One Piece: Lost in the Tutorial

In the treacherous waters of the North Blue, where pirates rule with an iron fist and mercy is a rare commodity, a young man named Blake finds himself thrust into a perilous situation. Through some unfathomable twist of fate, his consciousness is transmigrated into the frail and sickly body of a cabin boy aboard a ruthless pirate ship. The crew, far from the romanticized image of swashbuckling adventurers, embodies the darkest aspects of piracy, showing no remorse in their cruelty, and Blake is an easy target. However, just as hope begins to fade, an unexpected glimmer of salvation appears before Blake in the form of a mysterious text box: [Synchronization complete. The Tutorial System shall commence operations] Here's all you need to know before you start reading: The story begins with a more serious tone, highlighting the harsh realities of piracy and the struggles faced by Blake in his weakened state. But as the events progress, the narrative takes on the whimsical, lighthearted tone that One Piece is most known for. Similarly, the MC will start off as stern and serious due to his circumstances, but he'll grow more lighthearted and carefree as he begins to overcome the challenges presented to him one after the other. The chapters will be a blend of Blake's first-person POV and third-person POV, making it easier to tell the story from different perspectives. As for the most frequently asked question of whether this is a harem story or not, the answer is, I don't know. I go with the flow in my writing and develop the story in the way that makes the most sense to me, so if it made sense for the MC to have a harem, then he'll have a harem. If not, then he won't have a harem. The same goes for romance.

Boakeno #29

With determination setting his course, Blake surged forward, aiming his Shigan-powered finger straight at the pirate captain's chest. The digit pierced through flesh, delving deep into the pirate's torso, a testament to Blake's precision and strength.

Yet, the expected victory turned sour as the pirate captain's grin widened, his crewmates sharing in the amusement.

A flicker of unease passed over Blake as he withdrew his arm, a sinking feeling settling in his gut. His eyes widened in disbelief as the pirate's body began to knit itself back together, the wound liquefying and mending before his very eyes.

"Logia...? No, too many weird abilities for a Logia," Blake muttered, recalling the green bile and eye beam. "Must be a special Paramecia... Argh!" His words were cut short by a sharp groan as the residual liquid seared his arm, leaving behind a fiery mark.

With a swift motion, he jerked his arm to get rid of the corrosive substance, the sting a harsh reminder of his opponent's strange power.

The pirate captain's grin widened. "You're smarter than you look. I've eaten the Dero-Dero Paramecia devil fruit, making me a liquid human, capable of liquefying myself and everything I touch... but there's no need to despair..." he said, his offer of submission still on the table.

"You can still join me, you know? A simple apology will suffice," he taunted, arms outstretched in mock generosity.

Blake's scowl deepened, unimpressed by the pirate's bravado. "Dream on, fool," he retorted sharply. "You might feel invincible in the North Blue, but you're nothing in the Grand Line," he dismissed with disdain.

Despite the formidable nature of the pirate captain's devil fruit, Blake remained unfazed, finding relief in the pirate's arrogant act of revealing his devil fruit's powers and attributes. With each carless remark, Blake's mind raced, swiftly thinking of strategies to counteract the looming threat.

Electricity emerged as the primary contender as it would affect the pirate captain's liquefied form. However, the means of generating electricity in such a scenario eluded Blake, leaving him to ponder alternative solutions.

Another chink in the pirate captain's armor surfaced with his eye beam technique, a vulnerability easily blocked by solid objects or even returned to its sender with reflective surfaces.

"I see you're determined to die..." Artur Bacca, the pirate captain, remarked with a disapproving frown. "If that's the case, then I'll grant you your wish," he declared, preparing to unleash his corrosive bile.

Before he could execute his attack, a thunderous voice shattered the tension. "Artur Bacca, you bastard! I thought I told you to never set foot in this place!"

Startled, Artur Bacca's scowl deepened, his attention diverted by the unexpected interruption. "Now there's a familiar voice... consider yourself lucky, boy," he sneered at Blake. "Looks like I won't have the time to deal with you, but I wouldn't be too happy if I were you..." he declared, turning his back on Blake and striding toward the town.

"Put this fool in his place for me, Boakeno... kill him if he continues to resist," Artur Bacca commanded, his authority echoing through the air, to which a towering figure draped in the attire of a sumo wrestler, stepped forward at the pirate captain's behest.

Boakeno nodded dutifully, acknowledging his captain's orders with a solemn affirmation. "You've got it, captain," he rumbled, his voice resonating with ominous intent as he advanced toward Blake.

"Sorry, friend, but you heard the captain. Obediently surrender or be crushed by these hands of mine," Boakeno declared, assuming a formidable sumo wrestling stance, his massive frame poised for combat.

Meanwhile, the other pirates, emboldened by their leader's directive, readied their weapons, their anticipation palpable in the charged atmosphere.

Blake met their collective hostility with a nonchalant demeanor, his confidence unwavering despite the impending confrontation. "Your captain's power is a bit troublesome, but you lot won't even be enough for a warm-up," he remarked with a casual shrug, his gaze drifting toward the path Artur Bacca had taken.

"Stop wasting time and come at me already. I've got a good show waiting for me," he goaded, his tone dismissive as he looked in the town's direction, eager to finish things here and move on to watch the show.

"Ignorant fool! Meet your end!" Boakeno thundered, the sound of his hands striking his thighs resonating like a war drum as he propelled himself toward Blake with earth-shaking force.

Closing the distance in swift strides that defied his size, he unleashed a powerful palm strike aimed squarely at Blake, intent on crushing him beneath his formidable might.

Blake stood his ground, bracing himself as Boakeno's massive palm collided with his own, sending tremors through the cracked wooden floor beneath them.

"You're not bad. No wonder the captain thinks highly of you... but no one has ever managed to survive two strikes from me yet!" Boakeno boasted, aiming another powerful blow at Blake's chest. Once again, Blake intercepted the attack, meeting it head-on with his own palm.

As their hands locked in a fierce struggle, Boakeno's grin widened. "Fool! To think you'd challenge my strength!" he sneered, exerting even more force, causing the floor to buckle beneath Blake's feet.

Meanwhile, one of the pirates attempted to take advantage of the situation and cut Blake down with his sword, but Sif was quick to intercept, biting into the pirate's arm and hauling him away.

Bearing her teeth, she wasted no time in lunging at the remaining pirates, tearing into them with her sharp fangs and claws.

Chuckling at Sif's actions, Blake advanced, pushing against Boakeno's arms to close the distance between them. "You've definitely got some brute strength," Blake admitted, matching Boakeno's grin.

"I'd say you're slightly stronger than the four-armed gorillas I encountered back on the island... but I ended up hunting those filthy animals to extinction after one of them flung its shit at me!" Blake declared, then with a sudden headbutt, he shattered Boakeno's nose, producing a sickening crunch.

Boakeno's eyes rolled back, several teeth flying from his mouth as his body went limp, collapsing to the ground as soon as Blake released his grip.

"This guy's not half bad... for North Blue's standards at least," Blake remarked, flexing his sore wrist from the exertion. "Looks like you're done too... let's hurry up and get going, shall we? Wouldn't want to miss the show," he said, turning to Sif, who had just finished dealing with the last of Artur Bacca's subordinates, tossing him into the water.

Sif responded with a grumbling whine, clearly uninterested.

Blake chuckled at her reaction. "Don't be like that, girl. It should be fun," he said, picking up a broad-bladed saber from the ground before launching himself into the air with Geppo, heading towards the center of Pleasure Town.

Sif let out another dissatisfied whine but followed behind him nonetheless.

...

As Blake arrived, he found Artur Bacca and Wolf locked in a fierce exchange of words.

"You despicable scoundrel! Did burning this town down twenty years ago not satisfy your twisted desires?" Wolf's voice reverberated with righteous anger, his eyes ablaze with fury. "Have you no remorse for your wicked deeds?"

Artur Bacca sneered in response. "Remorse? Ha! What need do I have for such sentimentality? I act according to my own whims, just like any free spirit," he retorted, his tone dripping with arrogance.

Wolf's jaw clenched, but he managed to maintain his composure and refrained from chiding the pirate captain further. "There's no treasure for you here, you fool. You've already pillaged this town to the bone," he spat, his voice tinged with bitterness. "Even the lowest of bastards like you wouldn't resort to destroying an entire town out of sheer boredom!"

Artur Bacca's smirk widened at Wolf's words. "Cruelty has its rewards, but it's as you say, I'm not here for this shabby town," he admitted with a twisted grin. "I seek Lagoda's treasure, rumored to be buried here for decades... and I intend to claim it for myself!" His eyes gleamed with unbridled greed as he revealed his true motive.

Wolf stood his ground, unfazed by Artur Bacca. "If it's Lagoda's treasure that you seek, then you're too late," he declared firmly. "I've long since found the treasure and used it to fix the mess you made! It was used to rebuild this very town you once put to the torch!" His voice held a hint of defiance as he stood against the pirate captain.

Artur Bacca's face contorted with rage, his features twisting into a grotesque expression of anger. "You useless old man, always getting in my way! I'll have you pay with your life for squandering my treasure!" he roared, his hand morphing into green liquid as he lunged towards Wolf, intent on unleashing his wrath.
