S4E23: Reunions

As the smoke cleared Ash Ketchum, and Dawn came racing in with there Pokémon out and ready for battle. Joy smiled before turning back to her friends and giving them orders as they drove Team Galactic away. As for Foxx he was slowly slipping away when Dawn knelt beside him and took his hand. He could faintly hear her crying.

"It's going to be okay I just need to rest a bit for now is all." weakly sighed Foxx before passing out.

Later that night Foxx sat up awake in the hospital with Dawn holding Joy sitting to one side of his bed while Ash was sleeping in a chair in the corner. As for pikachu he was sitting in Ash's lap waiting for Foxx to wake up, and when he did he ever so lightly electrocuted Ash to wake him up.

"Ahhh!" exclaimed Ash which in turn woke Joy and Dawn up as well while causing Foxx to chuckle to which Ash glared at him and said, "You know it's not really that funny."

"Actually Ash it really is." teased Dawn with a smile.

"Especially since you're a loud snorer and a deep sleeper. I'm actually surprised pikachu didn't have to use a more powerful move to wake you up." teased Foxx with a smile at which point Joy leaped from Dawn's arms and into Foxx's lap.

"Ha ha real funny look everyone there's a comedian in the room." replied Ash before sticking his tongue out at Foxx.

"Well, as amusing it is to watch you two argue I do have to say Foxx you're an idiot! Why'd you take on those thugs all by yourself?" scolded Dawn which snapped everyone to attention to which she then looked at her feet before more softly adding, "I was scared I was going to loose you."

"One Dawn they really didn't give me much of a choice and second I never meant to scare you." confessed Foxx as he began to pet Joy as she snuggle close to him. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay Fantina told me that you beat her as well as Crasher Wake. Does that mean you're going to stay in the region and go after all of the region's badges?" asked Dawn with a grin.

"Not really Fantina wanted to battle before we left the islands while Crasher Wake was just along the way to here. That doesn't mean as we travel if we come across any of the other gyms I won't challenge them." explained Foxx.

"You mean you're going to travel with me and Ash?" confusingly asked Dawn with her head tilted to one side.

"Well I was more hoping to travel with you. Possibly to go see your family. After all you've met all of my crazy family yours can't be too bad." replied Foxx with a smile.

"And what am I supposed to do while you two are off playing boyfriend and girlfriend?" questioned Ash as he crossed his arms.

"PIKA!" came a low growl from Pikachu as sparks started to crackle from his cheeks which meant for Ash to choose his next comment carefully.

"It's okay pikachu, I can understand his concerns but if he really must know he could just try to beat the gym leaders he's yet to beat this far." replied Foxx helping to calm pikachu a bit.

"Yah it's not like we're going to travel the whole region and never come back for you." teased Dawn with a smile. "It's just a week maybe a little longer depending on how long my family want us to stay."

"Well Foxx I'll only let you and Dawn go off on this side quest of yours as long as you can beat me in a Pokémon battle. Full six on six. You win, you and Dawn get to spend a week and a half going to visit her family, but if I win, then you come with us and cheer me on as I claims the final few badges required before entering the championship." declared Ash, "So what will it be."

"Let's make it a three on three because you know pikachu won't fight me and that way if you have anymore charzards in your party." replied Foxx with a half teasing reference to how for the longest time charzard wouldn't ever listen to him.

"Fine as soon as you're cleared to leave and you are able to heal your Pokémon we'll have our three on three battle." replied Ash.

"But why do you have to fight over me I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions." snapped Dawn.

"I know. I was just accepting his challenge for a battle just to humor him. I know that in the end the decision is truly yours." replied Foxx with a smile.

"Yah, Umm same Dawn I was just challenging Foxx because we haven't battled since Christmas and I was looking for an excuse to do so thus the challenge. In the end I was always going to let you do whatever it was you wanted." replied Ash with a nervous smile.

"Really? I think you boys got busted and are now just trying to cover yourselves. I think I should battle both of you and whoever can beat me gets to choose what we do together." teased Dawn looking as serious as possible especially as she added, "Oh and Ash you can only use pikachu and Foxx you're only allowed to us Joy."

"Now who's being unfair for you know that neither one of them would fight you." whined Ash flopping all the way back in his chair.

"Vul, vulpix vul." chimed Joy with a smile.

"Speak for yourself Ash." teased Foxx with a smile before looking at Dawn and adding, "You're on. I'll first face off against Ash without using Joy before using only Joy to beat you."

"Joy! You'd really fight me? I thought we were friends?" exclaimed Dawn all dramatic like to which Joy just rolled her eyes at her.

"Vul." replied Joy with a shrug of her shoulders.

"I think it's because if I win she gets to help me choose what exactly we all do together.
