With a sudden jolt, I increased in both speed and strength as our blades collided once more. Sparks flashed before my eyes for the briefest of moments as Bluejam was forced back. Catching him while he was off balance I gathered a ball of water into my palm before gripping my sword handle with both hands.
The water cascaded up the length of the blade, gushing out in a raging torrent, I swung the aqua blade and it collided with his sword once more. But there were no sparks this time. The high speed water running along the length of the blade combined with my speed and strength allowed me to cleave through his steel sword like it wasn't even there.
Judging by the look on his face he must have been expecting me to face him with pure swordsmanship to the end. Meaning he was completely caught off guard by the unexpected attack and the increase in length and cutting power of my self named aqua-blade.
Bluejam stepped back in fear, gripping the hilt of his broken sword as I took another step towards him. Swinging out once more, I cut the remainder of his sword in half, causing him to drop the useless hilt and back away in fear.
Holding my hand out in front of me, I focused my mind, gathering a much larger amount of water next to my head. With a flick of my wrist the blowing ball sized orb rocketed forward, striking Bluejam head one and knocking him nearly a dozen feet back. He skipped over the earth like a flat rock on a still pond.
But I wasn't done. The attack hadn't ended yet. Even as he struggled to his feet, the water from the orb began to flow up his body, coiling around his leads and climbing up his waist, before converging on his head.
"What the hell?! What are you trying to do now you stupid brat?! I swear I'll kill you!!" Bluejam roared pathetically as blood flowed him from all the wounds I inflicted, mixing with the water and creating an eerie scene.
Bluejam desperately clawed at the streams of water climbing up his torso, but it was to no avail.
He struggled in vain as I controlled the thin currents to course around his limbs like snakes. He was helpless, completely unable to stop their advance even slightly as they broke apart and reformed at his touch. Water has no solid form after all and therefore he had nothing to grab onto. All he could do was watch in horror as the clear liquid slowly gathered, surrounding his head in a dense orb.
Within moments his vision blurred and he began to suffocate. I slowly forced the water flowing around his head down his throat and up his nose, pouring it into his lungs. Effectively drowning him on land.
I continued to stare into his hate filled eyes, even as panic and fear gripped him and the realization dawned on him that he was really going to die. It took longer than I thought it would, but after a minute he stopped moving, his body no longer trashing or twitching about violently. None of the desperate clawing at his neck could be seen.
Instead he was just there, eyes listless and body limp. His arms dangling like wet noodles at his sides. Without wasting another breath, I dispersed the water holding him up. Bluejam's body slid lifelessly into the mud, never to rise again.
Raising my hand I opened my palm, calling my trident to my side, it flew through the air and soared toward me and a rapid pace. I sheathed my scimitar just before swinging it from mid air. I stood there a moment standing their looking down on his body with my weapon in hand.
I felt nothing. Not regret, or remorse, not even pity. This man agreed to the Nobles deal, to scatter barrels of oil and gunpowder around the Grey Terminal. He intended to burn everyone and everything to the ground all for the chance to raise his status in life and remove his bounty. He got what he deserved.
