Gray was in Garp's room with a swollen face, appealing with him to have a Devil fruit. Gray desired sweet revenge and needed to get out of here after the conflict with whitebeard pirates that would begin in a few months.

Grap poked his nose and cleaned it with his pinky finger.

"What are you thinking with such a solemn expression?"

Gray was trying to think of ways to persuade Garp but couldn't come up with almost anything.

"If you have the status to obtain a devil fruit of your choice, then do so for me."

"Why would I do something like that?" Garp has no intention helping Gray.

Gray gritted his teeth.' He didn't even give it a thought.'

"What do you want in exchange for the devil fruit?"

"I'll repay it twice in the future."

"What could a brat possibly accomplish for me now or in the future?"

"What could a brat possibly accomplish for me now or in the future?" Garp remained uninterested.

Gray grinned. He realized it would take a lot of work to get Garp interested in such a deal, and moreover convincing him to accept it would be problematic.

"If I possessed Devil fruit, I could eliminate New World pirates and leave this camp sooner."

Grap was still unmoved with finger still in his nose, not even reacting to Gray's words.

"I'm aware that you marines have trust issues with me."

"If I obtain that devil fruit, I will owe you great debt, and until I repay it, I will not leave the Marines and perform jobs for marines."

Garp took his finger out of his nose and appeared more interested this time.

"You will leave once you have paid off the debt. Isn't that what you're saying?" "

Gray didn't want for it to sound that way, but Garp twisted the statement's meaning.

"I'm saying you'd never accept that the debt had been paid, and then I'd always be a marine forever, and I'd have nothing to lose because I'm planning to serve justice through marine."

Gray's statements this time impressed Grap. He acted a little interested.

The marines were going to give him his choice of devil fruit, but this way was better and would secure his loyalty towards the marines.

"Have you decided on the devil fruit yet?"

Gray had no idea as all of the series' epic devil fruits were with the emporors or their crewmates.

"I'll have to check the Devil's Fruit encyclopedia."

Grap indicated the Devil Fruit encyclopedia in his chamber with his finger.

Gray took the book, opened it, placed it on the table, and began turning the pages while Garp evaluated his options.

Gray ignored paramecia, logia, and conventional zoans, instead focusing on mythical zoans.

"Why did you skip all of those, Brat? Mythical zoans are the rarest and would need a lot of effort to obtain."

Gray was indifferent to those words. "With Kaido's physique, it would be a waste not to choose a mythical zoan."

Garp considered it, and it all made sense to go with Mythical Zoan. "However, they are quite difficult to obtain."

Gray believed that world governments would have two or more of them. It would be surprising not to have one after governing the world for so long.

Gray was preoccupied with the fruits. They were few in number, but each was legendary and powerful in their own right.

"How many does the world's government have with them?"

"If I had to guess, I'd say one or two at most."

Garp recognized one of the devil fruits they possessed as he had obtained in the past as a result of a conflict between Rocks pirates.

Gray turned the page of the encyclopedia and pointed to the devil fruit.

"It's the only devil fruit I'm known in their possessing."

Gray studied the description of the devil fruit.

The Tatsu Tatsu no Mi, Model: Fire Dragon, is a Mythical Zoan type of Devil Fruit, in which the user is able to transform into a hybrid or full version of a Fire Dragon. Tatsu, meaning "dragon",

Caraxes is a purple dragon that breathes purple flames.

Craxes flames have special properties; they are hotter than normal flames and are poisonous.

POWER GRANTED

-The power to transform into a dragon or dragon hybrid, as well as improved natural armor, claw attacks, and the ability to breathe purple fire.

-Dragon form transforms the user into a western Purple Dragon capable of breathing Purple flames with venomous properties.

-Dragon Hybrid allows the player to transform into a hybrid Western dragon with separate control over fire and poison.

-The user board is coated in purple dragon dragon scales.

-The user's right side is light red with red markings, representing fire and assault power. Right side of hand is transformed into dragon's claw.

-The left side of the user is blue and shiny, like metal, representing the dragon's venom and defense. Whole body is covered with blue metal like scales that have high defence.

-The eyes of one of the users One becomes crimson, while the other becomes blue.

-The user's head has a horn sprout.

-The coiling of scales, producing claws, expands the user's hand size.

-Because a blend of red and blue produces purple, the user's color combinations are predominantly blue and red.

-User gains two blue wings.

Gray read the description and was impressed.

'Kaido is an eastern dragon, and this will give me western dragon powers; not a bad deal,'

Gray had nothing to complain about because it was one of the best Zoan Devil fruits.

'I'll need a paramecia kind in the future, but I can't say when.'

"I'll take it as it matches my future goals."

Garp had to go to the headquarters to obtain the devil fruit. He had obtained it, thus they had no right to deny him access to it.

"Come with me, brat."

Garp was bringing Gray to the headquarters so he could meet Sengoku. He needed to inform Sengo to fetch him the fruit.

Gray couldn't wait to get his hands on that fruit. He would get a new sphere of potential as a result of all this.

'This gets my heart pounding.'

Gray was accompanied by Garp into Sengoku's office.

Garp sat on the sofa with his usual crackers. Gray held the lower post. He was still standing there.

"Sengoku, I want the devil fruit I obtained after fighting Rocks. Consider it a request for me based on my achievements."

*Cough*

Sengoku was on the verge of a heart attack after Garp's statements. Garp never bothered to consume the fruit when he was younger.

"What's the matter with you? Don't you think that it's a little late to eat the fruit?"

Garp started eating his crackers while ignoring Sengoku's comments and pointing towards Gray.

"It's intended for him. I enjoy swimming."

Sengoku had even more reason to not give him the Devil fruit. Gray was still untrustworthy in Sengoku's eyes, and he needed to be verified before granting him such power.

"It will be difficult. He is still untrustworthy, and the fruit is a mythical zoan."

While Sengoku was reasoning, Garp completed a packet of crackers. He didn't listen to a word Sengoku uttered.

"How long will it take to get over here?"

Sengoku still refused to hand over the fruit. Gray received a cold stare from him.

Gray pretended not to notice anything and ignored Sengoku's intentions never to give him the devil fruit. Gray was unconcerned about what Sengoku thought of him.

Gray's blatant disregard for Sengoku made Garp laugh.

Garp decided to inform him of the agreement he had with him.

Sengoku thought about it this time. He still didn't want to give Gray the meal.

"What if he breaks his promise?"

"I'm going to kill him personally." Garp, in a serious tone.

Garp was rarely serious, but when he was, every single word he said was complete. Sengoku could no longer refuse him.

"You've won. I'll give the order to fetch the fruit, but if he goes rogue, you'll have to kill him with your own hands."

"Bahaha, Is that what's taking you so long? Simply bring it."

Sengoku ordered to fetch Devil fruit through Den Den Mushi. The devil fruit was serious deal and two vice-admirals were bringing them here.

'If I go before those stupid Elders, they'll devour me alive.'

Gray sat in Sengoku's office, anticipating the arrival of the Devil Fruit. He was unable to leave and had to swallow it as soon as it arrived.

Sengoku was interrogating him every second to find out what his genuine intentions were. Gray's response was completely dishonest.

Gray confidently gave him with the answers he sought. He wasn't a big enough fool to raise Sengoku's suspicions.

Gray acted the entire time like a Marine fan boy, answering Sengoku's every question and finally satisfying his Curosity.

'I would have won an Oscar if I had done such acting before.'

After six hours,

Tsuru and Momonga arrived at the headquarters carrying a treasure chest.

Sengoku, Garp, and Gray were looking at the treasure chest.

Gray was grinning. His hours of acting had already mentally exhausted him. He couldn't play any longer.

"You're thrilled, Brat. Bhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha"

'He is still a brat who can't hide his emotions, Why was I even suspicious of him?'

"We have brought what you ordered us for, reporting to the head of the admiral."

"You did a great job and put it on the table," Sengoku remarked, nodding his head.

Momonga placed the treasure box on the table and handed Sengoku the key.

Sengoku gave Garp one last look before handing him the treasure box.

"Are you certain of this, Garp?"

Garp took the box from Sebgoku and handed it to Gray. Tsuru and Momonga were watching the exchange of treasure boxes with great interest.

"I don't want to say it again."

Gray's grin widened even more once he received the chest. Gray was the center of attention in the room.

Gray used the key to open the treasure box and took out the Devil fruit.

Gray threw the chest away after retrieving the Devil fruit.

The devil fruit was shaped like a mango. It was purple with red and blue stripes in swirl patterns throughout its body.

Gray stared at the Devil fruit, wide-eyed. He was finally gaining dragon's might. How could he not be excited?

"Is this the real one?"

Gray was happy that Sengoku had not cheated on him.

Gray bit into it. It tasted terrible. 'Damn, that flavor is rough!'

Gray ate the entire fruit in three bites.

Gray had swiftly gained the dragon's devil fruit strength. He was thrilled with excitement.

"Do you want to go a round, Gramps?" with a broad grin on his face

"Do you want to ruin the headquarter?" Grap wiped his nose, a smirk on his face.

"Do you even care about that?" Gray remarked as he began to morph into a dragon.

Garp jumped up from his seat, his face lit up. "Then don't let me down, Brat."
