Noble Emblem

A young Brave walked out of his village, gathered companions to his side, defeated the Great Demon King, became famous, then came back with beauties in hand! This was a legend that appears in the world of Seyrol every 200 years! Our protagonist, however, isn’t a Brave. Even so, for over a thousand years his figure has loomed throughout its history. Unwittingly, the name of the Red Priest began to resound throughout the world. Red Priest’s legend included extraordinary sword techniques and magic, erudite knowledge, and an almost prophetic ability to lead young Braves toward the proper path. People of the world think of him as a descendent of the ancient Golden Race which led to his omnipotence. In essence, however, this was just the characteristics of the profession known as ‘Noble’. A word from the fabulousest translator/editor on Earth which is me I took upon this translation/editing project for the same reason I started translating my first Chinese novel. There are just too many big ass gems buried in a deep cesspool. I've long guessed that Qidian stopped introducing good Chinese novels on this platform in order to give some breathing room for English (and other) originals, but I don't agree with such approach. From a reader's standpoint, it is such a shame that we don't even know how many brilliant works we are missing because of the language barrier. To be honest, I'm mainly copypasting from the site called Novelhi. It is a really good resource and their machine translation is the best I've seen so far, and they also translate up to the latest available chapter. Still, they have several issues. For some reason they always miss the last paragraph which make you can missout on a potentially very important information related to a story, and they also have parts where just a couple of words gets repeated for a whole paragraph and it actually replaces the original text. They also translate an ad together with a chapter which is immersion breaking. I'll be correcting the inherent sins of such MTL with manual editing and translation and I will also polish some rough edges so that the readers will have as much seemless reading experience as possible. You will definitely have a better time reading this than me for sure

King's idea

In front of him was a Master Warrior, and a pure Guardian Warrior at that.

Under normal circumstances, Guardian Warriors weren't very useful. No matter how powerful a Guardian Warrior was, it was impossible for him to block attacks from all directions and protect the people around him. Also, many professions had large-scale attack techniques. Guardian Warriors were good at dealing with single-point attacks, but they didn't have many good ways to defend against large-scale attacks.

Besides, the players could resurrect, and they would be as good as new after ten minutes. They wouldn't be afraid of death, and they would fight each other. Therefore, in the minds of the players, the Guardian Warrior class wasn't that important. Although there were quite a few people who took up this class, it didn't receive much attention from the players. Only some special quests and situations would require this class.

However, for NPCs who only had one life, Guardian Warriors were rare and extremely important professions. Almost all the big shots wanted to recruit Guardian Warriors, the more, the better.

However, whether on Earth or in this magical world, there weren't many people who were willing to devote themselves to others. After all, they only had one life, and no one wanted to die for someone else for no reason. Therefore, there were even fewer people who were willing to be Guardian Warriors in the magical world.

He didn't expect to meet a Guardian Warrior here.

This Guardian Warrior was covered in black armor, and his face was also covered by a horned iron helmet. Only a pair of brown eyes could be seen.

He blocked the Golden Knight's greatsword with his giant shield. The sword and the shield collided, and after a loud metallic sound, both of them took a step back.

Although the Golden Knight was only Beta's summon, the summon was generally related to the summoner's strength. Also, as the Pope of Woking's church, Beta would have additional bonuses when he used the divine spells of Woking even if he wasn't a Favored.

The strength of the divine spells was related to the Priest's faith. Beta didn't have any real "faith" in Waukeen, but it was undeniable that the two of them had an extremely "good" relationship.

A priest was a person who borrowed power from the gods. With the relationship between Beta and Woking, it was a simple matter for him to borrow power.

Therefore, the Theurgy that he cast was getting stronger and stronger. Similarly, the Golden Knight that he summoned was also much stronger than before.

The Guardian Warrior lifted his giant shield and took a step back. He looked at the Golden Knight in astonishment.

Ever since he became a Master-level Guardian Warrior, the black shield in his hand had blocked countless attacks. He could even withstand direct impact spells. But now, he was forced to take two steps back by an enemy wearing golden armor.

While he was still in shock, Beta suddenly appeared behind the Golden Knight and attacked the Guardian Warrior with a silver sword.

The Guardian Warrior's reaction was extremely fast. The giant shield in his hand moved at an unbelievable speed, and he used the edge of the shield to block Beta's thrust. But soon, the Golden Knight shifted his center of gravity and swung his golden greatsword down from above.

The Guardian Warrior lived up to his name as a guardian. The degree to which he used the giant shield was simply astonishing.

After he blocked Beta's thrust with the heavy giant shield, the giant shield moved back like lightning and blocked the Golden Knight's golden greatsword again.

Unfortunately, he was facing two Master-level experts at the same time, even though one of them was only a summoned creature.

Beta took a step to the left and flicked his wrist back, attacking from the enemy's right side. His longsword stabbed at the Guardian Warrior's waist again.

This time, the Guardian Warrior could no longer protect himself with the giant shield. He had no choice but to protect his waist with the black broadsword in his hand.

After a clink, the broadsword blocked the enemy's thrust. Before the Guardian Warrior had time to breathe a sigh of relief, he felt that something was wrong.

The thrust was too weak and did not match the attack speed at all.

He was also a very experienced person. He knew that he had been tricked and was about to retreat, but it was already too late.

A gold coin suddenly appeared in Beta's left hand, and then a dazzling golden light burst out.

The coin bombarded.

The huge magic kinetic energy instantly hit the Guardian Warrior's chest, and even the anti-magic armor had a large dent in an instant. The Guardian Warrior, on the other hand, was pushed away by the powerful force and pushed against the wall.

In the midst of the flying sand and stones, a large part of the palace wall collapsed, and the scattered stones buried the Guardian Warrior.

If the Guardian Warrior could use the giant shield to protect himself, Beta's coin bombardment wouldn't have had such a big effect. It was just a pity that the gap in combat experience determined the grasp of the rhythm of the battle between the two.

Players were very good at finding the enemy's weakness, and if the enemy didn't reveal it for the time being, then they would find a way to lure out his weakness or flaw.

The confrontation between the two people and the summoned creature actually lasted less than two seconds before the outcome was decided.

The passage ahead became clear again, but the enemies in the rear hadn't caught up yet.

The Golden Knight continued to charge, and Beta once again hid behind the Knight. This spell seemed to be even more useful than in the game.

The Guardian Warrior seemed to be the last checkpoint to protect the king, and Beta didn't encounter any decent enemies on his way to the king's bedchamber. There was no need for him to do anything at all; under the Golden Knight's greatsword, no one was a match.

Soon, Beta arrived at the king's bedchamber, which was no longer guarded. The reason was simple: the king, queen, and the others had already hidden themselves the moment the alarm was sounded.

After knocking out a few Elite-level soldiers outside, Beta walked in. In the resplendent bedroom, there was only a scantily clad female elf sitting on the edge of the bed. The king was escaping and naturally wouldn't take a slave with him.

And if the king had taken the elven slave, then Beta had a way to find her, it would just take more time.

There was some expectation in the female elf's eyes, but when she saw that Beta and the Golden Knight weren't beneath elves, her eyes went numb at once.

Beta didn't explain too much and directly teleported the female elf into the Mystra's Mansion.

Then he ordered the Golden Knight to break through the side door on the west and head for the rendezvous point that he mentioned earlier.

Because of the heavy rain, the royal elites stationed next to the palace didn't have time to rescue them, so naturally, they couldn't stop them much.

On the other side of the crystal ball, it was the scene where Shirley and the others rescued the elves. However, like Beta, the three of them were all wearing black scarves and black robes, and it was hard to tell from their figures whether they were men or women.

"How interesting. How interesting! " The king suddenly swept the crystal ball on the table to the ground and roared with veins on his forehead, "How damn interesting!"

He took a deep breath. "Inform the logistics army to withdraw the security alert and let them go … Damn elves, I'll make you pay one day."

As far as the king knew, only the lunatics of Nature's Wrath among the elves would attack the capital and break into the palace for a few slaves.

Two short and two long bells rang in the palace, and now no one stopped Beta from leaving.

The rendezvous point was in a grove outside the capital. When he arrived, Shirley and the others were already waiting. When Beta saw them, he simply dispelled the control of the Golden Knight and stored Shirley and the others into the Mystra's Mansion. Then, he activated Teleportation and left.

The Mystra's Mansion wasn't very big, and it was already a little crowded with five people, but now that a dozen people were crammed in, it suddenly became full.

Alice and Julie explained the situation to the rescued elves and comforted them.

Beta, on the other hand, teleported directly to the outskirts of Perth this time.

In Djibouti, the dark clouds in the sky instantly disappeared, and the storm stopped. The moon hung coldly in the sky, and the alarm was lifted. The king, wearing a woolen cloak, watched the water downstairs gradually freeze into ice.

"The elves have mastered weather magic?" The king's eyes were full of surprise. "And such a large area, without any magic waves at all. How did they do it?"

The royal Mage next to him added, "No matter how they did it, I only know that the elves are more and more difficult to deal with now, and we can't afford to offend them."

"To save a few elves, they dared to rain a storm in my capital and attack my palace." The king still had the same disbelieving and angry expression on his face. "Is there anything they don't dare to do?"

The royal Mage chuckled and said, "Your people are bold enough to go deep into the Elf Forest to capture slaves for some money and beauty. In a way, I think they are bolder."

Hearing this, the king's original angry mood suddenly improved, and he sneered, "Then I will encourage these lowly slave hunters a lot."
