Chapter 15: Astounding Sage Mode

Another Shunpo, and Chika appeared in front of the testing device.

This move stunned everyone present at the testing site. Chika had already become the center of attention with that speed alone, and even the test official widened his eyes in surprise.

"This speed? Is it Shunpo? But where did he learn it from?" The test official was amazed because Chika's instantaneous movement just now was so similar to the Shunpo in the Marine Six Powers.

"May I begin?" Ignoring the reactions around him, Chika asked the test official.

"Ah, yes. When you're ready, begin, Uchiha Chika."

Receiving the signal to start, Chika closed his eyes. The value of Haki was closely related to physical strength, and in order to maximize physical strength, Chika planned to use the Sage Mode he had learned in the world of Naruto.

Chika's Sage Mode was from Ryūchi Cave. During his time outside of Konoha, he had always been with Orochimaru and, following his guidance, went to Ryūchi Cave to learn their Sage Mode. He had even made breakthroughs based on the Sage Mode of Ryūchi Cave, evolving towards the path of dragons.

Under Sage Mode, Chika's physical and sensory abilities were greatly enhanced. The ninjutsu he used, including the dōjutsu power of the Rinnegan, would be amplified several times over.

Opening his eyes again, a faint purple eyeshadow appeared on Chika's face, accentuating the deepness of his purple Rinnegan. His whole demeanor underwent a tremendous transformation, as if he had merged with the surrounding environment.

Natural energy converged madly towards Chika's right hand as he assumed a charging posture, and in a deep voice, he chanted, ["Sage Art: Dragon Fist."]

There was no grand spectacle; it appeared to be an ordinary charging punch directed at the testing device.

"Boom!" Then came a deafening sound, and the entire area was filled with sand and gravel. The testing device flew out from a cloud of smoke.

With a thud, the testing device landed, and the test official quickly approached to inspect it. The testing device, made of seastone, now had numerous cracks. Fortunately, the display screen remained intact, protected by Chika's divided attention.

Glancing at the numbers on the display screen, the test official stood frozen in place. After a long while, he stammered out the digits shown on the screen.

"7... 7200! Chi..Chika's score is 7200!"

The following words were almost shouted out, and the entire testing site erupted!

"7200? What kind of number is that? Even some high-ranking officers can't achieve that!"

"Did the testing device malfunction? How is this possible?"

"Nonsense! Can't you see how the testing device was damaged? It's made of seastone!"

The remaining students who stayed on the field discussed Chika's performance intensely.

Shun! Gion heard the commotion from outside and thought something urgent had happened. She immediately used Shunpo to rush into the testing area.

Finding the somewhat dazed test official, she asked what had happened.

The test official, upon seeing Vice Admiral Gion, quickly explained the situation. Gion, upon hearing it, couldn't believe her eyes and looked in astonishment at Chika still standing in the center of the field.

At this moment, Chika had already exited Sage Mode. Seeing Gion entering, he walked over and smiled at her, saying, "Sister Gion, I believe I did pretty well."

You call this 'pretty well'?? Don't be so conceited! Gion couldn't help but silently complain in her heart.

She had gained a new understanding of her newly recognized younger brother, Chika — A true show-off.

Gion glanced deeply at Chika. She knew that with the score he had achieved this time, the higher-ups at headquarters would be unable to sit still.

Sure enough, news of Chika's performance quickly reached the ears of the higher-ranking officers.

In the office, Sengoku was engaged in a fierce debate with his old friend, Garp. Just then, he received the news from the training camp. After hearing it, he sat in his seat in a daze, not even realizing he had been hit by a "booger of love."

Garp looked at his old friend in confusion, unable to understand why Sengoku suddenly seemed absent-minded.

Sengoku suddenly turned his head and looked at Garp, frightening him to the point of jumping off the sofa. Just as Garp thought Sengoku was about to retaliate for the "booger of love," Sengoku spoke slowly,

"Uchiha Chika achieved a score of 7200 in the physical strength test."

"What??" Even Garp, who was usually laid-back, couldn't hold back his surprise at this score.

Putting away his playful expression, Garp looked at Sengoku solemnly and said, "Sengoku, you've truly found a monster for the Marines this time!"

Sengoku nodded in agreement, wondering how Zephyr would react when he found out about this news.
