08 Field

"Farming? Aren't you going to the sea? Why farming?" Oldman Bunta was confused by Dante after Dante told him that he wanted to open a farming field.

"I do want to go to sea. I had a long thought about it. Didn't I told you that I was thinking of sailing as a merchant? Travel the world while doing business. So I need a product to be sold. Rather than looking for it later on, I'm thinking of producing and storing it now. Besides, I have my trump card." Dante grinned.

Back in the days, when Dante decided to hand over his business to his relatives, Dante had kept his personal properties to himself. As for the reason his uncles and aunt agree, it was because his personal properties only consisted of a few barren lands and his villa. Although Dante was adamantly to keep Rouge grave as one of his properties, his uncle immediately agreed to leave one more small house for him.

As for the lands, they weren't interested to take it for him. As they are just a barren land. Even the grass didn't grow there. As for building a house? It was far from town, and far from any natural resources such as the river.

Dante's decision to open a farming field was seem very illogical.

"Here. Take a look." Dante opened a large 'blueprint' in front of Bunta.

The 'blueprint' was a large sketch to his idea to make a small canal and flow the water from the river to his land.

Seeing the canal Bunta was quiet.

"As expected. You has no talent in art. This blueprint is a disaster." Bunta spoke bluntly.

Dante lowered his head in shame.

"However the idea was excellent. This blueprint needs a massive revamp to be built. It wasn't hard to revamp it. The problem is, for these to be built, we need two to three million berry just for the material. To make it worse, we had no more money. You had spent them all on your future ship." Bunta rubbed his chin as he looked at the 'blueprint'.

Hearing Bunta words Dante grinned.

"We might not have them but someone else does. Back then, I wasn't not holding back for nothing. Maybe it's time to get our credit back."

On the same afternoon, Bunta came to the Mayor office with some files, demanding the Goodwill Corporation to pay compensation of 10 million berries for the company mistreated towards Dante. Not only did they not pay Dante yearly share of the corporation, the action of removing him had broken the law.

After a week, Bunta received an answer from the Mayor office that indicated that his request was in legal means and was approved. However, the Mayor's office had difficulty to get the money as the Corporation refused to pay.

The corporation had fallen from its heyday, to a small business corporation who was on his last foot. They refused to pay saying they didn't have enough liquid assets to pay him.

Bunta didn't say much and left the Mayor office. As the old Butler of Mustang family, he kept the tracks on Goodwill Corporation even after Dante had lost his rights to the company.

Saying that they had no money was a blatant lie. The answer from the Mayor office also said that they were powerless.

Of course, Bunta wasn't going to let them go just like that.

On the next day, a corpse was hung on the Corporation door with two notes written with blood beside him.

First, the list of crimes that the corpse had done. The second, a reminder for the Corporation to pay its debt.

Shaking with fear, the owners of the Corporation understood to whom the bet was meant to.

Two months later, Dante opened his first field. It didn't take long for him to expand his field and hire some new workers.

Using the Heavenly Yeast that he had gained from the store, the first drop of the yeast had yielded huge amount of crops over the few months.

After a half year, Dante opened another two fields focusing on Rice and Potatoes.

Days continue as Dante and old man Bunta progressed their own development.

Dante continued his training as usual. In addition to his training, farming had become one of his new kind of training method. Every movements during farming activities were a training.

Meanwhile, Bunta also did his best to design that Dante had requested. He already had the blueprints and equipment ready. He just needed to wait for the materials that he had ordered to arrive.

Five years had passed. The material that Old Man Bunta had been waiting for, finally arrived. The material that Dante adamantly to buy and even wait for five years in queue to be bought. The Adams wood.

During those five years, Dante also made a lot of progress on his strength and his wealth.

Dante found that the Heavenly Yeast had a magical effect.

Using the yeast. Dante was able to harvest his rice 4 times a year. The same goes to other crops. They grew up at a very fast rate and can be harvested faster than normal.

The crop not only yielded in high amounts but also at great quality with some unique flavours especially the rice.

Dante also raised sugarcanes inside his gate with two drops of yeast.

As for the effects of the yeast, Dante can decide how much range that he needed for his lands under the fixed range. Usually he wasn't concerned about the range as he always wanted to have it as large as possible with every drop. But, he decided to have the sugarcane, only in his villa's compound.

As a result, his sugarcane produces an amazing taste which cannot be found by another sugarcane. Only in his villa.

Outside Mustang mansion, people keep on talking about Dante on how he was able to bounce back from his fall. Not only that, there were also some rumours on how he turned back on his relatives and hogged all his family fortune. Not only that, Dante had strange rules.

Dante strictly forbade anyone from visiting him in the villa. People can only meet him on his farm or when he visited the town. It was known to the townsmen that there were only two people living in the villa which were Dante and his butler Old Man Bunta.

There were numerous rumors about their situation but no one dared to have a check on him. In early years, some people were killed when trying to trespass his mansion.

People were shocked seeing how fierce Dante's attitude was but still there were some people who tried to prick his secret.

Until that day came.

A pirate ship docked on the island and found the huge mansion which belonged to Dante.

A few of them tried to rob his mansion but they were all killed in action. This incident was known to the pirate captain as he pulled out his whole crew to attack Dante mansion.

The next day, the whole island was shocked with the news that a whole group of hundreds of pirates were dead in front of Dante's mansion. All of their corpses were left in front of his gate like a small hill with a headless captain body on the top. A few days later, marines came and collected the body and the captain's head. After giving rewards to Dante, they left the island.

From that day onwards, no one tried to mess up with him or trespassed his villa.

Standing at the shore, Dante took a look towards his newly built ship.

"Finally. Let's get started." Dante walked and boarded the ship.
