[The wisher has successfully accepted the summoned character. This wish is now complete.]
[Choose one of the following three abilities:]
While Aqua was still tangled up with Meowth, a familiar trio of options slowly appeared next to Zyhark as the wishing well's light flared up.
Upon seeing the descriptions, Zyhark's eyes lit up.
[Dragon's Eye: Enhances physical fitness, converts strength into a high-density green airflow to augment oneself, achieving extreme explosive impact.]
[Cliff's Edge Sword: Enhances physical fitness, channels subterranean energy, and releases a lightning-fast pillar of magma filled with explosive energy.]
[Origin Wave: Enhances physical fitness, improves affinity with water, capable of summoning a highly lethal high-pressure water cannon.]
Compared to the somewhat tricky options before, these three seemed genuinely promising.
Not only could they enhance physical fitness, but they also offered powerful offensive capabilities!
As such, after a brief moment of excitement, Zyhark found himself in a difficult dilemma.
If possible, he wanted all of them! Recalling Aqua's forceful, god-level tactic, he decided to adopt the Goddess of Foolishness's approach, casting aside his pride for a chance at power.
For power, what's a little pride worth? It's worth a shot—maybe turn a bike into a motorcycle?
After some indescribably sloppy maneuvers, Zyhark unexpectedly reaped an unforeseen reward:
'This guy, who looks like a team leader, also seems quite unserious. Did I board a pirate ship, meow?'
Indeed, he managed to capture Meowth's skeptical gaze...
The wishing well, of course, gave no response, and the three options quietly hovered in place.
That Goddess of Foolishness has truly done me no small harm! After silently despising Aqua, Zyhark collected his disheartened spirits and methodically analyzed the characteristics of the three abilities.
Compared to the other two, Dragon's Eye was more geared towards single-target burst attacks, which somewhat overlapped with his current high-speed movement abilities.
If used in conjunction with gravity from a high altitude, its power could probably increase significantly.
Unfortunately, he did not yet possess the ability to fly.
Facing enemies like the Krieg pirate crew, with their large numbers, could easily lead to a situation where his stamina was insufficient.
Cliff's Edge Sword and Origin Wave were similar in their ability to strike over a large area, both with formidable destructive power.
They were practical for clearing mobs or restraining powerful enemies!
The only difference was the nature of their powers.
Zyhark frowned slightly, unsure why, but when he thought of Origin Wave, the image of Aqua's supremely smug expression naturally came to mind:
"Ha! You say you're not my most devoted disciple, yet you've mastered a water technique!"
"Come on, Zyhark, follow your heart, and respectfully call me 'Aqua-sama'!"
Shaking his head vigorously to dispel the image of Aqua's annoying grin, Zyhark no longer hesitated and his gaze hardened.
It's decided then, Cliff's Edge Sword!
Buzz! At the moment of decision, the option panel of the wishing well turned into a myriad of light points, slowly merging into Zyhark.
As the surging power flowed from his heart to his limbs, every cell in his body seemed to rejoice.
He could clearly feel the burden on his body lightening, and his steps became much more agile.
As his physical fitness improved across the board, his bodily defense and speed were also enhanced, elevating his overall strength to a new level.
(Approximate reference: Not counting Haki abilities, defense and speed surpass Zoro from two years ago, but strength and stamina are slightly less than Zoro from two years ago, overall slightly stronger.)
Zyhark slowly closed his eyes; aside from the obvious changes in his body, a mysterious and unique energy circulated within him.
Whoosh! As he opened his eyes, he turned into a blur, rapidly moving to the second deck of the Endless Dream.
The cold moonlight fell, and looking towards the distant ocean, it was pitch black.
The sound of waves caused by the sea breeze, coupled with that pure darkness, carried a certain oppressiveness.
The vast sea at night inspires awe.
Having sailed the seas for a long time, Zyhark had grown accustomed to this oppression.
He stretched out his arm towards the distant sea, guiding the mysterious energy within to converge in the center of his palm.
Then, he slowly clenched his fist.
"Cliff's Edge Sword!"
Boom! A bright red light suddenly lit up on the calm, dark surface of the sea.
A pillar of magma, hot and flowing, burst through the sea surface like a blade, reaching its peak before exploding, illuminating the dark ocean brightly!
"An explosion? What happened?!"
Aqua, King, and Meowth had just reached the deck, and the light from the explosion illuminated their shocked faces.
The hurricane from the explosion swept over, and the seawater that was blasted high up "whooshed" back down to the sea, causing quite a stir.
"Aqua, no need to worry, I was just blowing up some fish on a whim."
Zyhark withdrew his fist, looking at the gradually calming sea, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
Although that move had consumed a lot of his energy, the power of the Cliff's Edge Sword, when fully deployed, was even greater than he had imagined!
If he were to face Krieg's pirate crew again now, he wouldn't need to resort to tricks to summon the Sea King for help; just one Cliff's Edge Sword would inflict massive damage on them!
"Blowing up fish? So you're saying we can run over there and scoop up a lot of fish right now?!"
Hearing there was such a thing as effortless gain, Aqua immediately became interested and started stretching, preparing for some warm-up exercises.
"Are you an idiot? I was just saying that; who else but you, freak, can see things clearly in the dark?!"
Zyhark held his forehead, utterly speechless.
Indeed, trying to act cool in front of this foolish goddess was utterly pointless...
"What freak? These are the Eyes of the Goddess! Don't just assume because you're ordinary mortals, you can naturally disparage the eyes of the Goddess of Water!"
Aqua pointed at her aqua-blue pupils, correcting him with a mix of pride and annoyance.
"Actually, I can barely see in the dark, meow."
Meowth, who had somehow jumped onto the railing, showed his adorable, rounded pupils.
As a sort of feline, he could achieve night vision by altering the shape of his pupils.
Zyhark: "..."
Aqua: "..."
A single cat comment left them both speechless.
"Mr. Zyhark, like you, I have a hard time seeing clearly at night." King, standing at the back of the group, spoke solemnly.
Good thing you're here, average human King!
Zyhark was deeply moved; who said King was useless?
This clearly demonstrated his value!
"What? Such a simple thing, and you can't do it, King?" Aqua appeared genuinely surprised.
In her view, King was the closest thing to a "god" on this ship!
"Indeed, this man still looks too terrifying..."
Meowth bristled all over, constantly wary of King's fearsome face.
