15: Legendary Encounter

Jayden wasn't surprised by the notification of the system, he had already been informed before that each gym defeated would give him rewards.

he was mostly happy about the 10,000 PokeCoins, he was almost running out of money, which was needed to buy PokeFood, potions, and other necessary things, even hotels cost money.

Raboot went from lvl 18 to 20

Gyarados went from lvl 21 to 23

Pidgeotto went from lvl 23 to 25

their strengths had increased even more.

Jayden now also had 7 great balls, but yet still only 1 ultra ball in his inventory currently.

"raboot let's go" Jayden said after they left the front yard area of the pewter city gym.

after hopping on his bike which was tied up around a metal pole, they decided to continue their journey, the sun was still out.

Jayden planned to head to route 3.

when his rotom phone shook a little.

it was a text from a group chat he was in with both of his parents.

"mom: Hey Jay, since it's almost summertime your father and I planned a vacation later, let me know if you want to join us"

"Jayden: it depends where we are going"

after saying this he put his rotom phone away.

Jayden increased his pedaling speed and left pewter city, what followed was a small forest area.

Jayden felt his heart stop in a split second, his attention was immediately put into the sky.

a Golden figure of brilliance soared through the heavens, it's Phoenix like tail scattered many magical glows throughout the sky as a random rainbow appeared behind it as it flew.

as it's magnificent seven colored wings flew amongst the clouds, a singular flower fell off the legendary bird and drifted towards the earth.

Ho-Oh.

Jayden watched as a seven colored feather of Ho-Oh fell towards his direction, he reached out with his hands and grabbed it.

his eyes stayed on the figure of the divine bird in the sky for a while before it disappeared towards the setting sun, followed by it's magical rainbow.

the system informed Jayden the moment his eyes landed on the illuminating bird feather.

"just a feather of Ho-Oh has such a special effect?" Jayden became shocked, he hadn't heard about this even in the anime.

Raboot had also witnessed this scene, although it was flabbergasted, it didn't know the origin of this huge pokemon, it only knew that it was incredibly powerful.

"Pidgeotto, come out"

the moment Pidgeotto came out and landed on the ground Jayden showed it the 7-Colored feather of Ho-Oh.

Pidgeotto only looked at the feather in confusion before getting closer and sniffing it, playing with the feather.

"yes"

the 7-Colored feather which was already in pidgeotto's talons broke free before shining a bright rainbow like light.

the feather then fell onto Pidgeotto and blended into its feathers.

Jayden decided to believe the system's words, although he wanted to test pidgeotto's new strength increase from the feather, this wasn't the place to do it.

he continued on his path past the small forest, heading towards route three following a dirt path.

Route 3 was in a zigzag shape surrounded by mountains on all sides with many dangerous ledges.

Jayden ran into many earth type Pokemon while pedaling through the route, but they were too weak for him to take action.

Raboot scared them all away just with its gaze alone.

Jayden was planning to take the northern route, which led to Mt. Moon, the southern path only led to an area filled with craters.

after pedaling through route 3 for a long while Jayden's noticed a remote pokemon center in the far distance.

the figures of people could be seen leaving and entering the building.

Jayden stood in front of the dark cave entrance which led inside Mt. Moon, he placed his bike inside his inventory space and prepared to enter with Raboot.

if any strong Pokemon appeared in the cave, Gyarados could defeat them immediately.

Jayden pulled out a flashlight and entered the cold dark cave with Raboot.

the sound of many zubat could be heard all around.

after flashing the flashlight around a bit, Jayden noticed that it was rocky all around, the ground below him was rocky and boulders were everywhere.

he opened his rotom phone and looked at the map led through Mt. Moon, Most pokemon trainers that passed through this area raged at the difficulty of getting out.

so of course after a while a detailed map leading out of the cave was created.

Jayden didn't call out Gyarados just yet, it was too big and could possibly collapse the whole cave entrance.

Jayden followed the path and walked through the cave, he encountered many Pokemon but none of them were worth catching or even caught his eye.

there were also fossils that could be found in Mt. Moon but Jayden wasn't too interested in any of these.

he mostly just wanted to leave this cave, there were plenty of chances to get better rock type Pokemon in the future.

after going through the dark cave, battling a bunch of weak pokemon and almost getting lost, Jayden made it out of Mt. Moon.

he then slowly released a sigh of relief when he saw a sign leading to route 4.

Jayden noticed the sky was getting dark and planned to make it to cerulean city before it was too dark.

he pulled out his bike from his inventory and rode along the path with Raboot at the front.

while pedaling through these plains for almost 30 minutes, Jayden passed a small group of trees surrounding a pond.

cerulean city was just a mile or so ahead.
