Chapter 39 : No Chance To Talk!!

The candle wall lasted less than a second under the intense heat and the corrosive venom before it began to dissolve, but it was enough! 

Magellan no longer had the strength to command the venomous dragon to strike with more force. After being blocked, the dragon began to disintegrate on its own.

"Candle Passage!" 

Mr. 3 did not stop his actions. Instead, he used more wax to create a long channel, covering the venom that spread from the disintegrating dragon, containing all the poison!

Magellan's eyes were filled with reluctance as he struggled to stand. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't muster any more strength, and his vitality was fading rapidly. 

He staggered and fell to the ground.

"How ironic, Magellan!" 

Suddenly, a voice tinged with a sigh reached Magellan's ears, and Buggy appeared in front of him without warning.

"Bu...ggy..." 

Magellan's consciousness became increasingly blurred, and he muttered something.

Buggy shook his head and looked at Magellan. "Don't worry, your death is not meaningless! Your demise marks the beginning of a new era! Now, make your final effort for the arrival of this new era!"

As Buggy said this, his left hand detached from his body, grabbed the back of Magellan's collar, and lifted him higher.

"Magellan is dead. We have no rivals ahead of us! Kill!" 

Buggy's loud voice instantly echoed throughout every corner of the fourth underground floor!

The jailers, who had no idea what was happening, were instantly struck with shock, looking at Magellan's body in disbelief.

Conversely, the prisoners who had escaped suddenly felt an endless surge of power, and their morale skyrocketed!

For a long time, Magellan was almost synonymous with the devil in the minds of these prisoners, and his power was a huge weight on their hearts. Now, that weight was lifted!

The prisoners fought with increasing ferocity, their battle cries echoing through the corridors as they charged at the bewildered jailers!

"Boom!!!"

"Ace~~!"

At that moment, more than a dozen jailers were sent flying out from the stairwell!

Luffy and his crew burst out of the stairwell, joining the fray! The prison guards fell even faster under their onslaught.

Bucky grinned upon seeing this. The immediate impact was evident. Noticing that Magellan's life force was waning rapidly, he darted out of the stairwell alone!

This move would save them a lot of time in dealing with the thousands of jailers!

"Put Magellan down, you bastard!"

Suddenly, a flash of steel sliced through the air, and Buggy's body was cleaved into two by a naginata!

Hannyabal, breathing heavily, bore a gruesome scar from his left shoulder to his chest, still bleeding, but his eyes were filled with determination!

"As the vice warden of Impel Down, if I allow vile pirates like you to escape back to the sea, countless civilians will live in fear of pirate attacks! Therefore..."

"One-Sword Style, Thousand Cuts!"

Hannyabal was in the midst of his speech when Buggy, who had been severed in two, suddenly raised his hand and slashed at him!

A sky-blue blade flashed, and Hannyabal was sliced to pieces!

"How can this be...?"

Hannyabal, not yet dead, looked in disbelief at Buggy, who had reassembled himself once more!

Buggy smirked with disdain and said, "How can you possibly muster the morale to fight back after such a hard defeat? You should just go join Magellan!"

Buggy was well aware of the power of persuasion! The neighboring Konoha Village's prince was famed as the world's best ninja, often turning the tides of battle with his Talk no Jutsu!

No way was Buggy going to give anyone the chance to rally the troops with their words!

With a snap of his fingers, Buggy nullified the power of the Chop-Chop Fruit!

Hannyabal's body instantly turned into real pieces, blood spurting everywhere!

"The vice warden is dead too!"

"It's no use. We can't stop them! We're all going to die!"

"Run! Run for your lives!"

Seeing Hannyabal, the vice warden, also fall, the already low morale of the surrounding jailers completely crumbled!

The battle turned into a one-sided massacre!

Buggy, cutting down a group of fleeing jailers, grabbed Mr. 3 and rushed toward Ivankov and Inazuma!

"Move aside! Move aside! Clear the way! Rubber Pistol! Machine gun fire!"

Luffy charged toward the staircase leading to the third underground floor with all his might. With Ivankov and Boa Hancock escorting him, he was unstoppable and nearly at the stairs!

"Hold on a moment, you two. Stop dealing with the kid here!" Buggy called out to Ivankov and Inazuma. "I've got more important tasks for you!"

Ivankov was taken aback, hesitating as he looked at Luffy still rushing forward, but then he stopped.

Now that Magellan, the strongest jailer in Impel Down, was dead, Luffy should be safe with Boa Hancock by his side.

Ivankov looked at Buggy and asked, "Buggy-boy, with the battle decided, is there something more important you need to do?"

"Absolutely!" Buggy replied. "Take some people to the elevator and secure the control room on the first floor. That place is crucial!"

Ivankov was momentarily stunned, then understanding dawned on him. "You're talking about the Gate of Justice?"

Buggy nodded and said, "Yes! This is crucial if we want to reach Navy Headquarters. We need to secure it as soon as possible!"

Though the chances are slim, the guards in the control room on the ground floor might destroy the switch to the Gate of Justice out of desperation. To prevent that, we must take control of the ground floor control room!

"Don't worry, leave this to me!" Ivankov understood the importance of the task. After agreeing, he gathered a group of Okamas and rushed towards the elevator.

Buggy then turned to Inazuma and Mr. 3, saying, "Don't rush out just yet. Organize a team to release all the prisoners on the first, second, and third basement levels!"

"Those guys will make a formidable force!" Inazuma and Mr. 3 nodded and left with their groups.

Buggy assessed the battlefield, where the fight was still ongoing, estimating it would take at least ten more minutes to end the battle completely. 

Although the jailers had lost their fighting spirit, there were still thousands of them. Even if they sacrificed their lives, they could delay them for a while.

Ignoring the ongoing battle, Buggy turned and headed towards the office area on the fourth underground floor!
