Pokémon Chapter: 8 Getting An Egg

After waking up, Troy started to get dressed and started to make breakfast for himself while giving Kakuna the last of the odd leaves. Soon after finishing up, Troy started to pack everything up and make sure that he had everything before leaving.

Once everything was packed, Troy told Kakuna that it was time to train. "Alright, Kakuna we're going to start the training this morning before we go try to catch Pokémon for Team Rocket."

"Alright, weedle, today we are going to just focus on the string shot and try to get it to expert rank this week." Troy said it in a serious tone.

After Kakuna's training was finished, Troy and Kakuna started to head deeper into the forest. They had met many Pokémon watching them walk around the forest on guard in case they needed to attack Troy. Most Pokémon he could see were still under the red aura, which is considered normal rank, and with Troy only having 3 pokeballs, he had to make it worth it to catch them.

Troy continues on into the forest with Kakuna in his bag for the next hour, finally spotting a pidgey that had a silver aura around it, sleeping on a branch.

Kakuna heard what Troy had said and was getting ready to attack it. "Alright, Kakuna, use the electroweb to capture the pidgey." Kakuna, ready to use the electroweb, aimed at the pidgey, getting it by surprise. The pidgey tried to escape but was unable to while also taking damage.

Seeing that it was low on health, Troy threw the pokeball at the pidgey, hitting it enough for it to be caught. Walking up to pick up the pokeball, Troy saw how far in the forest they were and decided to go back, still scared of what happened in that dream.

While walking back, Troy was looking at his bracelet, which was in compass mode, showing him which way to go to get out. While focusing on that, Kakuna was shaking the bag as it seemed to have spot something. Troy filled Kakuna behind him and saw that Kakuna fell out going to pick Kakuna back up. Troy looked ahead to see what would happen to be rare, that being an egg.

Troy picked Kakuna back up and said, "Hey, Bud, did you happen to see that egg? Nice job, Bud." Kakuna hearing that compliment shacked in happiness.

Looking around, Troy saw no Pokémon nearby, just as he was about to go pick it up. Troy remembered in a dream that he happened to see an egg. Walking up to it, Troy asked, "Was it you that was calling out to me?" As if hearing what Troy had said, the egg started to shake, surprising Troy as it looked like it was going to hatch but didn't end up hatching.

Troy, seeing as there were no Pokémon claiming this egg, decided to take it for himself, returning Kakuna back to his pokeball so he could put the egg in his bag and walking carefully back to Pewter City so as not to damage the egg. Troy had arrived at the entrance of the team Rocket Base.

Entering the base, Troy made his way to the Pokémon trader to trade in the silver aura pidgey he had caught. Arriving at the counter, Troy gave the pidgey and waited for its rank to be examined. The team Rocket employed came out and told Troy that the pidgey he had caught was a silver rank pidgey and that they would buy it from him for 7000 points with 100 points taken off for the scan.

Agreeing with the price, Troy had put his hand with the bracelet out to be transferred 6900 points. Receiving the points, Troy had asked for an egg incubator, which cost 700 points, and some oddish leaves, costing him 400 points, as well as 10 great balls, spending another 700 points in the end, leaving him with only 5100 points.

Finished with what he bought, Troy headed to the guest rooms as this was not the main rookie base he started at. Getting into the room, Troy had taken out the egg to put it in the incubator so it could hatch faster. Looking at the egg, Troy could not see any information pop up so he would not know if it was a strong Pokémon, but for some reason he felt like this was destiny and the egg was no push-over.

Troy, feeling tired, decided to go to sleep so he could wake up and train Kakuna in the morning before going back out to Viridian Forest to try and catch more Pokémon so he could get stronger before the test in 3 weeks.

As Troy was fast asleep, he started to dream about the egg again. As he was in the real world, the egg was starting to shake as if it knew that Troy was dreaming of it. Cracks started to appear both in dream and real life.
