◇ N A O M I ◇
It's the day. Time to bring down the number one cunning couple in this school. I look up to the sky. It was cloudy and I could hear the rumbling thunder. A rainy day, it's my lucky day.
I'm at my dressing room, preparing for my speech in attempt to convince the brainwashed students. I'm wearing a black off-shoulder dress, with a slit on the left part up to my thighs. It exposes my cleavage and my upper curves. I paired it with a black stilettos, making a perfect all-black formal outfit.
Simply, sexy. It would be easier to snatch the votes of the male students this way. Most men are lustful beings. Give them something sexy and they would follow you like a dog.
"Oh, looking sexy, soon-to-be ex president." I heard Du Ho stated, entering the room. "Thank you for the compliment, ex president." I replied, putting emphasis on the last words. I noticed how he clenched his knuckles because of frustration, making me smirk. "I'll do the speech first. Goodluck in trying to win a losing battle," he said then left the room. Don't be so confident, not everything will go your way.
My hairstylist fixed my hair into a braided crown. I then wore my favorite black rose jewelry set as I wore a very light makeup. All good. I took out my earphones and plugged it in my ears. I opened my phone and played my instrumental playlist.
I closed my eyes and repeated my plan in my mind, multiple times. Maybe if people could see me right now, they would assume that I'm confident and calm in a losing situation like this. Others would envy, some would doubt. But the ones who doubts are in the right side, I'm panicking. I feel so nervous, scared that I might make a mistake. I can't afford any mistake, not even the smallest possible mistake.
I let darkness swallow my sight as I immense myself in the instrumental music. Music somehow soothes my anxiety and helps me clear my chaotic mind. But all these calmness was interrupted by several knocks on the door. I took off the earphones immediately and looked at myself on the mirror, checking for any clue of anxiety.
"Lady Naomi, master Du Ho just finished his campaign speech. It will be your turn in three minutes." The man said then left. After making sure that I look perfectly, I went out to the backstage.
Only the members of the Eventus Disciples are present in the backstage and everyone else are there, waiting for my appearance. Eventus Disciples is what the group in charge of the events are called.
"Are you ready, Lady Naomi?" The new event manager asked. I nodded and went to the right side of the backstage. I could see some of the students from here. Some are rallying while some are supporting. The host starts to introduce me, saying each of my achievements. I guess the host is my follower, I smirked at the thought of it.
"You can go out now, Lady Naomi." I took a deep breath then walked out towards the middle of the stage. I gave a small forced smile and looked at the crowd, memorizing the faces of those who opposed me.
The host gave me the microphone and I gave the crowd a serious look.
"Here I am standing, once again. Asking for your cooperation to free ourselves from this unhealthy system. It has only been months since I got this position, and I want you to trust me to keep this power to give you a better college life." I closed my eyes for a few seconds and smiled at them.
"I will offer better events, and from every two weeks, it will be scheduled every week. Expect that the facilities and the environment will be a better fit for each of you. As a result, the different groups of this school will also recruit more students, giving more opportunities to other students. May I remind you that, being a member of a group grants you privileges a normal student, can't have. I hope you would trust me once again." I stated and was about to give back the microphone to the host when I remembered something.
"Just a piece of advice. Don't be afraid of demons. Be afraid of the devil, dressed as an angel." I said with a smirk then dropped the microphone down and left. What a way to end a speech.
As I disappeared behind the curtains, I heard the students' sudden outburst of claps and cheers. "Magnificent speech, Lady Naomi!" The host exclaimed after giving the students ten minutes to prepare for the voting.
I then saw Du Ho, punching the wall in frustration. "This is just the beginning, you cunning manipulative creature." I muttered to myself, glaring at him. He looked at me with a murderous look. Fall for my trap, Du Ho. Hate me more.
Ten minutes has passed and I am once again standing in the stage. Du Ho on the right half while I'm on the left and the host in the middle.
"Time to cast your votes, students. Who will you choose? The son of the president of Korea, or the Queen of our school?" The host asked and the students starts moving. The votes would be counted by how many students are in each half of the auditorium.
Five minutes has passed and majority of the students are all standing on the left side, on my side. Only Hyuna and their faithful followers were left on the right side.
"And the current president stays in her position!" The host announced as the crowd applauded and cheered. The host then gave me the microphone as Du Ho went down of the stage.
"Thank you for all the support and trust you have given me once again. I never gave promises, but I am a woman of my words. I assure you that I wouldn't act cowardly and will never take back my words. As a gift, there will be a party, held at my rest house by the seaside. Everyone is invited and I have a surprise gift for everyone. The party will start by seven in the evening, see you all there!" I then bows down to the crowd and went back to the backstage.
I was greeted by an angry Du Ho and Hyuna. "Don't be so cocky, you only kept that useless position, nothing else." Du Ho stated. I can hear the anger in his voice, making me smile. "I am not cocky, unlike you. If I were you, I would be more careful, the game has just began and I'll make sure I will end you." I said then walked past them. The girls then hugged me tightly and the boys congratulated me. I can finally move on to my next problem.
"That was savage!" Julia exclaimed, making me smile. "It's just the beginning. Karma is a bitch, so am I. If karma can't handle the couple, then I will. But before we continue with the game, let's get ready for the party! I have a surprise for everyone." I said, with a bright genuine smile. I can truly smile with them around me. I hope doing this surprise is worth it.
