sun was high, birds chirping melodiously, gentle wind shaking the leaves slowly, Rei felt sunlight shone through the shades of the trees all around him, he open his weary eyes and grabs anything beside him trying to feels his surounding. the heat of sunlight, the smell of fresh grass and gentle wind hit him hard with realization, he was laying on the grass outside!
all he could think off was something bad had happened and he was now outside! panic shrouded his mind, as he already knew if he ever exposed to potent ultraviolet it would be game over for him, skin cancer is no joke and he wants to have a long life. he gathered his strength and jump out from the grass.
Rei looks around his surrounding trying to find some place dark enough, at least for him to ran from the sunlight exposure, he saw one of the tree and scurying in hurry to the shaded place under it.
he slumped his back to the tree's body trying to adjust his breath, after a few second he regained his composure and the stinging pain from sunlight which he usualy got outside didn't come as he expected! he just feels normal!
"....what happened?" Rei said in low voice trying to remember everything he had experienced. but no matter how hard he think, he couldn't find any inklings of what happened to him.
all he could remember was him choosing the game to play next after he finished the last, and suddenly there was a tingling sensation on his head, after that there was nothing but him waking up in the middle of nowhere surrounded by greenery.
finally his composure returned, Rei was never a sloppy person, his condition dictates him to be always aware of his surrounding and think twice before doing anything, Rei was in the middle of the wood, there are many trees, but it isn't enough to call it as a jungle.
as he felt the sunlight wasn't as stinging as he usualy feels before, Rei gathers his courage and stretch his hand toward the light which passing through the leaf shades.
"....it feels warm! its not stinging and painful as usual!!!" he thought with surprised face, slowly but surely Rei walk through the open area which wasn't covered by tree's shade.
when his whole body step outside the shade, warm sunlight was all he could feel, stretching open his arm wide, Rei turn up his face and closing his eyes toward the sun.
"...this must be dream right? if this is a dream, please don't ever wake me up...!" tears slowly droped on his cheeks, for several minutes Rei retain his pose, smiling gratefuly towards the sky as he didn't feel any discomfort after standing under the sunlight for a long time.
Rei opens his eyes, smiling like a child he run as fast as he could,
"YAHOOOOOOO...HAHHAHAHAHAHA! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THAAAANK YOUUUU!" Rei gleeful voice could be heard quite far, scarring several small animals and birds alike.
still laughing, Rei run and jump without course under the sun, feeling so joyful as tears of gratitude fell down on his cheeks.
usualy, if he was being exposed under the sunlight, he would feels his skin burning, eyes tearing and if he stays for more than 5 minutes, he would feels dizzy and pass out. but now everything feels normal! his skin doesn't feels any pain and dizziness.
for more than 20 years, Rei couldn't stays under ultraviolet exposure, now, he could finally feels the warm sunlight and gentle wind with his own skin in this place, how could he not feel emotional?
「DING」
Rei stopped on his track gasping for air as he heard all of the sudden the bell sounds came out of nowhere!
