Chapter 14 : No Bones Remain!!

A brilliant blue light erupted, radiating from Magellan's body and extending up to the stairwell as if everything had been cleaved in two! 

Magellan's pupils contracted in shock, and his body was forced to the sides involuntarily!

"Split!"

Buggy was about to use his Devil Fruit power to split Magellan's body, but suddenly, a terrifying force surged from within Magellan, reuniting the body that had been on the verge of splitting!

"Poison Dragon!"

Magellan thrust his hand forward, and a colossal purple dragon made of venom surged towards Buggy, slamming into him with immense force and sending him crashing away! 

After the attack, Magellan's towering figure staggered, falling to one knee with a jolt! A thin line of blood appeared on his face, and his clothes were torn down the middle!

When Buggy hit the ground, he rolled through the snow a few times to shake off the venom before pushing himself up with a knife, standing with difficulty as he gasped for breath.

Each inhalation felt like fire in Buggy's lungs, making each breath painful and his vision blur. He realized the poison from Magellan was taking its toll! Soon, he might not even have the strength to stand!

Magellan exhaled a plume of poisonous gas, stood up, and regarded Buggy with a calm demeanor. "Good effort! It's a shame that your sword wasn't used as a blade but used a Devil Fruit ability. Otherwise, I'd be dead by now!"

Buggy shook his head slightly and replied, "It's a pity. If you had given me a bit more time, you might have witnessed the full power of this technique!"

"Still, it's not such a bad thing!" 

Despite his vision growing hazy, his hearing muddled, and his internal organs feeling like they were burning, Buggy sensed something strange. It might be an illusion, but he felt his body growing stronger than ever! 

Buggy was gradually getting used to the sensation. This might be the frightening aspect of his body breaking through human limits—the endless possibilities! 

Only by constantly fighting, pushing his limits, and adapting to harsh and extreme conditions could he truly discover the potential of his body!

"Magellan, come on!" Buggy shouted.

Without hesitation, Buggy took a deep breath of the air mixed with poisonous mist, raised his hand, and pointed his knife at Magellan!

Magellan didn't waste words. Three massive purple poisonous dragons surged up behind him and charged at Buggy!

This time, Buggy didn't dodge or rely on his Devil Fruit abilities. Instead, he swung his knife directly at the approaching poisonous dragons!

Though Buggy might have been less formidable in his youth, he was far from weak. He had sailed with Gol D. Roger in the New World, facing top-tier pirates like the Flying Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates. 

Surviving such battles spoke to his strength, no matter how rusty he had become after decades of a cushy life in the East Blue.

Despite having the techniques and memories in his head, Buggy had never practiced them enough, leading to his defeat by Luffy, who had just set sail and was still a novice. 

Now that Buggy's physical condition was improving, he saw this as an opportunity to reacquaint himself with his moves and rediscover the thrill of fighting strong opponents. Magellan noticed that Buggy's condition seemed unusual.

Ordinarily, the poison should have weakened Buggy, but Magellan sensed that Buggy appeared to be getting stronger instead. Or perhaps he was not getting stronger but simply 'recovering'? 

Magellan furrowed his brow. Whether Buggy was getting stronger or just recovering, he was determined not to give him another chance. He would go all out!

As Magellan was thinking this, Buggy lunged at him with venomous intent and struck at his head!

Magellan raised his hand, and a large volume of purple venom erupted from his palm, directly seizing the long knife that Buggy had swung. In the next moment, the purple venom transformed into a red, corrosive substance. 

Black smoke began to rise as the long knife in Buggy's hand was rapidly dissolved by the red venom!

Buggy's eyes widened in shock. He quickly discarded the dissolved knife and, using his haki to coat his remaining knife, slashed again at Magellan's head!

Magellan's eyes narrowed slightly, but he made no move to dodge. Instead, he retracted his hand and let Buggy's knife slash across his shoulder. 

At the same moment, Magellan's withdrawn hand shot out again, this time unleashing a torrent of red venom that struck Buggy's body.

Buggy managed to raise his arm, covered in Armament Haki, just in time to block the attack. With a muffled thud, Magellan's fist collided with Buggy's fortified arm, and a large amount of red venom splattered across Buggy.

The red venom acted like molten lava, scorching and eroding Buggy's body. The high concentration of toxins in the venom was so potent that even Buggy's resilient body struggled to cope with it.

Buggy felt his eyelids growing heavier, his thoughts becoming increasingly disoriented, and his strength rapidly diminishing.

But Magellan wasn't faring well either. 

Buggy's knife had lodged itself deeply in Magellan's shoulder blade, almost severing his left arm. 

Gritting his teeth, Buggy swung Magellan's fist aside, drew his knife back, and managed to pull it out, though the majority of the blade had already been dissolved by the poison. 

Buggy discarded the damaged knife and, disregarding the venom on Magellan's body, raised his Haki-covered fist and lunged at Magellan with renewed ferocity.

For a brief period, Magellan, who was less skilled in physical combat, struggled against Buggy's relentless attacks and was pushed back repeatedly.

But this state of affairs was only temporary.

Soon, Magellan seized an opportunity to counter Buggy's punch, countering with a powerful backhand strike. 

"Poison Dragon!"

A massive surge of red venom erupted, engulfing Buggy and sending him flying through the air.

"Poison Giant: Judgment of Hell!"

Magellan roared, unleashing a torrent of crimson venom that coalesced into a towering red giant. Buggy, trapped beneath the venom, gasped for breath, his strength completely spent. 

He could only watch helplessly as Magellan and the monstrous poison giant drew closer with each step.

"Buggy the Clown, I know you're not just some simple fool! But no matter what your plans are, this is where it ends!"

Magellan panted heavily as he directed the poison giant to raise its massive hand high.

"Candle Suite!"

At that moment, Mr. 3, who had been observing the battle, appeared beside Buggy. He quickly fashioned a rectangular wax box to shield both himself and Buggy from the oncoming attack.

"Let's die together, then!"

Seeing this, Magellan intensified his effort, commanding the poison giant to slam down on the wax enclosure.

"Boom!"

Before anyone could react, the wax box was swiftly dissolved by the red venom, engulfing Buggy and Mr. 3 in its corrosive embrace.

When Magellan withdrew his hand from controlling the Poison Giant, there was nothing left of Buggy and Mr. 3 but a few scraps of fabric and shards of wax.
