Naruto: One Step At A Time

Ok. After writing 40+ chapters, here is my review of it. First of all, this book is for evil MC readers. I mean real evil MC readers. Not MC's who can kill a lot of people but somehow becomes attached to a woman. Second, the MC is purely out for himself and will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. Third, the MC will never become attached to anybody. By the way, the first 10 chapters are quite rough. My writing was a lot different back then. I will go back and edit them when I finish this story or if I'm nearly there Please try your best to read 15-20 chapters before heavily criticising my work. I know it's hard not to but just try. -------------------------------------- Ok so here's my opinion on this story. Character Design I know character design is one of the things I did right in this story out of the many things I messed up. If I had a chance, I wouldn't go back and change how I fleshed out the characters around the MC. Interactions with each character in the story I think was pretty realistic. It is one of the easier things to write for me after all. The bad thing about my character design I'd say is my MC. Yes, this is one thing I'd want to change if I went back to write it again but mistakes are something to learn from I guess. I think with my MC, I went a bit too fast with him so it's like all this ambition came from nowhere. This is something I will 100% fix in my next story. --------------------- Story Development: Purely my opinion this,... But I think my pacing and development is my own style and I like it. It goes faster as the chapters go on because I don't want to waste time with fillers in the middle nearing the end arc of the story. Even then I don't think there are any useless chapters in this story. Every chapter has something that connects to the main storyline. ------------------- Writing Quality I'd say the writing quality isn't bad nor is it good, basically average. It is readable and I'd say that it goes into the story in great detail. The first 10 to 15 chapters are a bit rough but it gets a lot better on. ------- Timelines I messed up with the timelines a bit but it won't really matter in the future since it'll all be the same. The mishap isn't even that serious. Fighting Scenes Probably the worst thing in this story. This is my weak point so I find this so hard to write. -------------- Stability Of Updates This is probably my strongest point since I basically do daily updates.

Alright. After 30 Chapters...This is my review. For my fellow Evil MC readers, you won’t be disappointed with this novel. Here Goes: What will you do if thrown into a world filled with dangers? What will you do if thrown into a world where immortality was possible? WIll you waste away? Becoming nothing more than a nameless pebble by the roadside? Or will you steel yourself and grasp the hand of power, gowing from a mere pebble to a mountain by any means necessary? Pros: Character Design: This story follows Yokuma, a high functioning sociopath, finding himself in the world of Naruto. Unlike other fics where they have cheats, he has nothing but his wits and grits. The author has done well in providing a clear description about his personalities and what drives him forward. Yokuma here cares about nothing but his goals. He will do ANYTHING, even harming himself, to achieve his goals. A wise man once said: Be ruthless onto others but even more so to yourself on the path to power. Yokuma here properly exhibits that. The side characters also have a sense of depth to them, not purely 2D carbon cut-outs. There’s no Romance, Harem or Familial piety. The MC cares about none of that except for what benefits him. World Building: Nothing much to say about the world building since this is a fanfic. Still, the descriptions are good and paints a clear image about the world as whole. Development: The progress of the story is very good. It’s neither fast nor slow. It gives you that itch for the next chapter. To know what happens next. So far, the story’s progress is good. Cons: Repetitions: Now, my slight quibble will be the incessant reminders about his inner thoughts. Don’t get me wrong, It’s definitely a good thing but it’s sometimes not needed in certain places. Breaks the immersion a bit. But maybe this is just my own slight issue. It’s not much of a problem. Grammar: The grammar is also good but the author still needs to work on his sentence structuring . The run-on sentences and punctuations need to be addressed further. However, compared to most other WN books this is miles better. All in all, this FanFic is a beautiful one and I highly recommend it.

The author is new. Fanfic is nice. Personally, I enjoy the evil genre. so I like it more. Looks like the author has a nice grip on naruto verse powers and techniques. At least, I liked it so far. And as per webnovel original, quality. This is already good. I just hope he doesn't drop it and go on hiatus.

Pretty good storyline, nice characters, and fine grammar. No reason not to read.

I don't know bout others but I don't like this ff. Every single detail is explained I mean like too much explaining bout wat he's doing. So I dropped it. It won't be fair if I just gave it 1star without come. Completing so 3 star.

This novel was good with no romance/harem and a seemingly evil MC.. and he was until the Hokage appeared... The author did the thing that makes me cringe with making the 3rd Hokage "evil" which automatically makes me want to drop the story so unless someone can covince me with a reason for the Hokage being evil I remain unconvinced... also the MC saw it in the Hokage's eye(?).

To be honest, this is the best naruto fanfic I have ever read. The MC is just too good, the storyline is definitely the best. I just want to say this to the author, I am begging you, never drop it. I would also appreciate more frequent updates.

It's always been fun to see criminal bad guys doing clever ways to kill, steal, and cheat, although I don't really like seeing these vile acts in reality, but in the stories they are exciting and exciting that's frankly crazy, mc walks the path right

Awesome story has high potential and it felt like holyjokers and i like the way he think everything is useful for him.

This is one of the best evil mc stories there are. The author did a good job of making his character evil and calculating. I really hope the author updates soon as it's been 10 months since the last update.

This is just a bait for antihero/villain MC fan. This has nothing else going for it, bad writing, no real plotline, gaping loopholes (like using wrist watch in narutoverse during 3rd war time, writing captain america comic to make money etc...) People tried helping author like telling him he can change captain america comic which contain too much modern world with onepiece or cindrealla which might be more easy for shinobi to understand. And author's respond was 'think whatever comic you want, he will make money with it'. He does similar lazy plotlines in the futures too by pulling out illogical actions to justify giving things to MC to force the story forward.
