Chapter 3

Tanzo became a Biologist after their demand increased in every country with the increase in diseases and discovery of new bacteria and viruses. He was working on a new virus that they discovered somewhere in the world and trying to figure out vaccines for it. He wanted to revolutionize the world and discover something that will be recorded in history, but ended up dying in his lab, electrocuted by an oven.

Tanzo was genuinely amazed by how smart Vegapunk is. "He found out the Lineage factor, which is the DNA of the body and he also found out how it changes when someone eats a devil fruit. I want to meet this man." Tanzo said and read all the books and research papers he had.

Tanzo found out new things about this world and was eager to try out the hypothesis that Vegapunk had, related to devil fruit. 'I will work on it when I have a ship of my own with a laboratory.' Tanzo thought. These 10 days, he didn't just sit and read. He also tested out his devil fruit powers and practiced the Six powers. He had mastered 5 and he only had to master Geppo. It is where the user kicks the ground and the air rapidly to walk in air.

It wasn't that he completely didn't know Geppo. He just needed a lot of energy to stay in the air and he couldn't fight while performing Geppo. Even though he didn't learn to use his power completely, he figured out how to fly and use Heat Breath. Kaido still had a lot of abilities which he wanted to learn, but decided to do that when he returned to the Navy.

Tanzo was confident he could get back into the Navy, because Tanzo spent his whole life on the Marine headquarters and everyone in the base has seen him grow up from a baby. He had faith that they would believe him.

Tanzo is now on his boat, with his Den Den Mushi ringing in his room. It was the Navy calling him to warn him that he should stop his ship and surrender before they start shooting at him. They made this call only because the ship didn't have a pirate flag. Bunzio didn't identify himself as a pirate.

When Tanzo was far enough from the base, he transformed into his dragon form. He turned into a huge dragon with pink scales and skin. He was bigger than the ship and was as big as a village or a small town. He flew to the skies and headed towards the base.

The stormy weather helped him get closer to the base without getting noticed, as he flew above the black clouds. Tanzo needed to get to the base without getting caught. If he gets caught, he won't have a chance to prove himself.

When Tanzo was above the base, he undid his transformation. Tanzo was falling at incredible speeds and he used Geppo to slow down the speed at which he was falling. Although he managed to slow down significantly, he was still falling down fast.

Tanzo looked at the base, searching for a good spot to crash. He didn't want to alert a lot of people, but if he lands far from the base, it will take a lot of time to infiltrate the base. After thinking for a few seconds, he decided to crash into a hut near the main office. It looked like an old wooden barn, with only two people guarding it.

Tanzo moved in the direction of the hut and continued to slow down so he could crash without attracting a lot of attention. It didn't take long for him to crash into the hut, breaking a few wooden objects. At the time of impact, Tanzo activated his Tekkai to harden his body. This reduced the impact on his body significantly.

Hearing the sound from inside, the two guards immediately came inside and pointed their guns at Tanzo. "Who are you? How did you get he.." a guard shouted, but Tanzo didn't want more people coming after him, so he immediately vanished from that place using soru, where he moved with vanishing speeds. He appeared behind the two guards and immediately knocked them out with a blow to their heads.

"I will apologize to you when you wake up." Tanzo said to them and took the clothes of one of the guards. He dressed up as a marine and immediately ran out of the hut, which was a storage unit for food. "I have approximately 10 minutes before they notice the missing guards and start searching for me. I have to get to the radio room before that." Tanzo said to himself as he entered the main office.

He can't use Soru inside the office, because it is being monitored. Tanzo just walked around, looking for the radio room. He walked around until he found someone walking through the corridor. Tanzo stopped him and asked "It looks like I am lost. I need to deliver a message to someone near the radio room..Can you help me?"

"You just have to go straight, take a left and then take the third right." He replied and Tanzo thanked him before leaving. When Tanzo was walking away, the Marine from before called him and asked "Wait there. I have never seen you before. Who are you?"

"I was sent here from the Marine headquarters after an incident." Tanzo replied. The Marine immediately smiled, put his hand on Tanzo's shoulder and said "Oh! A new comrade to our G-5 base. I guess we will have a blast with today's welcome party. Get ready to entertain your seniors."

"Sure, I will meet you after I am done with my task." Tanzo said and headed towards the radio room. When he got there, he opened the door. There was only one person in the room, who was in his 30s. The look on his face was the same as the one kids have when they are grounded. It looked like he completely hated it there in the radio room.

He immediately turned to Tanzo when the door opened. "Who are yo....Wait! I know you! You are Tanzo. What are you doing here?" the Marine said. Tanzo then said "Calm down. I just need to talk to the people in the Marine headquarters. I was framed by Bunzio after he captured me. He hired someone with a devil fruit to impersonate me."

After listening to Tanzo, the Marine obviously wasn't completely convinced, but he relaxed a little. "Explain completely. If it makes sense, I will not capture you." the Marine said and just when Tanzo was about to start, an emergency alarm rang throughout the base and an announcement was made. "Intruder! Intruder! Target has blue hair and is dressed as a marine."

When the marine heard that, he immediately backed off, picked up his gun, pointed it at Tanzo and said "I knew I shouldn't have believed you. Why were you trying to contact the Marine headquarters?"

Tanzo replied "You have to trust me. I sneaked into the base because I am already a criminal and if I were to surrender, I can't prove my innocence." but the Marine didn't believe Tanzo. He said "Do you ever tell the truth? At least once in your life, don't lie. You have lived a fake life in the Marine headquarters as a marine. I will give you one last chance. Tell me the truth behind this act, or you will die."

"I am telling the truth." Tanzo replied. "Tch...No wonder she killed herself. If I had a son like you,.I would have killed myself too." the Marine said. "What are you talking about?" Tanzo asked and the marine replied "Don't you know this. After you betrayed the Navy, your mother and your sister took their own life from humiliation. What else did you expect when you left your family alone in the Marine headquarters after you betrayed the Navy. I hope no one has a son like you."

Tanzo's head went blank when he heard that. He was eager to meet a family because it was a foreign emotion to him in his previous life. Tanzo didn't know who was the source of rage whether it was Tanzo or the earthling, but he was completely filled with rage.

He had little control over his emotions. The Marine looked at Tanzo's skin turning pink, his face changed and grew. He was shivering with fear while Tanzo kept growing in size and growing dragon parts. This is not something that should happen, because in the show, Momonosuke immediately turned into a dragon, without morphing into one.

The other marines in the G-5 base rushed towards the radio room. They might have met the one who gave Tanzo the directions of the radio room. It didn't take long before Tanzo grew huge, breaking the walls of the office and destroying almost half of the base. When Tanzo was in his complete dragon form, he roared out loud, audible to the whole base. A few marines were shivering as they pointed their guns at Tanzo. A Marine shouted "That's a dragon. That's a dragon. Isn't that Kaido's devil fruit power. Why is it pink? What is happening?"

Then, a man with black hair, beard, sunglasses and a knee length trench coat. He had a piece of steak stuck to his cheek. A marine ran to him, saluted and said "Commander Vergo. Thank God you are here. We have a weird situation here. There is a dragon which looks like Kaido, but is different in color and the user is believed to be Tanzo, a criminal who betrayed the Navy recently. The radio room is destroyed, so we can't contact any base for help."

Vergo just nodded and looked at Tanzo, who kept roaring in the sky. His roars brought thunder clouds above the base and it started raining down thunder bolts. Tanzo also wasn't idle. He opened his mouth and took a deep breath. He then released a fire breath at the base.

There was destruction and chaos everywhere. Vergo however didn't do anything and just let Tanzo go on a rampage. G-5 base, which was known for having the most troublesome and cruel marines in all of the Navy, were running for their lives helplessly. A marine shouted "Commander Vergo, please do something. We will all be wiped out at this rate."

"I was analysing his fight pattern. It is time to capture this criminal." Vergo said and threw away his trench coat and his shirt. A marine brought him a bamboo pole. Vergo looked at Tanzo and said "Need to deal with the potential threat as soon as possible."

Vergo immediately jumped at Tanzo with his bamboo stick and his upper torso covered in haki. Of course, no one knew that and Tanzo wasn't experienced enough to sense haki. Not that he could in his current state. Vergo swung his armament haki infused bamboo stick at Tanzo, aiming at his chest.

Just the sheer force from the attack was enough to move Tanzo back, but he didn't take any significant damage. The devil fruit increases his durability and his strength. Tanzo didn't spare any moment and immediately whipped Vergo with his tail.

Vergo managed to cross his arms in front of him, to block the attack. When the attack hit him, he was sent flying into the office, through many walls. Tanzo continued to rain down thunder bolts from the sky. He didn't know how he was doing it, but his body was just reacting to his rage. Meanwhile, Tanzo was completely focused on Vergo, because his senses were screaming at him, telling that Vergo was a danger to him.

Tanzo took a deep breath, but this time, he didn't release a heat breath instead, he launched a fire ball everywhere. It was similar to making smoke rings for Tanzo. The main office on the base started falling on Vergo. Tanzo then released a heat breath at him, completely destroying all the debris on Vergo. Vergo took the attack head on, unable to move from the injuries from before. When the debris cleared from Vergo, Tanzo used his tail to deliver the finishing blow, slamming it on him.

The other surviving marines looked in shock at the complete one sided annihilation and massacre caused by a dragon. They all understood why Kaido was one of the four emperors of the sea. Tanzo was capable of this much destruction because of the devil fruit and his training. In the show, Momonosuke was able to bite Kaido and injure him. This was when his body just matured into that of an adult while he had no prior training. Tanzo was someone who trained in the Six powers, making him a superhuman. The devil fruit increased his power more than Momonosuke from the show.

Tanzo then flew to the barn he crashed into at the beginning and took all the food they had. He then flew to the sky, roared for the last time and flew away.
