Naruto: Hole Dweller

Partially based off the song 'Hole Dweller' by Kikuo. I can't think of a good thing to write here, so just listen to the song above. It will explain a lot more than any abstract can.

Wh- oh yeah. These memories, they are mine, yes. I am complete, finally. I thank the one who saved my memories, I know much sure it wasn't Anubis.

-I open my closed eyes for the first time-

All I see is darkness, around me. This isn't correct, where am I? It seems as if I have been left somewhere, next to a tree.

The tree smells rancid, I can feel the movement on the inside as if thousands of bugs were moving at once.

A toddlers mind is weak, let me sleep.

What is there?

I feel so... alive for once. It is like I am together with the stars again.

I want to be free, all I can do is wait here. My limbs are.. longer? Haven't I only slept for a few hours?

-I try to turn to look at the leaves-

Orange? how long have I slept?

Although I do not value the time I slept, I wonder how long my next sleep will be.

God is dead anyways, who else would stop m-

I hear the clock ticking again, but I am not laying next to the tree. I have a fully grown body again, with no scars or blemishes. I don't care I am naked, all of it has passed anyways.

I look around to see a seemingly infinite flower field, with all types of butterflies. It fills me with a sense of belonging. What enchants this scene is a sky filled with endless stars and galaxies, like fi the world opened up and showed me it's deepest secrets.

I look behind me, where the ticking was, but I didn't expect a rotting tree towering over everything. Even though I seem to be extremely far away from it, the stump along fills up almost all my vision.

The branches, although huge, do not bear any leaves. In fact, I see large amounts of butterflies flying around the tree in an enchanting spiral pattern.

The noise never stops, but I don't mind it.

I do not know how long I have been here, but I don't mind it. If I spend the rest of my life like this, I would enjoy all of it to it's fullest.

.

As I look more and more at the tree, the more I want it. Even if it looks disgusting, that doesn't matter.

After a time of walking, I make it to the tree. It has intricate patters on it, like something carved perfectly. These patterns are so small you would need to get close, but they exist on every single bit of the tree.

-I walk up to the tree and touch it-

Suddenly, my head starts to hurt from information being forced into there.

.

.

After another unknown amount of time, it stops.

I see, this is my inner world. This is what my individuality looks like, my thoughts, feelings, soul, memories, everything... It is so beautiful-

I force myself out of this world, I still want to see the other world. If I had a choice, I would rather see what other things the world can offer outside of myself.

-I start to make hand seals: Ox, Mirrored Ram, Dog, Monkey, Rat, Tiger, Boar, Bird, Snake, then touch the ground-

The world fades away as my mind goes blank, waking up from my slumber.

.

I wake up to see my arms and legs slightly shorter, with dirty and disheveled thigh length hair. My white nails are broken and my skin is weathered. How long was I asleep?

What am I? If I were a regular human I would've died.

I look around to see everything in a large radius is monochrome, with black lines leading toward me.

I try to walk, but I fall over. I go and grab a dead branch to assist me, as I walk towards a source of water. I feel thirsty, hungry, and I can see my bones extremely clearly. Am I undead?

As I get to the still lake, I take a look around. Only trees, nothing else, only trees. Good, I try to see my reflection.

All I see is an ancient being with light grey hair with black uneven streaks going through it. Their face is symmetrical, but extremely malnourished. Their eyes are pitch black, but look extremely dry. All the bones on the body are visible, and I can smell the scent of death from my mouth.

I need to clean up.

.

.

My hair seems a little better now, but I need something to eat. Whenever I think of food, I don't feel anything. The more I try to think about it, the less I feel.

But then... I looked *in* in the air. I don't understand, but I can see it. This strange life energy feels familiar, extremely familiar.

I try to hold it, but it is too thin. I try to scoop, it passes through my hand. I try to pull, but it doesn't move.

An instinctual feeling aroused inside of me, something natural. A warm feeling passed through my body as I felt something start to rotate inside of me.

This thing in the air started to be pulled towards me in a spiral pattern.

.

.

.

After almost all of that thing was gone, I stopped. I felt.... full.

Looking at my reflection again, I was surprised.

There was what looked like a 18 year old boy with a face even men would fall for. He has lively light grey hair with random black streaks going through it, even his eye lashed were light grey. His body was slim, not too much and not too little on every little part. His hair reached his calves now, but it didn't feel wrong.

I look into the starry sky, enamored in it. Although I never took notice of it outside of my inner world so far, I feel a deeper connection with it. I can feel it call to me, I can feel a sense of familiarity to it.

It fills me with desire, a desire to one day reach the stars. A longing to exist freely, without any worry, away from all my trouble.

A/N:

If you didn't understand, I won't blame you. I will just explain right now if that makes it easier for you readers. Basically, when Cho was reborn, he has the natural ability to be unnoticed under any circumstance due to [redacted]. This is the reason nothing noticed him. Every time he went to "sleep," he was also absorbing all the chakra and nature energy around him. The reason he was so malnourished was because he used up all of the natural energy around him, and therefore needed to absorb in a different spot. He aged from newborn to adult so fast because all of this was in the frame of 19 years, but it felt like a few fractured moments. Yes, his parents abandoned him already. It's basically law for naruto fanfics.

After I redid the first chapter, I completely forgot to talk about my plans. I do plan to make this a romance, but I do not know anything about romance.

I know and love Naruto much more than Tensura, which is why I will not update that fanfic anymore.

There will be little amounts of other anime and such, but I will keep it to a minimum. (ex: Domain expansion, inner world)
