NANNY

Romania's pov

I have to get my kids a nanny until my parents can make it here. Apparently they are somewhere on an island for a month. I help the kids with their homework and prepare them for bed. Xander has not been eating well. I will have to inform the doctor to come check on him. After they are in bed, I go to my room and get ready for bed and Lia's face flushes before me. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

I wake up at 5:00am to get ready for work and get my kids ready for school. I only have servants to clean the house and compound. The rest is all me. That's why a nanny would be great help. After breakfast, we all get ready to leave and I notice Xander is gloomier than usual, "Xander, are you sure you want to go to school? I can stay with you and call the doctor." I asked him, feeling as if he had a fever. "I'm okay dad, maybe it's a bug or something." He said, picking up his bag and rushed to the car, rushing towards Xandria and she just shrugged.

After dropping them at school, I speed off to work. Why am I happy to go to work? Why? Anyway, I will figure it out later. I walked to my office getting ready for another long day, "Good morning Lia, may I see you in the office please." I told her as I walked past her office and my breath hitched after I saw her. She will be the death of me. She is in a light brown pant suit and heels with a yellow scarf. She looks perfect.

She walks right in after I'm settled down. "Dude, you are my boss! So what should I call you?" She asks with a serious face, why can't she just lighten up around me? "Romania is fine, please email me my schedule and do me a favor please." "What sir." she asks with the same serious expression. "Please help me find a nanny for my kids, I've been doing that but I end up getting the wrong people all the time." I say and dismiss her. "Okay sir I'll be on it." She replied and walked out.

I got a call from school to go pick up Xander and take him to the doctor. Apparently, he got worse. "Sir are you okay?" Lia asked in the middle of the meeting. Everybody on the screens stopped talking and looked at us. I had to excuse myself and find someone to go for Xander and take him to the company's hospital. I called out Lia to ask if she had found a nanny and explained everything to her. She offered to go for Xander and take him to the doctor.

Lia's pov

I rushed out of the office to get to school and pick up the poor kid. If I get some free time, I will help them for a while until Romania's parents come back. All the nanny companies claimed they were fully booked. It was all weird. It's like they were avoiding sending a nanny over for Romania's kids. I mean the kids can't be that bad and, obviously, the payment is great unless they are scared of Romania.

When I reached the school, I saw a teacher standing with a gloomy Xander at the gate. I went towards them and Xander ran towards me and hugged me. I saw tears in his eyes and hugged him back, shushing him. The teacher walked towards us smiling and introduced herself, explaining what happened. "I hope you can stay with them for a while, Xander seems to like you more." The teacher said, walking off.

I knelt in front of him and asked, "hey kiddo, what happened? I rubbed my knuckles on his soft cheeks. "Don't ever leave us again, please." He said in between sobs. My heart broke for this little boy. He missed his mother. "C'mon love, let's take you to the doctor first, then we will talk about that. Okay love?" He nodded as we walked towards the car. He keeps on smiling at me all the way to the doctor and I know this kid is really in need of some motherly love. Maybe I can stay with them after school and help them for a while. I get off work by three in the afternoon. I have enough time to pick them up and take them home.

The check-up took up all my work time but I explained it to dude, I had to go pick up Xandria and take her to the hospital where Xander was resting in one of the rooms. He woke up when we walked in and smiled at us. "Dear brother, I know you missed Lia. You could have just told dad to call her." she tells her brother, shaking her head in amusement. I just looked at them shocked, he got sick because he missed me!

"Lets get you guys home. I have already talked to your dad and he said it's fine." I told them and picked up their bags and carried them as we walked to my car. I open up the back and let them in, putting the bags between them and putting on their seat belts. I got in and drove towards their house. "How do you know where we live?" Xandria asked. "I was given the address by your dad and I was also given permission to cook for you and help you with your homework." I said with a cheeky grin. They start giggling, "so you are going to stay with us like a nanny?" Xandria asks happily. "Yes my loves, until your grandparents come next month. So we are going to have lots and lots of fun." I tell them and giggle at their reaction.

"Damn, it's a freaking mansion, you guys live here alone?" "Yes, the cleaners come daily but they leave before we come back, so that we can have the whole house to ourselves, but its lonely sometimes." Xander says. We went in and I was in love with the house. " Holy crackers!" "What?" the kids asked. "This house is amazing, its like a fairy tale come to live." "Okay Lia, come let's give you a tour. You are gonna love it," they said as they pulled me towards the stairs.

After the tour, I prepared their bath water for them. I started with Xandria and made sure she was all ready to do her homework. After braiding her hair, I went to Xanders' room to do the same. I helped them with their homework. Afterwards, we went to prepare dinner. "Guys, what do you want to eat? I will cook anything you want." I said, winking at them. "We want pizza, chicken with veggies and with extra cheese." they said together, which is so creepy. I smile at them and get all the ingredients.

I take out my phone and put it on my playlist and we start to sing along to" I'm broken and it's beautiful" as we dance and prepare the dough for pizza. Along the way, we had a flour fight, then we went to do the toppings and made sure to add extra extra cheese.

Romania's pov

This day has just ended. I am really tired. Thank God for Lia, she didn't mind taking care of my babies. I can go home and rest well tonight. I grabbed my things and left the office. When I reached home, I saw the lights on and knew they were still up. So I entered and was greeted with laughter from the kitchen. I strolled towards the kitchen and stood at the door. My kids were laughing and dancing to Kelly Clarkson, even Xander was dancing and singing. They are happy, they add extra cheese to the toppings behind Lia's back and giggle.

"What did you guys do? I will tickle you guys until you pee your pants if you don't tell me why you're giggling." She tells them with a mischievous look on her face. I want to keep looking at them, they are so happy. "We did nothing!" Xandria says, giggling. She turns and looks at Xander, "I might have added extra cheese by mistake." He says giggling. "Oh love you are clumsy just like me, I also added extra veggies by mistake." She tells them, making funny faces at them and they all burst out laughing. They all fall down laughing and rolling on the floor like they are crazy.

I chuckle at their antics and shake my head, they sit on the floor and laugh at an inner joke because they keep on looking at one another and laugh like it's their last. Lia looks up and notices my presence, "hey dude, welcome home." She says chuckling and the kids look up and stand running towards me. "Daddy, you are home, we missed you so much." They say together as they hug me and I bend down to return their hugs.

Lia puts the pizza in the oven to cook and turns around to look at our little reunion with a smile tugging on the corner of her lips.

"I see you guys had fun today and Xander, how are you feeling now?" I asked them. "I'm good dad. Lia made it all better. Now I will eat and grow up to be a strong boy." He says, smiling widely. I can see joy in their eyes, something I've not seen for a long time, and there's another brightness in their eyes. I don't know what it is. "Guys, I have to go home now, I have other babies to take care of." Lia says and we all turn to look at her. "Please don't go, we will be good and eat a lot of veggies." Xandria says pouting and I chuckle at her antics. Xander ran and hugged her, "Oh come here loves," she tells them, and then Xandria joins them.

She holds their hands and kisses their knuckles and smiles at them, "You know, I will come again tomorrow and we will have double fun." She tells them. "You two are my favorite kids. Not even Lechi and Achi can compete with you. I love you so much and you will always be my star." She told them and my eyes were wet, that is the sweetest thing ever. "You pinky promise?" They asked and raised their pinky towards her. She joined her pinky with theirs and nods, "I promise, my loves." She tells them and hugs them so tight. She says goodbye and leaves me with two gloomy children. I felt empty and cold too. The house was cold without her around.
