Chapter 5: Dusk Attack 3

He felt complicated in my heart when looking at this mother and daughter scene in front of him. As this scene looked all too familiar to him and reminded him of him and his sister.

In his previous world, life was harsh to him and his sister. When their parents died early in their life and because they had no relatives, no one took care of them.

Eren, being of legal age, had to take care of his sister, and due to this overtime, he started treating her like his own daughter. He did whatever it took to make her happy. 

Whether it was to comfort her or simply just to brighten her sad day. He protected his sister from all harm that came her way, and seeing this scene in front of him made him so emotional.

Shaking his head, he stood up while quickly getting rid of this feeling. He took one last look at the mother and daughter, Rattata, before turning his head towards the battle between the shiny bird and the ugly rat.

Looks like the Spearow won, but although he won, the ugly Rattata is not dead yet. Considering they're both injured, I could probably take advantage of this chance to launch a sneak attack, but the problem is who.

According to normal sense, I should go for the one that's most injured, which is the Rattata, but that would probably leave a chance for the Spearow to escape, which is of a total loss to me. I could go for the Spearow, but only if it's a one-hit k.o, so let's see first.

While thinking of this, he opened the system's basic info. viewer and checks on both their current information....

Looking at this, his eyes narrowed as he thought to himself. Wait, why is the ugly Rattata's heath more than the Spearow?...could it be faking defeat and preparing to sneak attack? If so, that's one sneaky Rat. I better be extremely cautious when attacking and watch out for that Rat. So Spearow, I choose you...

Just as he was about to strike, a bright light caught his eye. Looking back speechlessly at his burning, bright tail that he had forgotten about. He couldn't help but wonder if maybe he should rethink his sneak attack plan.

Suddenly, the Spearow in the air who had long put distance between him and his opponent, dove down, moving in for the killing blow, but looking at him, the ugly Rattata smiled maliciously. 

Seeing this, Eren's heart raced as he screamed internally No!!! My EXP!!. Quickly condensing a flame in his mouth, he spits out towards the ugly Rattata (Ember)

Noticing this flame appearing in its vision, the ugly Rattata quickly dodged, but the Spearow, having exhausted its strength, was not so lucky, as his attack that should have fallen on the ugly rat fell on Eren's ember. Seeing Spearow dive into his flame, Eren felt overjoyed as the system's prompt sounds in his ear.
