Betrayal

"Uncle, who was that person?" Zuko was still tired from all the running they did. He was crouched down beneath a tree with a confused expression.

Iroh had a solemn look in his face as he looked at his nephew, "I don't know, but the aura of blood with him is definitely not fake."

"Aura of blood?" Zuko was even more confused. "What's that?"

The old man shook his head at his nephew's cluelessness. "The aura of blood, something that only people who had killed an unmeasurable amount of people, directly or indirectly." He hesitated speaking anymore but soon continued, "Our ancestor, Fire Lord Sozin, the person who had started the Hundred Year War was the person who had the biggest aura of blood. Because the war has been passed down to each of our generation, from his era to ours, the actions of the Fire Nation has been giving the Fire Lords the indirect aura of blood, and even some direct ones."

"Does this mean you have it too?" The young man didn't stop asking questions.

"I led the siege on Ba Sing Se, so of course I would." He sighed in regret, the memories of his son surfaced. He blamed himself, because of his carelessness, he had lost his only son.

Zuko was currently processing his uncle's words and suddenly remembered something. "Then... what about that person with the unique hair color, what kind of aura of blood does he have?"

Iroh frowned and shook his head. "He has a powerful direct and indirect aura of blood in him. Especially the direct one, I've never felt it before, but he must have killed at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions."

Zuko froze and looked at the direction of the Eastern Air Temple. "A very dangerous person."

"I cannot teach you how to energybend." Guru Pathik, who was currently healing the injured Nero, rejected Qin Yang's request.

"Why not?" Qin Yang was frustrated, but he wasn't angry.

"First of all, you will not be able to learn it, only the Avatar is able to use it properly. Second, I have sensed your bloodlust and it seems like I have saved the wrong person. If you were to learn it, then I'm afraid you will use it for the wrong reasons. Therefore even if I die, I will not teach you." Guru Pathik was blunt with his words and did not hold back.

Qin Yang fell silent and Guru Pathik thought that he had finally given up. However, he was extremely mistaken.

"Then if you aren't going to teach me, it's time for me to leave and continue my journey." Guru Pathik sighed with relief that the boy had given up, but Qin Yang continued. "And then I will go visit the last living lion turtle in the Fire Nation, where he will teach me to control my energybending." Qin Yang smirked and spread out his palm, showing the shining silver-gold light between it.

Guru Pathik was horrified and amused. He knew that there was still a living lion turtle out there, because it was the one who taught him, but he didn't know where it was now but it seemed that Qin Yang exactly knew.

He was even more horrified at Qin Yang's ability to energybend and even earthbend, it was clear that the lion turtle was not the one who taught him, and neither did he. Which would most likely mean that he was a natural energybender and a talented waterbender as well.

However, who could explain his ability to earthbend? Only the Avatar could control more than one element!

Guru Pathik was contemplating what to do. It wasn't his mission to make sure that no one becomes a threat to the Avatar, but Qin Yang was special. He was a talented bender and was even a natural born energybender, a person who had never existed before.

However, with those positive traits were negative ones. Qin Yang had shown extreme maliciousness, ruthlessness, and a powerful amount of bloodlust, meaning that he had killed a lot of people.

If all he had was his positive traits, then Guru Pathik would not mind teaching him. However, because of his attitude, he can't let him leave, otherwise, he would be someone who could possibly be the Avatar's biggest hurdle. Not to mention he knows the existence of the lion turtle, the spirit might really teach him!

Qin Yang turned around and was about to leave without saying his goodbyes, but chimera beasts suddenly blocked his path.

"Apologies Qin Yang, however I cannot let you leave anymore." The Guru had decided the path that he would soon regret.

Qin Yang expected such an action, but he couldn't help himself give out a provocation to the Guru. "Are you sure you're gonna let me kill all these animals?"

The Guru, for the first time, lost his cool. He shuddered at Qin Yang's words and was beginning to regret his decision of using the animals to fight the ruthless Qin Yang. But there was no choice, and he could only continue down the path he chose.

"There is no medicine for regret." The old man sighed and continued, "Stop him."

Roar!

Hundreds of beasts surrounded Qin Yang, but he didn't panic. Instead, he showed a sadistic smile.

"Die."

Earth spikes suddenly appeared below and pierced the rushing animals like barbeque on a stick.

Although the earth spikes were powerful, they were not enough to kill all of the animals.

"I'm not good enough to control my firebending, but it doesn't matter in this situation. Let's see it's power." Qin Yang muttered and roared, releasing fire all around him.

His firebending had reached level 4, which kept increasing his control in a very unreasonable rate.

Guru Pathik, who was currently watching was flabbergasted. "How can he use the three elements and energybending? Don't tell me he could also use airbending!" His shock couldn't be described in words. For almost 10 thousand years, no one could be like the Avatar and control more than one element, but right in front of him was a young boy controlling three of them.

If he didn't know who the Avatar was, then he might have thought that the person if front of him was the Avatar himself.

'Is he similar to the Avatar that was fused with a spirit? No, that's impossible. Even if he was, it would not explain his ability to bend the other elements as there is only one remaining lion turtle.' The Guru was busy with his thoughts that he didn't notice what Qin Yang was doing.

He was kicking the air, releasing sharp wind slashes in the air, cutting the remaining animals surroundings him. Because he was still level 1 in airbending however, he occasionally cut himself by accident and even almost sliced his own leg off.

Qin Yang was satisfied with the results. Although airbending and firebending had only reaped the leftovers, it was good enough for him.

"So that's all your pets can offer? What a shame." It seems like he had liked the feeling of provoking the Guru and even kicked their bodies.

The Guru didn't say anything but the sadness in his eyes did all the talking for him.

Qin Yang sat down on one of the dead bodies beside him and shook his head. "Did you know I had no intention of interfering with the Avatar's journey and the fate of the world? All I wanted was to master the elements itself, but it seems that there would always be people who wants things to go their own way."

Qin Yang smiled brightly at the Guru, but it looked like the devil's grin to him. "I should thank you for helping open my eyes." Qin Yang walked towards the old man and carried him by the neck, choking him.

"I will be the person who will decide what I would do in the world I visit. If I want to destroy it, or save it. As long as I get a positive view of things here, then you can expect me to save your little world, for I am grateful to you for saving me." The Guru didn't struggle and only stared and listened to Qin Yang's words, which answered all of his questions about Qin Yang's identity.

"However, for attacking me, you shall pay the ultimate price." Qin Yang didn't waste any more time and crushed his neck.

Qin Yang already expected it to happen and smiled cheerfully. He dropped the Guru's lifeless body and looked at 'unconscious' Nero.

"I know you're awake, stand up." The earthbender, who had already awoken when the battle started, had witnessed and heard everything.

Nero stood up and lowered his head, expecting his death as well. However, all that came was a pat in his shoulders.

"Aren't you going to kill me to hide your secrets?" The earthbender was confused of Qin Yang's attitude.

"I don't care if anyone finds out that I'm from another world, but I want you to join me and become my loyal follower. As long as you are eternally loyal, I will give you all you want, power, money, anything you can think of." Qin Yang grinned.

He was like this in his original world. As long as he found someone competent that could be loyal, he will take them under his wing.

"I will join you." Nero didn't hesitate with his decision. Although Qin Yang had killed his benefactor, he understood that it was because the Guru tried to stop Qin Yang. Nero was a broad-minded person who had to survive by himself after the his parents died to the war.

"Very good. Now it's time for us to leave and head to the Earth Kingdom." Although Qin Yang seemed like a hotheaded person, he was a cunning person in the inside who knew how to read a person.

Although Nero's loyalty was high to begin with, it was better to refine it until it was strengthened to it's maximum.

"Earth Kingdom, here we come."
