Chapter 23

: Fishman Island

Fishman Island Fishman Street.

This place has been taken over by a new group of fish-man pirates. The streets are chaotic and filled with fish-men.

A fishman went to a bar and told Hody Jones, who was sitting in the shadows.

"Boss, there are new human pirates coming to the island."

"Oh?"

"Deal with them like we have before."

Hody Jones picked up a bottle and casually started drinking from it, not concerned for it at all.

"Alright boss."

The fishmen nodded respectfully, then turned and left.

"Another stupid human has arrived at our doorstep. Looks like we'll be getting more slaves."

The short shark man sitting nearby, wearing an old-style helmet, sneered.

"Hey, how are things going with Vander Decken ?"

Hody Jones took the bottle away from his mouth and turned to look at Hammerhead Shark Man Dosun.

"Vander Decken has agreed. Now he's just waiting for our order, Boss."

Hody Jones grinned. "then I wish you a great victory!"

"Cheers!"

Muchen and Z were going for their own business. Zwas taking people to coat the warship, while Muchen and Ain were exploring Fish-Man Island.

Whenever Ain follow or not , he didn't mind.

But this sassy girl kept staring at Muchen, making him uncomfortable.

"I've already told you, please stop staring at me like that. It feels like I've done something wrong to you."

"Snort!"

Ain snorted and ignored him, still staring.

If he even tries to do something inappropriate with a mermaid here, I'll show him...!Ain muttered.

Muchen sighed and start walking ahead to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Ain clenched her teeth and hurriedly followed him.

"Can't he see?can't you make a move ? You're a man, and I'm a woman!

Ain thought angrily.

"Quick! Find the invading pirates!"

Soldiers from the Mermaid Kingdom were urgently searching the streets.

"What's going on?"

Ain looked at the fish-men soldiers, feeling confused.

"Some pirates probably entered without registering at the entrance. Speaking of which, we're also pirates."

Muchen shrugged.

Ain felt a bit down at that. Yes, she was also a pirate now.

Even though she fought for justice in her heart, she was still regarded as a criminal by the current navy.

The two of them walked on, avoiding the fish-men soldiers.

Muchen didn't want to get involved with those fish-men soldiers.

A dozen fish-men thugs approached with evil smiles on their faces. Muchen sighed when he saw this.

"Oh, looks like we're in trouble again."

Ain smiled softly upon hearing that.

"Human, come with us."

The leading fishman sneered.

Muchen shook his head helplessly. In an instant, he swiftly took down the dozen fish-men thugs, who were now lying on the ground in pain.

Muchen knelt down and stared coldly at the leading fishman.

"Tell me, who sent you?"

"Ahem, you humans will pay for it , Our boss Hody will get revenge! Humans will be slaves to us fish-men!!!"

The leading fishman coughed up blood, but his arrogant look didn't waver even near death.

"Oh? Hody Jones? The new fish-man pirate group."

There was a coldness in Muchen's eyes as he stretched out his hand, ready to break the fishman's neck.

"Mu Chen, do you know about this new fish-man pirate group?"

Ain asked curiously.

"They're just a bunch of weaklings who want to use humans as slaves and rule over Fish-Man Island." Muchen nodded. "They're nothing but trash."

Hody Jones was incredibly weak. He relied on drugs to boost his strength, and he wasn't a true leader.

It was ridiculous to think that Hody Jones wanted to rule over humans.

The fish-men thugs he gathered were dissatisfied with the mermaid kingdom and felt that the mermaid king was too timid. They believed that the fish-men, as a superior race to humans, deserved to be in control instead of living in the depths of the sea, away from the sunlight.

But they were simply narrow-minded.

"Do you plan on defeating this new fish-man pirate group?"

Ain asked.

"No need. They'll destroy themselves soon enough."

Muchen shook his head.

He didn't know when Luffy and the others would arrive, but it would be soon. There was no need for him to intervene.

Except for that pathetic excuse for a leader, Hody Jones.

It would be a waste not to absorb the power of a strong opponent.so he wants to find someone worthy before he get another ticket .

"Let's go. There's a forest over there. Let's check it out. It's quite fascinating to have a forest underwater."

"Okay."

Ain smiled and nodded. She felt happy being able to follow Muchen wherever he went.

This experience was something she never imagined. In the past, she was always studying a d training with Zephyr or capturing pirates.

Now she was able to be with the person she liked. It was a dream come true.

Muchen and the others arrived at the center of the forest, but what he didn't expect was to encounter the mermaid princess and Luffy's group here.

Looking at the giant and cute-faced mermaid princess, Shirahoshi, with her stunning figure, Muchen felt a bit mesmerized.

She was the only one who could rival the Pirate Empress .

He had originally thought that he would leave Fish-Man Island before having a chance to meet the mermaid princess.

But now that Luffy and his crew had come, it seemed like fate had other plans. It was quite surreal to see the protagonist of the original story in person.

"Let's go meet the mermaid princess."

Muchen turned to Ain with a smile.

"Huh? The mermaid princess?"

Ain was taken aback, completely surprised that the tall and beautiful mermaid in front of her was the princess.

She had never expected this.

"Just wait for me!"

Ain quickly regained her composure and followed Muchen.

"Someone's coming."

Luffy turned to look at Muchen and Ain and informed Shirahoshi.

"Oh? Who is it?"

Shirahoshi turned around with curiosity on her face.
