Pokemon Alternate Universe Adventures

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.

CH71 (201), Going Around Visiting Friends (3)

After returning to Leaf City, I asked Aaron if he was returning to Rota with me, but he told me he had to go to Turquoise City for a six-month-long mission around the area. So, after wishing him success and congratulating Kinji once more, we split up, and I made my way back home via Horus Express.

The next day I decided to call up Misty, to ask her how she was doing and where she was currently. Nowadays, Misty was on what I would categorize as a semi-journey.

She began her journey nearly 9 years ago and traveled through Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn during her first 6 years. Afterward, she began to periodically roam around Kanto for a while, before returning to her home in Cerulean City for a few weeks.

It was during one of those training trips of hers, that I met her nearly three years ago in Coast City. She had come to the Water Club for some combat experience, while I was there as Jinbe. I was but a humble Diver, while she was a Sea Noble, yet she approached me for a talk.

We talked about my Pokemon, and this was actually roughly a month after Abzu evolved to Milotic, so he came up along with my Gyarados. She asked me if I could tell her where I caught my Feebas, and I told her that I got them close by.

She offered to pay me if I led her to the place I got my Feebas from, and due to some nostalgia, I agreed. I brought her to the ponds and the bay I found Feebas in. She did not find one that appealed to her in the ponds, don't ask me how she decided/felt that, cause I've got no idea either.

Still, I brought her to the bay I got my Feebas from, but Mama/Big Sis Milotic was not at home when we arrived at the bay, so that was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to see her, but Misty found a Feebas that she found appealing enough, so at least that was nice.

She caught the Feebas before she directly took out and handed over a Water Stone worth more than 100k without any hesitation. I obviously secretly checked the potential of Misty's new Feebas and to my surprise, it had light blue potential.

That made me wonder if her appeal claim was not bullsh*t after all, and if she had some kind of water sense. Which, now that I knew she was part of the Williams family, could actually be true.

After that day, we kept meeting on occasion, or rather we saw each other if I was at the Water Club, whenever she came by Coast City. We exchanged numbers after our 3rd meeting and from there a friendship started to develop.

Misty actually successfully advanced to the Sea Lady rank a year after we met for the first time, which was impressive since she was still a few days away from 23 when it happened. A 23-year-old Ace-class trainer or the equivalent was pretty impressive.

Anyway, I went off tangent again. I called Mist and learned that she was currently staying at Cinnabar Island. However, she was planning to visit Coast City on Giratiday. Apparently, her Feebas was ready to evolve, so she wanted to see if she could find a few nice items to help/supplement the evolution.

After the auction, I asked Misty during one of our calls if she was related to the famous Williams of Cerulean City, and she frankly replied with yes. According to her, she did not advertise that fact because she wanted to be known as her own person when meeting people.

She also tried to deal with things on her own first, if possible, but she, in her own words, was not above using her family resources if she deemed it necessary. This was the case here as well.

If she managed to find some/enough useful materials she would be happy. However, if she didn't, she would ask her family for supplements. Misty was not willing to handicap the development of her Pokemon for some silly reason like being independent of her own family.

Her family supported her decision, and it was actually close to the modus operandi of Aaron's family. I asked her about that, and she said that most old families operated/supported a similar behavior, since it helped form a decent character and prevented the descendants from becoming house flowers.

Though, most families/clans were not as strict about it as Aaron's Varon family. Anyway, I told her that I would come to Coast city to meet her on Giratiday. We agreed to meet in front of the Water Club at 1 p.m.

After hanging up, I called aunt Lily to ask if they were at home on Kyoday, and after she confirmed that they had no plans to go out, I told her I was coming by to visit them/Rose.

Come Giratiday, I informed Tiamat and Abzu that I was planning to visit their mom, big sis Milotic. She had insisted that I and my Pokemon called her big sis after I addressed her as aunt Milotic, as we did with uncle Raichu, during one of our visits. The two were understandably excited.

Anyway, I left at noon and made it to coast city with more than half an hour to spare, so I chilled at a cafe across from the Water Club, waiting for Misty to show up. She arrived 5 minutes before 1 p.m, and I left the cafe to meet her.

"Misty, nice to see you." I greeted her with a brief hug. "How are feeling on this nice day?"

"It's nice to see you as well Mikail," she returned before addressing my question. "I'm great, thank you for asking. Hopefully, I'll find some nice things for Amora's evolution, then I'll be even better."

Hearing her answer put a smile on my face since I had something that would definitely help her in that regard.

"Well, in that case, I've got a great suggestion for you," I told her and I saw that she seemed curious at my confident tone.

"Really? What is it?" She asked with a tilt of her head. One of the weapons women used to confound men, along with pouts, glistening eyes, uwus, and ara aras.

"Yep," I said in amusement, popping the p. I had begun to become desensitized toward these tactics. After waiting a moment to build up the suspense I told her my idea.

"Do you remember the bay you caught your Feebas?" I asked and she gave a nod.

"I have a pretty good relationship with the Milotic that reigns over that area. She is pretty reasonable and I am sure I could get her to negotiate with you for one of her Prism Scales. She is either at or above the platinum stage, so a Prism Scale from her will be extremely useful for your Feebas. Especially, since your Feebas is probably a descendant of hers." As soon as I said that she vibrated in excitement.

"Are you for real?" Misty grabbed ahold of my shoulders and asked in disbelief.

I patted her hand to signal her to let go, which she did with a sheepish smile.

"Yeah, I'm not kidding," I replied humorously before my tone turned more serious. "However, I can only get her to speak with you. You'll have to barter for her Prism Scale by yourself. It depends on whether you have things that will interest her enough to give you a scale in exchange."

Misty nodded enthusiastically. "Leave that to me, I'm sure I'll find something she wants."

To be honest, using such a high-class material for the evolution was kind of a waste, which was why I used big sis Milotic's old scales I found in the cave for Tiamat and Abzu's evolution.

Using such a high-class Prism Scale would mean that a lot of its energy/effects would go to waste due to the Feebas inability to absorb and digest it.

Well, it should help make up for some of the deficits due to early breakthroughs and possibly evolution, but my Pokemon did not need that.

"Alright, do you want to go there right now, or do you want to stroll/look around Coast City first?" I inquired and Misty took my right hand into hers before dragging me in the direction of the city center.

"Let's look around Coast City first. Maybe I'll find something that would be useful to trade with that Milotic," she said with excitement.

We strolled around the city for the next three hours, visiting several stores selling various stuff. I gave her the advice that she could also look into stuff that would help the bay since big sis Milotic cared about her territory, and its inhabitants.

She spent more than a million to buy a lot of saplings of a certain plant. While said plant contained only a relatively small amount of water energy, it had a beautifying effect when consumed. It made the skin shinier and softer.

Processed the effect was better, but it still worked if directly consumed. For other species that might not be really appealing, but for Feebas and Milotic it was really useful. The reason the saplings were so expensive was that the seeds were not easy to germinate, so the plant was rather uncommon.

I bought some saplings for Utopia as well. While not really useful, I could plant them in Abzu and Tiamat's habitat. Besides that, she bought a Mystic Water Crystal, which was basically a compressed crystallized version of Mystic Water. It was really potent, due to the amount of pure water energy it had stored.

She spent more than 30.000.000 Poke on that crystal despite it "only" being B-class. She brought a few more smaller things before she felt confident enough to go into negotiations.

Honestly, I thought she went kind of overboard, but none of the stuff would go to waste, and she would need to pay more if she tried to find a similar Prism Scale.

Moreover, that Prism Scale would not be as effective even if it was in the same class, due to big sis Milotic being related to Misty's Feebas unlike the source of the random Prism Scale.

A quick look at my watch told me it was time for lunch, so we went to eat some delicious Krabby Burgers. Seeing how she had just spent so much money, I decided to be generous and paid the bill instead of splitting it. What a great Gentleman I was.

"When we get there, leave the topic of the Prism Scale for later. I'll introduce you first, let out my Milotic to spend some time with her, and then I'll open up the topic. After that, you can try to persuade her, alright?" I cautioned Misty since getting straight into haggling would be a dumb idea.

"I know, I'm not that impatient." She mock-complained and we made our way to the "Milotic Bay". That was the name I gave the place and I think I did a great job naming it. As soon as we stepped onto the beach I began to announce our arrival.

"Big Sis! Big Sis, I came to visit you. Big Sis, are you home?" I was shouting to attract her attention. I repeated that one more time before Milotic surfaced.

"Mi, milo, mi. Lotic, mi, milotic." She said after she surfaced, and it sounded lovely.

Most would be captivated by the nice sound, but due to spending long enough with Abzu, Tiamat, as well as her, I understood what she said, and because of that I was not mesmerized by her entrance like Misty was.

I mean, it was a bit hard to be entranced when you understand that she said "Alright, I'm here. You can stop shouting, brat."

"Big sis, I've come to spend some time with you. Tiamat, Abzu, and I have missed you, so here we are." I put it on a bit thick, before motioning towards Misty, who looked a bit perplexed when I mentioned two names instead of one.

"That's Misty, the aspiring Water Master I've told you about. I've brought her along this time after I met her in Coast City." I introduced Misty to Milotic.

I had actually mentioned Rose and Misty to her, the first in case she wanted a Feebas in the future, and the second while telling her about the Feebas that chose to go with Misty the last time I brought her to "Milotic Bay".

She had been a bit miffed that Misty caught her Feebas while she was away, but I calmed her down and persuaded her that the Feebas was in good hands.

Big sis Milotic observed Misty for a moment, just enough to unnerve Misty a bit before she thrilled out a greeting. I had to chuckle at the byplay which earned me a "look" from Misty before she greeted big sis Milotic as well.

After the greeting was out of the way, I released Tiamat and Abzu, before signaling Misty, who looked in awe at Tiamat whom she saw for the first time, to do the same with her Feebas. She did as requested, before turning to me.

"You had another Milotic? A shiny one to boot," she asked in a mix of awe and surprise.

"Yep, I normally keep her a secret since she is a shiny on top of being a Milotic, but I trust you enough to reveal her to you," I answered cutting off a possible "why didn't you show her to me until now" before she could say it.

She just nods in understanding, and we turn our attention to our Pokemon who are talking to their mom/ancestor. We spent the next two hours playing and/or observing our Pokemon as well as big sis Milotic.

Well, big sis also asked our Pokemon to showcase their progress, before handing out a few comments, but after that, they enjoyed their time together.

Once the two hours were up I thought it was the right time to broach the subject of Misty getting a Prism Scale, so I went up to big sis Milotic and told her about Feebas upcoming evolution, and Misty's hope of exchanging one of her Prism Scales to help with said evolution.

What followed was 5 to 10 minutes of bargaining and in the end, Misty got a fresh Prism Scale in exchange for all saplings she had bought, the Mystic Water Crystal, and two more water-type treasures, albeit of the C-class. Milotic probably got those for her other kids and not herself.

Everyone, was happy and satisfied with the trade, but to be honest, I was sure that if it was someone else that tried to get one of her Prism Scales, Milotic would have asked for way more than she did from Misty.

The reason for that was two-fold. First, it would be a random person, so she would have no reason to be friendly, and second, Misty's Feebas was her own descendant, the Feebas of the random person was not.

Anyway, after the trade, we stayed for another hour before saying our farewells to big sis Milotic and returning to Coast City. As soon as we left "Milotic Bay" Misty hugged me and thanked me for my help. She was in a great mood the whole way to Coast City.

Since it was dinner time we went to a seafood restaurant and ate dinner together. Afterward, she gave me another hug as well as thank you before we split and I returned home.

I did a poll before writing this chapter and the next one to ask my patrons if I should write GAVF (3) and (4), or if I should just start with the sixth term. The result was that the majority wanted me to write those two GAVF chapters, so that was what I did.
