The Clash

Rudeus was standing behind a tree and was about to shoot an arrow to a pirate walking towards him, he pulled the arrow to its limit as he heard;

"So, you are the little bug destroying my plan."

Rudeus hearing this went on full alert mode, he knew whose voice this was and if he showed any kind of aggression it would lead to the worst ending possible.

Rudeus was wrecking his brain thinking what his next step would be as he heard the footstep of Kuro nearing him; Rudeus feeling he was going to die took a chance and dived out of the zone after he released the arrow aiming at the pirate whom he initially wanted to kill.

"Ahh!" the pirate screamed as he fell down on his knees and died.

Rudeus was going to get up as he felt a tremendous impact on his back, it was as if a motorbike had hit him; he groaned and fell down off the uphill.

Kuro Pov:

Kuro initially thought that their plan failed when they were first attacked. Kuro after sometime realised that it was one person as the attack locations were monotonous, so he told his men to swim till the shore.

After he jumped he didn't swim straight instead he got to shore a few metres away from the rest and started to climb the uphill, he planned to eliminate whoever was holding them back.

When he got to the top he was shocked to see it was no navy or bounty hunter or any veteran, instead it was a little kid around the age of 8-9 years. Kuro decided to surprise the kid who has manage to hold them for so long but when he tried to approach the kid, the kid surprised him with the sudden act as the kid tried to dive and escape after killing another one of his men infront of him.

Kuro kicked the kid's back the moment he tried to get up; he realised that the kid was trained well and talented too for being so decisive so letting him move freely will cause him more harm.

"Now kid, I won't say I'm not impressed by you, to be able to hold us so long, but what would you do now?" Kuro said this loudly so that the pirates nearby could hear too.

The pirates when they realised that they were tricked by a little kid became very angry; the rest of the pirates gathered too.

Rudeus slowly crawled to the dead body of a pirate whom he killed before and took out the sword off his scabbard; he knew now he will have to be careful as he is the one in disadvantage, he looked at the pirates ferociously and said;

"Do you think I would come unprepared, the Navy already knows about your location and the villagers have evacuated too. So, let me ask you 'How does it feel to walk into your own grave?'"

Hearing this, the pirates started to panic; it was not that they were scared of Rudeus but his voice, as if it was inducing uneasiness into their hearts.

Unknown to Rudeus he had unlocked a skill used by summoners to induce fear into their enemies.

Kuro looking at the situation became serious and said;

"It is true that we may not gain anything from this attack but you will not escape from us either; as for the Navy, I know well that Captain Rasa has a weak spot for children so you will be our hostage for our escape. Men catch him alive, but you can cut his hands"

Just as Kuro finished the pirates gained a new form of moral they started to shout and charge towards Rudeus.

Rudeus held his sword tightly; it was his first time using a real sword, till now he was only practicing with a wooden sword.

He saw a pirate rushing towards him, he mentally prepared himself; just as the pirate made a vertical slash towards him he ducked the sword while moving towards left side of the pirate and slashed through the thigh of the pirate, the moment when the pirate groaned in pain he stabbed the sword right through the ribcage piercing through the organs; the pirate's sword fell off his hand as he died.

Looking at the scene, the pirates started to hesitate a little. Captain Kuro looking at his men knew now he would have act to make things fast, just as he was about to make a move he saw Rudeus rushing towards the sea, when he looked further he saw the boats they left on water; he understood what Rudeus was thinking and hurriedly commanded his men;

"Don't let him escape; he is trying to take our boat"

The pirates started to rush towards Rudeus.

Rudeus knew he cannot win against such a number of people head on atleast for now, so he decided to escape while they were hesitating. He jumped into the sea and started to swim towards the boats.

Rudeus took a deep breath and dived to swim underwater; during his training with the marine the most common weekly drill was to swim underwater, Captain Rasa taught them how to do it faster than the others.

Rudeus swam pass the first few boats and got up into the last one, he slashed the rope tied to the anchor and set sail.

'How can this kid swim so fast?' Kuro thought and this was a thought that came in the mind of all the pirates.

Kuro was frustrated, getting played by a little kid again and again. He looked at Rudeus setting sail but he wasn't worried as he had already signalled Jango to bring the ship over.

Rudeus after adjusting the sail started to fire arrows at the pirates who have climbed the other boats, he was getting excited about his escape but then he saw the huge ship heading towards them, he quickly adjusted the sail to move the boat towards the rocky area as big ships find it hard to move there.

Rudeus was contemplating on how he would escape from here and finally made his choice, he moved the boat behind a big rock, and so nobody could see him and said;

(Summon: Squirtle)

Just as he finish saying he felt a wave of headache but this time it was bearable, he said to Squirtle who was looking at him curiously;

"There is a big ship chasing us, I want you to take me out of here" Rudeus said as he gave Squirtle a rope connected to the boat.

Rudeus was about to say something more but he felt exhaustion swipe pass him and so he lay down before he knew he fell asleep.
