*HUFF** *PUFF*

Chakra levels are decreasing... The cuts are getting worse... My explosive tags have nearly run out... Even my breath is starting to get heavy.

I thought this while hiding behind a tree. I was wrapping a bandage around my forearm as my flak jacket was ripped.

After catching my breath, I sent some chakra to my nose and ears. Two of them were together while one was by himself. Two of the chunin had split up while one of the Genin had joined them.

Using a plan, maybe I could split them up for some time which will allow me to have a window of surprise.

I thought while climbing to gain some higher ground in the trees. While they were at the bottom, I was at the top trying to gain some insight into them.

Ok, so the Genin was not far away from the other one.

"Have you got any clue of him yet?!" The chunin spoke loudly.

"No, but his blood is around here!" The Genin replied.

Silently, I went around to where he was and looked down at the Genin, now it was time to use this territory to my advantage.

I thought while I dug a shuriken with a string in the tree...

...

-POV Genin-

Hmm... Maybe he could be above but there should still be a bloody trail... Unless he stopped the bleeding in this time.

As I carried on walking, I noticed something strange.

"Have you found a clue yet!" I shouted to my teammate.

I didn't get a reply...

"Yo!.. How far have you gone?!" I yelled again,... But still, no reply came.

Wait... Haven't I been here before?... I thought as I looked at this tree I passed just some time ago.

Did I just go around in circles?... Or... Genjutsu!...

Release!...

I was right there seem to be a Genjutsu placed around here...

Well, it won't stop me for long...

Just as I was about to turn the corner, I heard grunting and moaning... Looking down, I saw a trail of blood leading to a seemingly half-dead person... It was my teammate.

How?!... Was it the enemy!... He killed my teammate who was a chunin... Who's he going for next... I need some information.

I thought while looking at my teammate who seemed to be trying to tell me something while keeping pressure on his neck.

I'm not sad about his death since we all had to kill our own classmates at the academy but we were comrades... And out of respect, I will pay my condolences after this.

"Do you want to tell me something?" I asked while walking toward him.

I saw his eyes that were in despair as he desperately held on to his neck, he was trying to mouth something to me but I still couldn't understand.

"Agh!" He yelled...

I finally walked over to him.

"What di-"

*SLASH*

I got cut off as soon as I felt the cold metal of a dyed red sword pierce through my heart.

The stinging pain on my flesh being penetrated made me realise my situation.

I turned around only to see the blank look of a boy who was much younger than me, his hands were tightly clenched onto his sword as he removed it from my chest immediately.

The dead body of my teammate which was there before...

Was no longer there...

It was a double Genjutsu...

...

*THUD*

Now only two more people are left to kill... I thought as the lifeless body of his fell to the floor. But I didn't give it a second look as I immediately put it on top of my shoulder.

While I was hiding his body, I still had my chakra directed toward my senses to keep track of their location.

One was in the vicinity but the other was far away...

"Did you finally find him or not!" He yelled while he was right under me.

I used this chance to pull a string on a tree that wrapped around him and tied him up.

Just before he had a chance to yell out anything, I threw a kunai which went through his head and silenced him.

*CLANG*

A heard a shuriken coming my way but I was too late to dodge. It pierced through my ankle.

He tricked me with his location... And waited for the right moment and went for a hard spot to dodge... The ankle.

I quickly hopped over to the tree next to me and threw an explosive tag behind me which made him go back.

The kunai was still stuck in my ankle... If I pull it out now it'll start bleeding a lot.

There were still my strings which were still all over the forest... But would he fall into the trap was the question.

Just as I was thinking about this, I heard some barking and a childish scream coming from the side.

*WOOF*

"ARRGH!!"

Peeking over to the corner, I saw Kibira using her four-legged technique to go after the chunin.

Sigh... Perfect timing.

It seems the Chunin had low chakra levels so Kibira was on the winning end... She kept driving him into my strings which immediately made me hold on to the string tightly to pull it as soon as I can.

I could see her having trouble with him as they went further into the fight. It was mostly just taijutsu but it seems this chunin was good in close quarters.

I only had around a quarter of my reserves left. If I help her I'd probably become exhausted but if I wait it out until she gets him into a trap they'd both die but it's a win for me.

I don't think she can even win so I won't take any chances.

As they were trading blows, I saw Kibira being pushed back... No... This wasn't good... I needed to use something.

I thought as I wrapped an explosive tag around a kunai and threw it while peeking out.

Both of them stared wide-eyed at this and jumped back... Checkmate.

I quickly pulled the strings, which wrapped him tightly in a knot.

Immediately I threw a kunai which penetrated his head.

He was finally dead...
