Yale woke up in one of the ship's rooms. 2 weeks have passed since they came back from the mission.
The door of the room opened as Garp went inside the room with a bigger smile than usual, he was carrying a leather bag and a big wooden box.
"Haha my dear disciple, good morning, I bring good news!"
He placed the box and the bag on the bed and pointed at them.
"These are the rewards I got for you and I have to say that they are awesome, you won't be disappointed."
Yale didn't waste any time and started opening the box, Garp made him curious.
In the box there were 2 sabers inside their respective sheaths, their hilts were clean shiny, and they seemed brand new.
He picked one of them and unsheathed it, the body of the blade was black and sharp.
"They were specially forged for you. They are not amazing weapons but surely are top-tier between the normal blades!"
Yale was unconsciously smiling looking at the blade and swinging it around.
Then, he sheathed the saber and looked at the bag.
Is this really for me?"
"Your old man is amazing, isn't he?!"
Garp's smile grew even more as he nodded.
"This old man had to pull a couple of strings to promote your crew! They're all 'Junior grade lieutenants' and you reached the rank of the 'captain'"
Yale couldn't help but smile brightly!
"This means I skipped three ranks!" Yale stated.
"Your wage has increased to 100 million annually, and your granted 100 men under your authority! you've also been given the right to appeal anyone
in the marine to join your crew!"
"Thank you, old man" Yale smiled I'm grateful. Garp only grinned as he continued
"One of the duties that a Marine captain have is commanding one of the several Marine branches established on the islands around the world. But, a captain is often seen navigating the seas to capture pirates and keep order, so which one do you choose!" Garp raised the question.
"I rather sail the ocean and capture pirates!" Yale answered determinedly.
"Next week we begin to spar again, I believe you will want to get stronger!"
Yale looked at him and bowed deeply for the first time ever to show his deep gratitude.
Garps ruffled his hair and got out of the room leaving him alone.
Having nothing to do Yale's days passed rapidly.
His weekly sparring with Garps continued but he noticed a problem with his new haki: his "body's strength" was insufficient to express its potential.
"That is completely normal, you always forget how early you are in things. Normally, to use haki of the high level you would need a stronger body, but you are still not fully grown!" Garps explained.
Their sparring session had ended and Yale was exposing his doubts to him.
"So, what you think I should do, Old man?"
"You could just let your body grow but you don't seem to know how to stay still."
Garps felt a bit of exasperation saying this.
"You can gather battle experience doing missions, I believe you should be fine against any pirate here' as long as you don't enter the Grand Line!"

Months passed by.
Yale alternated between his usual schedule in the mansion and his travels outside it to clear pirates and local tyrants.
He slowly builds a name for himself and his crew.
Everywhere they went they would be greeted with applause and cheering.
One day as they were sailing towards the next island, Smoker approached Yale with confidence and challenged him to a fight. Yale grinned and accepted the challenge, knowing that Smoker had no idea what he was getting himself into.
The fight began, and Smoker used his newfound powers against the captain. He thought he had the upper hand with his haki and devil fruit powers, but Within seconds, Yale beat Smoker on the ground, humiliated and ashamed.
Smoker realized that his pride had gotten the best of him, and he had underestimated the captain's abilities yet again.
Smoker started to admire his captain's leadership skills and strength.
One day, as they were sailing through dangerous waters, the ship got caught in a storm. The waves were high, and the wind was strong, the ship was at risk of going under.
Smoker noticed Yale's bravery and leadership as he helped the crew to fight and navigate through the storm.
It was at that moment that he realized how wrong he had been to challenge Yale. He had learned from his defeat and realized that Yale was more than just powerful, he was a great leader who cared about his crew and their success.
From that day on, Smoker became Yale's most loyal crew member, always willing to learn and grow under his leadership.
But what Smoker didn't take into consideration was how he was being molded into Yale's palm. He was going to regret this decision in the future, It's not a matter of If it's going to happen it's a matter of when.
Soon the marine crew led by Yale arrived on the island of Syrup Village, Yale wanted to recruit Usoppe before Luffy comes and claims him.
The crew began to search for this sharpshooter, and finally, they found Usopp. At first, Usopp was hesitant to join the marine crew, as he was known for his love of lies and deceit in the village.
However, Yale challenged Usopp to a shooting competition on the island. Usopp was confident in his ability to shoot and with the added pressure of his crush named Kaya watching, he accepted the challenge.
The competition began, and Usopp showed his incredible skill as a sharpshooter. He aimed at various targets from a distance, shooting with precision and ease. However, as the competition went on, it became apparent that Yale's skill was superior.
Usopp was impressed by Yale's technique and realized that he had a lot to learn. He admired Yale's dedication and skill, and ultimately, he decided to accept the offer to join the marine crew.
Yale welcomed Usopp to the crew with open arms, but one thing was bothering Yale.
As he stared at the blond girl named Kaya with reluctance.
'She would be convenient to have along as she could help me earn Usoppe's trust quicker!"
Yale wasn't someone that would bother with minor inconvenience and he asked Kaya to join their crew as well, but she was quick to refuse.
Yale sighed and was about to leave her, but Usoppe went towards her and pleaded with her to come with them.
After a while, she excepted the request and soon Usopp and Kaya joined the crew and tagged along with Yale.
He worked on improving their foundation, and with the help of Docter Meaw, Kaya's sickness was quickly healed.
And in response, Usoppe started to sharpen his sharpshooting skills, becoming an even greater asset to Yale.
Usopp quickly grew to respect and admire Yale even more. He realized that the captain was more than just powerful, he was also an excellent leader who deeply cared about his crew.
