started to apply it on them with Tomo's help. It was to his great relief the potions worked on the clone Pokemon just as well as the originals. Ivysaur and Charizard huffed at his actions but didn't protest against it, Ash would not be Ash otherwise. Red was focused on battling with the clones and Mewtwo, despite being a new born, Mewtwo was no doubt more powerful and having a secondary dark typing gave him an upper hand.

Red, "Mewtwo change tactics, use speed."

Red's Mewtwo, -Worry not about me my friend focus on the others, they are reluctant to hurt the clones as they also know the clones are new borns.-

Red, "Alright but if you falter I'm joining you."

Mewtwo thundered, -Are you insinuating we are weak?-

Red's Mewtwo sweatdropped, -No I wasn't, I just know my friends better... And I lost him to anger again.-

Red's Mewtwo flew out of the way of a barrage of shadow balls and dark type attacks huffing in annoyance. He half wondered how Red had dealt with his temper, he used to be just as angry.... Oh yeah he threw me into battles to work my anger out of my system before sitting down and talking to me. He sweatdropped remembering it took a whole week of constant battles and using medicine before he calmed down enough to listen. He then remembered the key stone and evolution stone he had found and stuffed inside Red's travel bag.

Red's Mewtwo stopped, -You are pretty obssessed with power aren't you? How about I show you real power?-

Mewtwo, -Are you insulting me? I know I'm powerful.-

Red's Mewtwo took the stones out and started to use them, he remembered Ash saying Newtwo was it being able to mega evolve on her own. She had used her bond with her Pokemon friends to access the ability and he had been practicing it himself during his training. Red was still sceptical about using the stones for a temporary evolution but didn't stop Mewtwo from trying to use it and helped record how long he could stay mega evolved instead. The longest amout of time was five minutes which was definitely longer than most would expect. In front of the young Mewtwo Red's Mewtwo mega evolved and his form changed.

Mewtwo, -So I have another evolution.... Wait how are the stones still in tact.-

Red's Mewtwo, -This is mega evolution, an evolution a Pokemon can access by forming powerful bonds with those around them.-

Red, "Be careful Mewtwo, you know that form exhaust you a lot."

Red's Mewtwo nodded, -Let's battle.-

The clone Pokemon and the original Pokemon had long stopped fighting and were being treated for their injuries. After seeing what Ash was doing the others had nodded and started bringing the hurt Pokemon over to their side to heal. Nurse Joy and Brock had their hands full helping out the injured to pay attention to anything else and Ash was almost out of medicine. Misty and Duplica took out their potions and started to help out followed by the others who had hurt Pokemon too, Jessilina's Seviper had brought the Ekans and Arbok clones who were hurt.

Jessilina smiled at them gently and took care of them, the clones were wary of them but slowly relaxed after seeing they would not be hurt anymore. Ash had slowly moved towards the battle ring where most of the clone Pokemon were brought and doing his best to heal them using aromatherapy. Unknown to him Ivysaur and Charizard had moved away a bit to talk to the clone Venasaur and Charizard, if they had noticed how close their trainers was to the battlefield they would have flipped. At that one crucial moment a stray shadow ball hurtled towards Ash and only Lucario and Tomo's shout alerted him.

Lucario, -MEEMA!-

Tomo, "Big brother! Look out!"

Ash looked up and paled, 'Oh FML! I don't want to die.'

Ash crouched down to cover Chimchar and Phantump but before the ball could hit him it hit a pink wall. Everyone gasped seeing a certain Legendary floating infront of Ash making a shield. Ash looked up when he realized he was not feeling any pain or burning sensation whatsoever only to be surprised seeing Mew. Mew turned to Ash once the attack dissipitated and made a crooning or questioning noise.

Ash smiled up at her, "You saved us, thank you."

Phantump nodded, "Phaaa."

Chimchar, "Char chim."

Mew gave a bright smile and laugh, "Mew mew mew."

Red's Mewtwo came flying towards him after he mega punched Mewtwo in a fit of frustration, -Ash! Oh child! Are you alright?-

Ash nodded, "We are fine Mewtwo all three of us. Thanks to Lady Mew here."

Red's Mewtwo powered down, -I'm glad, for a moment I feared you were hurt.-

Charizard rumbled softly as he checked the three of them and Red, Drew and the others surrounded them, asking him if he was alright. Ash simply nodded and reassured them that he was fine and unhurt, just a little shaken that he was almost hit by the stray attack. Ivysaur was checking him over just in case he got hurt but stopped seeing there was not even a single scratch. Kingler, Milotic, Wartotle, Togepi and Fearrow were fussing over him and Ash had to calm them down by promising he was just tired nothing more.

Neesha, "I just met you but you have me worried sick about you already."

Corey, "Yeah Ash, be more careful."

Fergus, "I would prefer not to die of a heart attack."

Duplica, "Same Ash! Please be more careful."

Ash looked at them exasperated yet fondly, "I am okay, you guys."

Ash turned to Mewtwo watching them from far and asked tentatively, "Have you calmed down now? You can tell me honestly. I understand why you are angry, I have my own issues with a few humans. So I won't expect you to get over your anger so soon."

Mewtwo who was sporting a shiny eye, -I am still angry but the battle took away most of my anger.-

Red sighed, "I'm happy to hear that. What will you do now?"

Drew was hovering, "Are you sure you should be standing?"

Ash, "I promise I'm fine Drew."

Lucario grumbled but tolerated Drew's presence, -You should rest Meema, please.-

Charizard huffed and picked him up getting a squeak from him, "Charizard, I said I'm fine. I am exhausted and shaken nothing more."

Misty scolded Ash, "If you are exhausted you should rest Ash, not only you used your aura to mega evolve Charizard, you used it to heal the Pokemon. Do not think I didn't notice!"

Lucario, -Really Meema?-

Ash looked away sheepishly, "I was already using aura, I figured I would help out a little bit."

Milotic, -Please avoid using too much, Ash.-

Everyone blinked, "You can talk!"

Milotic sighed, -Seeing Ash almost die was apparently enough incentive to learn aura speak and I prefer not to go through that again thank you.-

Mew meanwhile was talking with both Mewtwo, she was honestly curious about the two of them. She had been the only one of her kind as far as she knew so to have a genetic copy of her infront of her was something. She admitted that she knew they were born but since they didn't cause any world ending trouble she continued her sleep. It was their battle that woke her up apparently, Red's Mewtwo apologized although the younger one didn't and Mew said she didn't mind, as it gave her a reason to wake up. Red sighed this was gonna make one hell of a report and he didn't know how to deal with it, why did he agree to remain a Champion instead of running for the mountains again.

Red's Mewtwo spoke up quietly, -Fear not my friend, I have a suggestion to fix this if you agree to it, Champion.-

Red straightened at that, "And what is that Mewtwo?"

Mewtwo spoke, -We could erase their memories of this night, like nothing ever happened. You would probably be the only one to remember because of your connection to me and maybe that child of yours Ash was it? Because of his own abilities.-

Red's Mewtwo sweatdropped, -He is not my child although I do care about him as one of my own.-

Red sighed, "Fine, I suppose it's how things went originally and it'll save me from the headache of paperwork."

Red's Mewtwo turned to everyone and announced, -Now then, party is over! It's time to go.-

Ash, "We are leaving? What about the clone Pokemon?"

Mewtwo, -Mew offered us a place where we could stay and get used to this world.-

Mew nodded and the two Mewtwo's eyes glowed lifting everyone up and the next thing they knew they were back at the port where they had started. Misty, Duplica, Brock, Jessilina and Jameson looked around confused when Drew spotted them and greeted them. He was going to Cinnabar Island to relax at the hot springs, Ash looked at him confused did they not remember what just happened? Red came up to them and asked to talk to Ash and he explained what the two genetic Pokemon had done making him exasperated. Red shrugged and said it would save him paperwork so he didn't mind making Ash sweatdrop, commenting that was anti climatic, before he heard the siren signaling the departure time. Ash hugged Red and told him they would talk more later before joining the others on the boat. As Ash looked up at the clearing sky, he saw Mew flying through the clouds waving at him before disappearing.

I have read it being used in other fanfics a lot and it felt repeated.

Plus my MC is scared of dying again soooo.....
