Testing Area ch 2

Max arrived at his location,he paid the driver and walked up to the building.

The building was 20 stories high,it had many people going in and out.

As he approached the huge door he noticed a few eyes staring at him but he just ignored them,as he is used to it.

Walking in the building he went to the nearest reception desk.

"Good evening and how may I help you today."The receptionist said with a smile.

"I would like to use the testing area for 1 hours."

"Alright sir...that would be $200"The receptionist said.

Max gave the $200 to the receptionist.

The receptionist gave him a card and gave him

the directions to the testing area.

John made his way to the 5th floor and went into the testing area.

He made his way to testing dummy and got ready to test if his skills now work.

He could see many people also practicing there skills.

He faced the dummy and thought of using his skill fire ball.

A warm feeling enveloped his outstretched hand...after 2 seconds a ball of flames the size of a baseball appeared and immediately rushed towards the dummy.

A small explosion could be heard but it was not even the size of an grenade explosion.

A message appeared above the dummy's head.

[-50hp]

'It barely did anything'Max thought.

He continued to cast more fire balls.

He vated until he reached a total of fifty.

"How am I not out of mana yet,I'k don't even feel exhausted."Max said.

From talking to people he found out that the more you use your skills the more exhausted you become and you will eventually run out of mana which will make you extremely weak until you get atleast a quarter of your mp back.

He casted 50 more until he got the notification he wanted.

[Your efficiency in the skill fireball has went up by 10%.It now does 60 hp per attack]

"Let's now use fire spear."Max said.

A long spear that was made up of flames came from his hand.

When it hit the dummy it still said minus 50 hp,so it did not do enough damage.

He was still new to using his skills so he missed a few of his shots.

After 5 minutes the same notification appeared.

[Your efficiency in the skill fire spear has went up by 10%.It now does 60 hp per attack.]

Max was really excited,as of now his mana hasn't run out and he was beginning to think that he had infinite mana or something.

He began using water sheild which was basically a small sheild made up of water and the only way to get your efficiency up with this skill is to have it active for 5 minutes, so he will do just that.

[Your efficiency in using the skill water sheild has gone up by 10%.It's damage reduction is now at 60]

"System what does water control do again?"Max asked

[Water control allows the caster to control water in the area and use it as they please.Takes 20 mp for each 30 second you use this skill.To gain more control over the skill you must have a high number in your intelligence stat]

"Ok, let's te..."but before he could finish the card in his pocket started vibrating,this means that his time was up and he needed to exit the building in 15 minutes or security guards would come find him.

He went back to the ground floor and handed in the card and called a taxi to go back home.

When he reached home jumped on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

He couldn't help but laugh as the information was now soaking in his brain.

Not only can he finally use skills now, it seemed like he had an unlimited supply of mp.

His life will now definitely get better.

But first things first he needed to gain efficiency in his skills and he needed a way to gain levels.

The only way to do that is by going to dungeons and killing monsters.

The closes dungeon he knew of us an E rank dungeon and he couldn't handle that at the moment.

"Wait..Ed has one...it's in his back hard and it's an F rank one at that."Max said sitting up.

He could handle an F rank dungeon pretty easily but the problem was it was a goblin dungeon.

Goblins was known for their savage nature,

there love for human women and them traveling in hives.

So before he could take that on he had to raise the efficiency in atleast two of his attack skills and one defenceman skills which he has.

"System what does dark aura and hallucination do "Max asked.

[User is at F rank.These skills are only available at E rank and above.]

"If that was the case why did you let me learn them if they were out of my rank?"Max was so confused.

The system would never allow anyone to get a skill that was above there rank.

As always he decided to look into it later.

He raised his palm and a small fireball formed.

He kept the fireball in his hand for 10 minutes straight.

[Your efficiency in the skill fireball has gone up by 10%.It now does 70 hp per attack]

"It actually works,I thought it was just some joke"he said.

He only thought that practicing skills will get you efficiency but as it turns out you could just have to keep the skill active until it gives the notification.

A lot of people don't do this because it drains your mp really fast.

But that doesn't seem like a problem for Max at all.

With every 10% efficiency gained the mp cost of that skill will go up,so the mana cost for his fireball skill should be like 20 to 40 mp per fireball or 20 to 30 mp for each second active.

He kept the fireball active for another 30 minutes bringing his efficiency up by 30% and the damage to be 100hp per attack.

That means his efficiency is at 50% as of now.

The fireball was the size of a baseball that seemed to burn the air around it.

He decided that was enough as he didn't plan on burning his appartment down.

One hour later he finished doing the same to fire spear and water sheild.

Both his efficiency in them were at 50%.

The spear was now 2 meters long,8 inches thick and it now does 100 hp per attack.

The sheild that was now the size of a normal sheild was now thicker and it's damage reduction was now 100.

He decided to do water control another time.

He was hungry so he decided to get something to eat.

Two cup noodles later and he was ready to leave.

He the outfit he had on earlier and headed for Ed's house.

He hoped no one had gone there yet,but that was kinda unlikely to happen as people don't normally go to F rank dungeons unless there rookies who just started to go to dungeons.

As the new American government whis is called

the Rankers Association of America(R.A.A)

has a general rule that no person under 15 should enter any portal even if it is an F rank.

But if he wanted to sell the cores he has,he would have to get his R.A.A card renewed,because it expired about a month ago.

He planned on doing that after he conceded this dungeon.
