Shelgon: desire

From the day I was born, I wished to fly.

Not with gravity or riding someone else but with my wings.

I desired wings like anything.

After my evolution, that desire to fly became a necessity.

I had to fly at any cost.

I could feel that my body starts to change every time I desired to fly.

I will turn this desire and longing into my drive and motivation to move forward.

One day I will fly so fast and high that nobody would be able to reach me.

That is my desire.

After spending the entire day traveling and training their Pokemon at short intervals, they set up their camp.

"So you are an aura guardian now.." Misty said, still in a huge shock.

Aoki had only told her about the powers of normal aura guardians.

Although Aoki could only coat some of his body parts with aura, it was a huge matter.

Misty had never expected Aoki to awaken the power of Aura.

From the tone-down version of the story Aoki told, he had awakened it at the moment when the battle against the hoard of ghost Pokemon got tricky.

She would be lying if she said that she was not jealous. Who doesn't want cool powers like aura and psychokinesis?

Still, she was glad that it was Aoki who got the power. She had seen him work hard till his Pokemon cannot move an inch.

'Everything happens for a reason

"Hey, Aoki, where did you get that ring? You didn't marry someone behind my back, did you?" Misty asked in a sarcastic one.

"Yes Yes while fighting one of the ghost Pokemon got attached to me and proposed to me which I accepted.

This ring is the proof of our love"

Both of them had a good laugh for this after which Aoki told the real thing.

It was given to me by an old man as a reward for solving the case of Lavender town"

As Aoki started serving dinner, A pitch-black Pokemon wearing a red scarf-like thing on his neck popped out from Aoki's shadow with a food plate.

KYaaaa!!

Misty screamed and moved back several meters from Aoki, freaking out badly.

Misty had never heard or read about that pokemon but that Pokemon gave her the most fear she had ever felt.

She felt as if something was gripping her soul and she would die if she stayed a bit longer nearer that Pokemon.

"Please don't kill me….. Please don't kill me…"she constantly said, covering her head.

"Darkrai retracts your aura, you will break her mind" Aoki said as Darkrai's presence dimmed.

Misty started taking deep breaths as the pressure decreased.

Aoki went near her and comforted her till she was back to normal.

"Misty met Darkrai, my new companion, " Aoki said proudly.

Misty quieted down when she heard that Pokemon was Aoki's newest addition. When she heard that it was a mythical Pokemon, she freaked out even more.

"HOW DID YOU GET A MYTHICAL TO YOUR TEAM!!"

"He just decided to follow me. Right, Darkrai? "

"I appear so…can I get another fill, " Darkrai said emptying his plate of food.

"Fine…I don't care anymore. Nothing about you is normal anyways" Misty said as she kept eating.

The next morning, every Pokemon started their meditation and energy control exercise that they do every day without fail.

The change was Darkrai was a new addition to their team.

Misty started her training away from Aoki as usual.

Aoki already has some expectations as to what Misty will say at the end of her training.

Aoki had started to experiment with his dark aura and found some things.

In addition to increasing his physical strength and reaction time to a new level, he found that his sensitivity to energy has increased.

The power to sense the energy of a Pokemon is rare and not unique to Aoki. People like Bill, Oak, and his father could tell the rank of a Pokemon from their energy too.

The difference now is that he can determine the rank of a Pokemon from a distance which was not possible earlier.

If he had to grade his Pokemons based on level, Pidgeotto and Weepinbell would be in 50s, Clefairy and Nidorino in 40s, Charmeleon, Gyarados, Shelgon and Darkrai at 60.

Overcoming the barrier from lev 20 to 21 is not that difficult but 40 to 41 is insanely difficult. The barrier between 60 to 61 is hell difficult and finally, the barrier between 80 to 81 can only be crossed by Legendary, mythical, pseudo-legendary, and peak-level talent Pokemon.

Now that Aoki has a cheat code, he will make his companions reach the top powerhouse.

Aoki found that the taste of his food and poke blocks enhanced to a new degree after he mixed it with aura.

Unlike psychic powers, Aura did not provide telepathy or telekinesis but he didn't care about those things.

While experimenting, he found that he had acquired a minor regeneration ability. Which was very good for him as he always cuts himself and gets injured while training.

As for his Pokemons, he assigned them some warmup exercises under intense gravity before starting the monthly ranking tournament.

Aoki holds regular tournaments among his Pokemons and the winner gets to eat his favorite food for one week.

Pokemon in this are allowed to go all-out keeping in mind to minimize the damage done to the environment.

Last time's winner was Charmeleon with Weepinbell as runner-up.

Aoki was excited to see how the ranking changes.

Darkrai would not participate as Aoki wanted to train him some more.

"Darkrai from my assessment, you need to regain your mastery over Dark and Ghost-type energy before anything else.

Your total energy is at peak master rank but your control is at junior rank so it will take some time "

Darkrai agreed with that statement

"We will start with ghost-type energy by increasing the proficiency over Shadow Ball and gradually increasing its power," Aoki said

"Darkrai can you tell me more about your powers of creating dimensions," Aoki asked

"As you are aware, unlike some mythical pokemon I am not the only one of my kind.

But the ability to create separate dimensions is unique to me because I was the first one of my species and hold the power to control the energy of Chaos.

Almost every Legendary pokemon can create a small pocket Dimension for themselves to live in, taking it from the real world which can be entered with proper steps.

My ability goes beyond that as I can carry it everywhere with me.

I can create a new dimension that had a fully functional ecosystem and the total area of the dimension relies on my strength"

"So the dimension you were trapped in was your creation, right? "

"Yes, it was my creation. If my estimation is correct, I can recreate a dimension for your Pokemons to the line in about 3 months " Darkrai said.

"Thank you, Darkrai. I always planned to have an area to myself where my companions will be safe and I can visit them whenever I want "

"No problem Aoki "

"Let's start your training them"

Clefairy came forward and showed Darkrai an example.

The Shadow ball she conjured is different from normal as it contains a huge amount of ghost-type energy compressed to its limit and added high-speed rotation.

Darkrai understood the concept and started training.

Aoki saw the shadow ball and got an idea.

He asked Clefairy to try mixing different types of energies into the shadow ball and see which one enhanced the powers.

One by one Clefairy tried all of them. Fire-type and normal didn't mix, psychic typeimmediately made the shadow ball explode giving Aoki another idea.

Finally, after a few more tries, electric-type energy was the most compatible and increased the explosive power of the shadow ball.

Aoki assigned her the task to practice this one, creating an explosion with ghost and psychic powers and finally increasing mastery over Dazzling Gleam and Moon Blast.

Gyarados was still learning how to control flying-type energy and fly in the air.

Pidgeotto was trying to increase the power of her steel coating. Weepinbell was trying to further increase the speed of the solar beam and Hyper Beam while adding compression.

Chameleon was trying to increase his steel type and dragon mastery to take them near his fire type.

Nidorino was trying to increase his speed and trying to use multiple energies at once.

Shelgon was tasked to increase his mastery over Dragon Pulse and Twister which he learned to do after his evolution.

Taking out his Pokedex he started to get some things done.

The sales of King's rock were a success and Aoki gained a lot of money from it.

Aoki regularly sends more data on Pokemon that he comes across and his Pokemon from his perspective that earn a lot of praise and money from the research association.

But Aoki knew that if he wanted to get his Pokemons to champion rank, this much money would not be enough.

Even though he has a dark aura, the resources to cultivate a Pokemon that is not legendary or mythical will take an enormous amount of work and money.

He had made plans for such a step which will first require him to win the Pokemon league.

Aoki was very satisfied with the current progress of his Pokemon and looked forward to who can reach the champion rfirstrs .
