Pokémon Chapter: 9 A New Member Is Here

Waking up, Troy had made sure to check if the egg was okay. Seeing that it had cracks on it, Troy was worried that something might have been wrong since it hadn't hatched yet. To Troy's relief, he looked up Pokémon eggs and saw that it was rare but safe for an egg to not completely hatch yet.

Getting ready Troy headed to the private training grounds to finally start training Kakunas Electroweb in private, saving it as a trump card for the test. Better yet, it was a great move to counter Zubat while also lowering its speed.

Spending 250 points Troy had access to the training room for the next 5 hours, and with it being a private room, Troy could use different settings that the regular training grounds had. As Troy was looking through the different settings that room had, he picked target practice with the targets moving. "Alright, Kakuna, we are going to be practicing electroweb today. What I want you to do is try and hit all the moving targets with electroweb without missing, as most Pokémon won't be stopping for you to use electroweb on them."

Kakuna, hearing this, got ready and waited for Troy to start the training. The moment Troy started the practice targets, they started to move around slowly. First, Kakuna could hit 5 targets with electroweb before they started to speed up. Missing the 6th one, Kakuna managed to hit the 7th and 8th targets before failing at the rest of the 30 targets. Troy, seeing this, was surprised at how fast the targets were moving after the 5th one, as well as how Kakuna quickly got used to the 7th and 8th targets.

As their training had continued, Troy started to hear something cracking, quickly turning off the training. He headed straight to his bag, where the noise was coming from, quickly looking inside the bag. Troy saw that the egg was starting to hatch quickly, taking it out of the incubator. Troy was now holding the egg in his hand, waiting for it to fully hatch. After about 2 minutes of waiting, the egg finally hatched, revealing a budew.

Troy, seeing a budew for the first time, quickly looked at the budew's information with his eyes.

Moves: Absorb, Growth, Stun Spore, Worry Seed, Leaf Storm (EM), Extrasensory (EM) 

Troy, seeing this, was surprised at how strong Budew was, as he could not see the aura as it was locked away from his eyes, as well as the egg moves Budew was born with. Budew soon opened its eyes, seeing Troy for the first time as it started to cry.

Soon Troy started to panic as he didn't know how to raise a baby Pokémon. Not knowing what to do, Kakuna came over to see what the noise was all about. Budew, seeing that Kakuna had appeared in front of it, suddenly stopped crying. Seeing this, Troy looked confused as to why Budew stopped crying when Kakuna came over. "Huh, little fella, you seemed like you like Kakuna."

Since budew had hatched, Troy had to put training on hold as budew was more important to take care of right now. Troy soon started to pack up and put Budew in his bag so members wouldn't see him, as Troy wanted Budew to be a part of his main trainer team.

As Troy was returning to his room, Troy started to order moo milk so he could feed Budew until it was done with its baby phase. While ordering it, Troy also bought a few pokeballs and more oddish leaves for Kakuna to eat.

After all the stuff Troy had bought had arrived, Troy started to give the moo moo milk to Budew as it was crying out in hunger. Finally, after giving the milk to Budew, it started to drink from the bottle and stop crying, which Troy was relieved about. Soon hours had past, and Budew was fast asleep, while Troy was annoyed that he had spent 250 points on private training rooms only to not use them for an hour.

Morning soon came as Budew woke up, running around and waking Troy up. "Alright, I get it. You have a lot of energy. It stinks that you won't be able to train until you're older. How about you just watch Kakuna today and see how it trains, as I'm going to need to come up with a training plan for youu?"

Budew, hearing that, nearly cried out in a tantrum until it was heard it would have its own training regime. Calming down, Budew got into the bag and waited for Troy to start getting ready to head down to the training room, where Budew would be able to see how Kakuna trains. 

Arriving at the training room, Troy started to put the setting on and get Kakuna to practice on the moving targets using electrowebs. Kakuna started to hit seven targets before missing the rest again. Troy, watching this, told Kakuna to make the webs smaller and see if they could go faster. Budew, seeing this, was impressed at how fast Kakuna was adapting to his electrowebs, as well as Troy being impressed. Soon, Kakuna was using smaller electrowebs and was shooting faster than it was before hitting 10 targets before they started to get too fast while moving.
