Start of the War

Yo! It's the start of the fighting!! I thought this chapter was gonna be longer, but fuck it cause the next two chapters after this one are pretty long. Thanks to the people who have been providing me with suggestions that get rid of my writer's block! You guys are clutch!!

The Straw Hats rode on their 'Moving Crab' towards 'Rainbase' as fast as they could.

They were surprised when a group of people appeared before them when they were about to enter the town.

They stopped about a hundred meters out of town, which was about twenty meters away from the group, and all hopped off of the 'Moving Crab'.

*SLAP*

Luffy smacked his fist into his hand after he landed. He scanned over the group before stopping on the strongest.

Luffy looked at the stoic bald man with a smirk which pissed the man off.

"You're Croc's crew, aren't you?" He asked making the man scoff before replying.

*SCOFF*

"You won't get in the way of Sir Crocodile's plan."

*SHING*

Luffy's eyes shined when the man's arms turned into a blade covered in 'Armament Haki', but pouted when Zoro appeared in front of him with his katanas already drawn and similarly covered in 'Armament Haki'.

"You take Vivi back to the capital, Luffy. We'll take care of these guys" Zoro said with a malicious smirk. Sanji used 'Shave' to appear next to him while lighting his cigarette and glaring at the cross-dressing man who's been twirling since they first saw him.

"Luffy, make sure Vivi-chan gets back home safely. Once you do, beat the hell out of that damn Croc." Sanji said making Luffy sigh.

Luffy knew if these two were able to agree on something and if that something was him needing to leave, he'd trust them and leave.

"Uhh, damn it!! Now, I gotta wait to fight!!" Luffy complained as he grabbed Vivi by the waist and put her over his shoulder.

"KYA!!!"

Luffy ignored Vivi's scream and Nami's glare as he looked at everyone else with a smile from atop the 'Moving Crab'.

"I'm counting on you guys."

*BOOM*

Luffy encouraged them before he tapped his foot on the crab's shell, making it shoot off in the direction of 'Alubarna'. The Straw Hats watched their Captain and the princess go off to stop the war and fight the Warlord before they turned back to their enemies, who were scowling at the fact the princess got away from them before they could kill her.

*SCOFF* *SHING*

The stoic bald man scoffed before the insides of his hands and fingers into blades as well as on the bottom of each of his feet, like ice skates before shooting towards the 'Moving Crab' Luffy and Vivi were on. Vivi looked back terrified, but Luffy didn't even turn his head.

"Atomic Spar!!!"

"Two-Sword Style: Rashomon!!!"

*TING*

The sound of metal colliding reverberated throughout the area as the stoic man glared at the green-haired swordsman who stopped him. He narrowed his eyes when he recognized the man as the Vice-Captain of this crew from the bounty posters Sir Crocodile showed him and the rest of the agents.

"Sorry, but you can't reach our Captain with an attack like that," Zoro said with a malicious smirk before pushing the man back to where he started. Zoro watched as the man turned back to normal before turning the insides of his fingers into blades as he unsheathed his third katana.

"Your Captain will be a nuisance if we let him get away. Move." The man said as the wind blew, showing off the kanji for '1' covering the man's chest. Zoro smirked when he saw that.

"You're #1, huh? Then, you're the strongest right?!" He asked before he turned to everyone else without waiting for a response. 

"I'll move this guy away so our fight doesn't bother you guys," Zoro said getting nods except for Sanji and Law.

"Who the hell said you could order me around, Shitty-Mosshead?" "Why the hell should I listen to you?"

Zoro's eyebrow twitched when he heard them before he just sighed.

"Whatever..." He muttered to himself as he unsheathed his third katana before he covered all three of his katanas in 'Armament Haki', prompting Mr. 1 to do the same on his finger blades. Zoro smirked when he saw that before he crouched down slightly and he flexed his biceps.

"One Gorilla, Two Gorilla"

Zoro's biceps bulged up two to three times before he shot at the bounty hunter, who had been watching silently with narrowed eyes before he placed his hands together wrist-to-wrist before similarly shooting toward Zoro.

Zoro swung his swords so that the tips met just as he reached his opponent, who simultaneously stabbed and sliced at Zoro.

"Sparking Daisy!!!"

"Three-Sword Style: Two Gorilla Slash!!!"

*TING* *BOOM*

Mr. 1's eyes widened as his attack was completely overpowered before he was thrown back a few hundred meters. The bounty hunters were looking at Zoro with shock and wariness, to which he snorted before turning to his friends.

"Beat the quick. We still have a war to stop after this." The Vice-Captain said before he disappeared in the direction he launched his opponent in.

*SIGH*

Sanji let out a sigh before he grabbed a cigarette while figuring out who to fight. He narrowed his eyes at the lady-boy who hadn't stopped twirling. 

*CLICK* *INHALE* *EXHALE*

Sanji closed his eyes and sparked his cigarette. He took a long hit and slowly exhaled before he covered his legs in 'Armament Haki' and flames. 

"Diable Jambe"

*FWOOM* *BOOM*

Sanji shot at the lady-boy, who had stopped twirling when he sensed the attack coming and similarly covered his legs in 'Armament Haki' and prepared to counter. 

"Flambage Shot!!!"

"Swan Arabesque!!!"

*BOOOM!!*

Sanji sent out a flaming kick to his opponent's side that was countered by a powerful high kick. 

Mr. 2 was surprised when he felt a burning sensation on his leg as he felt his 'Armament Haki' get overpowered. 

*BOOM*

The cross-dresser was launched a couple hundred meters to the left with Sanji following right after him. He wanted to spend the least amount of time possible with the lady-boy. 

*Tsk*

Law clicked his teeth when he saw them drag their opponents away. As he scanned who was left, he raised an eyebrow at the man who seemed to want to be anywhere but here. Law was cut off from taking action as he heard Nami shout. 

"Aren't you the guy Luffy beat up on 'Little Garden'?! Mr. 3, right?!" She shouted out, making Usopp look at the man before breaking out in laughter. 

"Hahahaha!! It is him!! Law, this guy has some kind of wax devil fruit. His wax was strong enough to hold down Dorry and Brogy for a bit." Usopp explained to the doctor who was very confused until he heard the names of his old giant teachers. 

Law narrowed his eyes at the man, who was glaring daggers at the two who outed him. Law thought this guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Guess joining this crew has made him dumber than before. 

*SNORT*

Law snorted in amusement at the thought before he held his hand out, making Mr. 3 tense.

"Room" 

Mr. 3 tensed as he saw a blue bubble form and spread from the man's hand, realizing his opponent was also a devil fruit user.

Law smirked at the wariness and borderline fear he could see and sense from the man. His smirk widened as he put his index and middle fingers up and flicked them.

"It's already too late. Shambles."

The two disappeared with a few grains of sand appearing in their places, leaving Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and Bepo to fight the remaining five enemies. 

Usopp took a deep breath before he looked at Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine, the bounty hunters Luffy and Zoro beat up on 'Whiskey Peak', who both raised an eyebrow at him. 

"I'll take those two on." He said, making the three of his friends look at him worried. He just smiled at them. 

"Don't worry about me. I've got a few tricks to help me out, though it would be nice if you guys finish your fight quick and come help." He said as he strapped on his goggles and grabbed his 'Kabuto' off of his back. 

He reached into his ammo pouch and pulled out four pellets. He loaded two of them into his slingshot and pulled it back.

"Dual Heaven Dragon Star!!!"

*ZIZIZIZ*

Two dragons of lightning shot at the two bounty hunters, forcing them to dodge by jumping into the air with 'Moon-Walk'.

Usopp smirked when he saw them do that as he loaded his two other pellets and pulled his slingshot back again.

Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentine were a bit surprised this guy who seemed weak was able to create an attack like that.

They were even more surprised when Usopp also used 'Moon-Walk' to come up to them and fire at them when he got about five meters away from them.

"Dual Heaven Dragon Star!!!

The two went further up into the air to dodge the repeated attack and Usopp followed them as he grabbed more ammo.

Bepo watched Usopp go before he looked at the mole lady and the big fat man. He looked down at Chopper, who looked up at him with a serious gaze.

They both nodded at each other before looking back at the two Bepo looked at before.

"Nami, we'll deal with these two. You try and beat that lady." Chopper said without looking away from the mole lady, who had long since prepared herself when she saw how her comrades were separated.

The big guy hadn't even realized they were fighting yet, so Bepo decided to try and catch him off guard. He covered his right hand and claws in 'Armament Haki' as well as his 'Electro' before he used 'Shave' to appear behind the man, surprising the mole woman with his speed.

The woman was able to react to his speed, but not fast enough to block the attack. The man, however, had no chance to react.

"Eleclaw!!!"

*ZIZIZIZ* *TING*

Bepo swiped his electrified claws on the man's back, sending him flying straight at Nami and Chopper, who each took a step to the side.

Before Bepo left to fight his battle, he sensed that the mole woman was underground going directly towards the man still in the air.

He also felt his claws almost break when he hit the man. It also let off the sound of metal colliding, confirming what Bepo thought he saw and sensed. He looked at Chopper, who was looking around for the mole woman.

"Chopper, she went underground towards the guy I just hit!! The guy used some strong 'Armament Haki' when I hit him, and I'm pretty sure the mole woman is using 'Observation Haki'!!" Bepo shouted out, making Chopper nod before they both disappeared in that direction.

Nami grimaced when she realized she was the only one left to face this slim young woman with curly dark-blue hair, and pale skin. She could tell this would easily be the hardest fight of her life.

The woman grinned in amusement as Nami took out her 'Perfected Clima-Tact' and assembled it.

"Looks like your friends have abandoned you, little girl." Nami scowled when she heard the woman.

"Just shut up and fight, bitch."

Luffy and Vivi were silently riding the 'Moving Crab' as fast as it could go. Vivi was looking back where they came from worriedly until she felt Luffy's hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see him smiling at her.

"I'm the Captain, why are you more worried about my crew than me?" Luffy asked, making Vivi smile back at him before looking back at where they came from again.

"I can't help it. You guys have helped me out so much. I don't think I'll ever be able to pay you back." She said in gratitude, getting a laugh out of Luffy.

"Shishishishi!! Don't worry, Vivi, you're my friend. Just give me some meat when we're done." He said making her laugh. Before either could say anything else, Luffy looked to their right with narrowed eyes.

Vivi followed his line of sight and paled when she saw a golden hook attached to sand heading straight for her with two people in the distance. Luffy just smiled at her.

"I guess this is my stop. See you in 'Alubarna'!!" Luffy said before grabbing the hook just before it hit her and pulling on it until it started pulling back.

Vivi knew she couldn't stop him or anyone else from fighting, but she still hated seeing her friends ne in danger. She sent Luffy a pleading look that made him stop and look back.

"Promise me you won't die." She said with her voice almost breaking. Luffy smiled softly at her and put his free hand on his straw hat, which was still on Vivi's head.

"I promise I won't die. Keep that till I come back."

Vivi could only watch him fly towards the two people in the distance. She let herself watch his back for a few seconds before she made sure the straw hat was secure and tapped the 'Moving Crab' twice.

"Please speed up!! I need to get there as fast as possible!!" She shouted out, making the crab shoot out faster than she could remember ever going.

*BOOM*

Once she stabilized herself and got used to the new speed, Vivi looked ahead of her with a determined glint in her eye.

'I'll stop this war!! Even if it's already started, even if it's impossible, I'll still stop it!!'
