Chapter 2

In the turbulent seas, there was a ship chasing another ship.

The ship that was being chased was a pirate ship with a bomb on its flag and the other one was a marine ship.

They were exchanging cannonballs between each other relentlessly.

As the marine ship got closer to the pirate ship, both of the ships ran out of cannonballs.

There were some casualties for the marines but the pirate's ship was damaged too.

As the two ships were less than 15 meters, Gil suddenly jumped off the marine ship, straight towards the pirates.

The force behind the jump was incredible, as the floor where his feet used to be cracked a little.

*THUMP*

As Gil landed on the pirate ship, the pirates looked at him with surprise.

One pirate however had a smile on his face, he was wearing a red bandana on his head and he was tall and muscular with a sword at his hip.

The pirate said loud enough for Gil to hear him. "Did you come here to rush to your death?

You don't even have a weapon.

Kill him!"

As soon as he said that, all the pirates charged at him.

The first pirate that charged at him swung his sword vertically towards his head.

Gil just dodged to the side with a smile and said. "Weapons aren't needed when fighting you maggots."

*BAM* *CRACK*

After he said that, he punched the surprised attacker in the chin with his left hand from the side, breaking the man's jaw in one blow.

The disturbing sound of someone's bones breaking resounded in the whole ship, making the pirates halt for a second.

Seeing that, the man with the red bandana, the captain, yelled. "What are you fuckers doing?

He's just one man."

And just like that, the rest of the pirates charged towards him.

Gil said nothing anymore as he fixed the glasses on his face with a smile.

Pirates came from all sides as they swung their swords diagonally, aiming to close of his route of escape.

*CLANG*

Gil just lightly jumped as their swords entangled each other.

*BAM*

While in the air, he kicked a pirated in the mouth, sending him flying backwards.

When he landed where the other pirate was before kicking him, another sword came towards him.

GIl slapped the sword to the side and punched the pirate in the face.

The rest of the battle continued like this until all of the pirates were heavily injured or dead except the captain and vice captain.

The two had beads of sweat going down their forehead and they became a little scared for their lives.

The opponent was just too strong for them.

Gil yawned and walked towards the two pirates while saying. "What are you guys doing?

Not going to help your comrades...?"

His expression changed from a bored one to a sadistic one as he said. "It's not like it'll make any difference though."

The captain was enraged as he unsheathed his sword and said. "This is a graded blade!

It can cut through steel easily, you should be honored to die by it!"

After he said that he charged together with his vice-captain towards Gil who had his hands in his pockets.

As the captain got closer, Gil said with a smirk. "Oh so scary, but what to do..."

The speed and strength at which the two attacked together was much greater than the rest of the pirates, but Gil still dodged their first attack easily.

"A sword of that quality is useless if it can't hit it's opponent."

*BAM* *BAM*

He got behind them with insane speed, grabbed both of their heads with inhuman strength and slammed them into the ground.

He held both of their heads down there as they struggled to get up.

The grip on their heads got stronger and Gil said. "Well, it was fun to play with you guys.

But it ends here."

The pirates felt fear seep into their hearts as the last thing they saw was the smile that was threatening to split Gil's face in two.

*CRUNCH* *CRUNCH*

He broke both of their skulls with his insane grip strength, killing them almost instantly.

He wiped his hands filled with blood and brain matter on their clothes and said. "Ew, this stuff is disgusting."

Gil grabbed the graded sword and said. "I'll take this, it should fetch some high price if it really is graded."

He looked at the blade with a unusual serious expression while holding it in his hand and thought. 'It's got a certain weight to it, and it doesn't seem so brittle.'

With the same serious expression, he went towards the pillar that was holding the ship's flag and put the sword in a drawing position.

His expression got even more serious as he "unsheathed" the sword and swung it towards the pillar with insane speed.

After he was done, he put the sword over his shoulder and said while looking at the pillar that was falling on the front of the ship.

*BOOM*

"That's one sharp sword."

When using a sword he was unusually serious, like he had a certain respect for them.

He slicked his hair back with his free hand and said while looking at the Lieutenant. "475.000 bellies for both of them, I'll be waiting for the money and news about my new post."

The Lieutenant nodded and ordered the other marines to finish the pirates off for good and take pictures of their corpses.

A marine on the boat who saw Gil come back bowed a little and handed him a cigarette.

Gil took the cigarette with one hand and put it in his mouth.

The marine light his cigarette and then bowed once again and said.

"Thank you for your hard work!"

Gil smiled, touched the young marine on the shoulder and said. "It's nothing, just doing my job."

This scene looked more like a gangster welcoming his superior back than something the marines would do.

But this just showed how special Gil was to these low-ranked marines.

By catching pirates that were out of their league, they would get bonuses and special benefits.

And this is all because of Gil.

So even though the Lieutenant was the highest rank present here, everyone had more respect for Gil.

In this world, strength was the solution and only truth.
