Chapter 25: The hunt for the sanin

"Kakashi...the third has died in the battle..." Gai said as he reached to Kakashi about Sarutobi, the Third Hokage's death.

"I see..." Kakashi muttered.

"Due to lord third's death the village will go in a state of restlessness we will need a new Hokage" Kakashi stated as he pulled his headband down covering his Sharingan.

'The look for the new Hokage should start soon, I will return to the Wind nation. ' Sanemi thought as he changed into new garments.

Suddenly he heard two knocking noises coming from his inn door.

'Hmm? These are anbu? perhaps they are coming to inspect me in case I have a hand in the invasion. Well, I did come while escorting the sands team.' Sanemi thought as he opened the door.

"Apologies for the disturbance Sanemi-dono but we will have to run an inspection on your room and yourself, please come follow us, " One of the anbu said.

"Very well, I did come with the team of the hidden sand feel free though most of my belongings are packed since I was going to leave in a few days. " Sanemi replied with a small smile.

"Thank you for the cooperation Sanemi-dono we again do apologize for the accusation. " The anbu politely replied and one of them checked Sanemi's belongings and the other inspected Sanemi.

"We found nothing to be suspicious of you Sanemi-dono we do again thank you for cooperating with us " The anbu politely thanked Sanemi. As a merchant who is quite famous, they can't recklessly inspect Sanemi as it can result in a punishment directly from the Dynamos.

"Well, no worries I understand that it is your job to protect the village " Sanemi replied with a smile as he saw the two anbu disappear using shunshin.

'I guess I will leave in two days and meet the Sanin in a few days' Sanemi thought as he headed straight to the bed.

A few days later Sanemi finally left the hidden leaf village in search of the village where Tsunade was found.

'If I had known that one day I would have been reincarnated in Naruto I would have done better research. ' Sanemi thought as he didn't know where to look for the sanin.

'If it gets desperate I always use observation haki. But I guess sightseeing along the way is not bad. ' Sanemi thought as he enter yet another village that had nothing in common with what he remembers according to the anime.

'I guess I will take a sake break here' Sanemi thought and entered a bar.

"I will have your best sake and snacks" Sanemi ordered to the waitress and took a seat on one of the tables.

'Hmm, quite good sake, and the snack is quite delicious as well' Sanemi thought as he enjoyed his time and calmly enjoyed his sake and snacks while occasionally observing his surroundings.

"Tsunade-sama we just lost a lot of money I think we should retire from gambling for today " A woman's voice came and 2 women entered the bar.

One of them had short raven-black hair, jet-black eyes, and a petite body structure with a c-cup chest and similar size bottom. The other one had ash-blonde hair, hazel brown eyes, and a huge chest, and similar-looking bottom. Both of the women looked quite appealing to the eyes and were beautiful in their own way.

"Shizune, I am certain that I will hit a jackpot next time! " Tsunade exclaimed proudly and sat on one of the tables the other girl also followed her suite.

"But Tsunade-sama..." Shizune tried to convince her sensei.

"Shizune we will gamble listen to me, I am your sensei, and I am certain that I will win big cash next time!" Tsunade stated and then ordered some sake and snacks for both of them.

'huh, would you look at that maybe I am a protagonist after all ' Sanemi thought with a little smile and then continued enjoying his sake and snacks.

After some time the day started to end and the moon replaced the sun, the stars shined as the nightlight paved the way. Two people, one man, and one child walked down the road to a pub.

"Pervy-sage we were unable to find her here what will be do? " Naruto asked tired from searching around the village to find the fifth Hokage, Tsunade Senju.

"Then we will just have to look harder Naruto hey look a bar let's get some food and then we will continue tomorrow!" Jiraiya said as he patted his student and entered the bar.

As soon as he opened the bar the first person he saw was a woman with blonde hair and a huge rack.

"Hmm?" Both of them hummed as they started at each other.

"Tsunade!!!"

"Jiraiya!!!" Both of them called out and pointed at each other.

'And the plot thickens ' Sanemi thought as he ordered another bottle o sake along with another serving of meat.
