"Shoot, shoot quickly!"

Bang bang bang~

A series of gunshots rang out, and countless bullets flew into the sky.

Lynch wielded his long sword, fending off the climbing pirates.

As the pillars of the house were cut off by the pirates below, the house collapsed, kicking up a large cloud of dust.

"Lynch!"

Hina rushed towards the ruins. Despite her disdain for the reckless man, she couldn't bear to see her companion die before her eyes.

"I'm okay, worry about yourself."

Lynch emerged from the smoke, rolling out of the ruins with a bloody wound on his right arm.

Observing nearly half of the present pirates rushing towards Lynch, a smirk played on the corner of Major Nishizawa mouth.

This kid has some nerve.

"Quick, get the others around to help him."

Soon after, a large group of Marines arrived and swiftly dealt with the remaining pirates.

"Boom!"

Here, Lynch had just killed the amputated pirate in front of him, and without taking any time to rest, he was attracted by a huge explosion in the distance.

"Is that Teacher Zephyr?"

Hina and Lynch exchanged a glance, pushing past their physical fatigue as they hurried towards the source of the explosion.

Upon reaching the scene, they beheld the sight before them.

"I am Jonard the Blood Axe, a great pirate with a bounty of 230 million, and the man who wants to become the Pirate King! How can he fall here, by just some old man?"

"Stop your nonsense!"

The five-meter-tall ferocious man was covered in blood and shouted. 

As soon as he raised the giant ax in his hand, he was punched into the ground by Zephyr. Unknown know whether he was alive or dead.

"Boom!"

Just when Hina thought everything was over, a massive explosion erupted where Jonard was, engulfing Zephyr in its flames.

"Teacher Zephyr!"

No one anticipated this turn of events. Hina's pretty face was buffeted by the strong wind from the explosion as she anxiously looked towards its direction.

While Hina was lost in thought, a long sword suddenly stabbed out from the soil under her feet.

The attack came fast and from an unexpected angle, catching Hina off guard until Lynch push her aside.

Blood splattered.

Though Hina was spared, Lynch's other arm was unfortunately sliced in the process.

Only then did Hina belatedly realize that she was probably on the verge of death.

"Hina is very angry!" She quickly thrust the sword in her hand into the ground, but it seemed to hit nothing.

"Quit poking around, the enemy's already left," 

Lynch said, sitting on the ground with a pale face. "If nothing else, it's probably a Devil Fruit user."

"How can you be so sure the enemy's gone?" Hina frowned, still fixated on the ground.

"Idiot. Because Teacher Zephyr is already here," Lynch retorted.

Emerging from the heart of the explosion, Zephyr walked out, armed to the teeth, his clothes now tinged with the hues of armament haki.

At the sight, Hina's furrowed brows finally relaxed.

"Thank you, but Hina blames herself"

Seeing Lynch's bleeding arm, Hina tore off a piece of her own clothes, knelt down, and apply a simple bandage to stop the bleeding, her expression tinged with guilt.

"I can help you once, but I can't help you every time, so be careful." Lynch said with a smile.

"What a vengeful man." Two blushes appeared on Hina's face.

These words were obviously what she said to Lynch not long ago, but she didn't expect the slap in the face to come so quickly.

However, thanks to Lynch's teasing, Hina's self-blame was relieved a lot.

"Are you both alright?" 

Zephyr's towering figure cast a shadow over them, providing a welcome sense of relief from the heat of the flames, also bringing a sense of coolness

Hina nodded, looking thoughtful as she recalled that she had been rescued by Lynch just now.

Soon, all the pirates in the village were wiped out.

Rear Admiral Momonga came over carrying a man with a big face and a sinister look on his face.

"Thanks to you, Teacher, many villagers are safe," 

Momonga said, throwing the person he carried to the ground.

"This guy's got a Devil Fruit power. He'll be sent to the deep-sea prison," Momonga declared.

If someone with a Devil Fruit power dies, the Devil Fruit within them will reappear somewhere else in the world.

To delay the rebirth of Devil Fruits, the World Government require that all individuals with Devil Fruit powers be sent to the deep-sea prison when captured.

"What Devil Fruit power does he have?"

Seeing that it was Lynch asking, the Momonga said: "It's a Zoan type, the Rat-Rat Fruit, Model: Vole Form,"

Upon hearing this, Lynch approached the man with a seemingly "friendly" expression and asked, "Were you the one who attacked us underground earlier?"

"No...no," the man stammered, swallowing nervously.

"But your eyes tell a different story"

Lynch patted the man's shoulder kindly, "Before you are sent to prison, I will tell others not to give you food. I hope you will not starve to death."

The man lay helpless on the ground, the beard on his face trembling, as if he could foresee his tragic fate in the future.

A few Marines stayed behind to handle follow-up matters, while the rest boarded the return ship.

The scene shifted to Lynch lying in the warship's medical room.

Hina's makeshift bandage had been replaced with delicate ones by the doctors, wrapping each of Lynch's arms carefully.

"Alright. Avoid using your arms forcefully and keep them away from water until the wounds heal,"

The doctor advised.

"Thank you, doctor"
