Garp was the first to defeat the Bladestorm so easily.

Lucifer flapped his demon wings and turned into a black shadow, returning to the Nether.
If Lucifer insisted, he could have caught up with Garp, but killing Garp was almost impossible.
Garp was incredibly strong, and no one had the certainty of killing him.
Lucifer knew that even if all the Marines went after Garp, they would still struggle to kill him.
Lucifer's abilities were too diverse, and his ability to fly alone made him invincible.

"Hey, Garp, how's it going?"
"As expected, Lucifer declined."
Garp replied.
"Is that really the case? But that's good too. At least it won't cause too much commotion within the Marines."
Both Sengoku and Garp didn't want Lucifer to become a Shichibukai. It was just an order from the World Government, and they had to follow it. But now, Lucifer had rejected the invitation, so the government couldn't blame them.
"How's your side? Is everything alright?"
"Hahahaha, it's okay. Just a little fight with Lucifer."
"That brat is indeed very strong, but he couldn't do much."
"That's good. Come back first, and we'll discuss Lucifer in more detail."
After the battle with Garp, the Erebus continued on its course.
Ten days later, Lucifer and his crew finally arrived at Sabaody Archipelago.
Sabaody Archipelago marks the end of the first half of the Grand Line, adjacent to the Red Line.
The archipelago consists of 79 mangrove trees, with towns and facilities on each one, forming 79 small islands.
This is the only place to enter the New World, and it is very close to Marineford. In case of an emergency, the Marines can arrive immediately.
Marine has a branch on the Sabaody Archipelago, so pirates usually avoid causing trouble here.
However, the island is more dangerous than it might seem. It's actually more dangerous than many free islands in the first half of the Grand Line.
