5.Tears

After arriving on the ship he took the little girl to his cabin and gently placed her on his bed.

"look after her.." Arthur said to robin and started to walk out of the cabin.

"Where are you going art?" Robin asked. he stopped for a moment, but without turning back he just said. "to bury the villagers" and walked out of the cabin. robin just gazed at his fading back and sighed and sat beside the sleeping girl.

When he came back to the ship after burying the villagers sun had already set, sky was filled with numerous twinkling stars. sky was clear of any clouds making the view more stunning.

Arthur sat on the upper deck gazing at the stars. His hairs were swaying gently in the wind.... Gentle waves were rocking the ship back and forth.... The scene looked very harmonious but Arthurs eyes looked lost.

'step' 'step' 'step'

Robin walked out of the cabin and sat beside Arthur enjoying the gentle wind. she didn't talk, she knew he will talk to her but he needed time. Few minutes later Arthur spoke.

"Did you know robin just few weeks ago I was just a naive little kid who just wanted to get pampered by his grandma. My grandma was my whole world. But that night my whole world shattered like glass." Arthur took a deep breath to stop the raging emotions which were trying to overwhelm him.

"That night grandma stumbled inside the hut with a big hole in her chest. I Instantly shot towards her screaming her name. seeing her bloodied figure my world was crumbling like sand castle. Do you know what were her last words.. she said... Arthur.. Don't be picky.. Eat lots and grow strong. Make sure that you bathe every day and stay warm.. Also.. Don't stay up late.. You need lots of sleep. And make friends.. You don't need a lot of friends.. Just a few.. Ones you can really, really trust. Remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. So don't get too depressed if you can't do something well.... Arthur, from now on, you're going to face lots of pain and hardship... But be true to yourself.. Have a dream and have the confidence to make that dream come true.. There's so much.. Oh, so much more that I want to pass on to you..... I wish I could stay with you longer....And remember you will always be my precious treasure.....

I will always love you" Tears started to form in a Arthurs eyes when he recalled her gentle and soothing smile when she said those words. but he didn't stop, today he wanted to let out everything.

"I held her in these very hands gazing at her gentle smile whole night, expecting her to wake up and hug me and tell me that its alright, everything is gonna be okay...but...she never did...I was devasted, I-I felt truly alone robin.... I don't want any child to feel the things that I felt that night. That's why I want to change this world. I know it won't be easy but I will try or die trying... so will you please help me robin?" Arthur turned towards her with his still teary eyes.

Robin suddenly pulled him in her embrace and hugged him tight. "You are not alone anymore art, you called me family right, so it doesn't matter what you want to do family always sticks together...right kas?" robin said.

"Yes master 'SOB' 'SOB' I will cut everyone to pieces who blocks your path 'SOB'. " kas said while wailing loudly.

'Grandma I finally found the friends that you wanted me to find...the friends who I can really really trust...not only friends but family...So you can rest easy now...I won't be lonely anymore...but I will still missed you a lot.' Arthur further pushed his face in robin's bosom and hugged her tightly.

Arthur woke up next morning feeling something heavy on his chest. When he opened his eyes he saw robin using him as hug pillow. He gently smiled seeing her sleeping face. he slowly pushed her off of him and got up from the bed.

"Good morning master~" kas greeted him with enthusiasm.

"Good morning kas..." Arthur greeted her.

"Did that little girl wake up?" Arthur asked.

"No master she is still sleeping." kas said.

"Hmm.. let her sleep then. lets go we should train a bit." Arthur said, as he picked up kas from the bedside.

"Master I can boost your power again. But not by much. Those marine extras were weak." kas said, clear disdain evident in her voice.

"Oh really... Then what are you waiting for do it." Arthur said after arriving on the deck.

"Then brace yourself master I am starting..." Just after kas finished speaking. Arthur felt like he was standing in the middle lava filled bathtub. His every cell was bursting with energy. After a while everything came stop.

" 'HUFF' 'HUFF' That was intense. " Arthur was sweating bullets.

"How are you feeling master?" kas asked in anticipation.

Arthur started to inspect himself repeatedly clenching and unclenching his fist. He noticed that his muscles looked little bit more compact and defined. "I feel stronger...and taller as well." Arthur muttered

"You are right master. You were 5 feet 3 before, now you are 5 feet 6." kas added.

"But I am still shorter than robin..." Arthur grumbled.

"Don't worry master you are still a 10 years old. you still have lots of room to grow. and I think by your next boost you will easily surpass robin in height." kas consoled with gentle tone.

"I hope so..." Arthur said.

Arthur started to train to get used to his increased strength.

"Good morning.." Robin said.

"Good morning.." Arthur said as he stopped his training.

"Good morning robin~" kas said.

"Hmm? Have you grown taller art?" Robin tilted her head in confusion.

"Yep.. I am 5 feet 6 now.." Arthur replied, while kas turned back in the form locket.

"How..?" Robin asked in confusion.

"Kas can boost my strength as more enemies I kill." kas explained.

"lets go. That little girl should have woken up by now." Arthur walked towards his cabin and robin followed after.
